I don't live in the city, but I studied in Milan at the Catholic University. There are lots of things to do and see. The city is quite a mess, but you can walk around and find cheap places for shopping and eating. Be careful to guys you meet around, especially if you go out at night because it's not a safe city for women. Never go out alone at night or if you do, don't drink! Have fun! Italian people speak really bad English, because when they're teenagers they misbehave all the time during their English classes at school...I know a lot about that... I know how to introduce myself, the alphabet, numbers and some of the verbs. I hope to know more over the summer Its an interesting language!!
