glorious revenge
Hi there, I just recently discovered Barbara's music after listening to it accidentally on tv one day and I love it! Very melodramatic songs... Problem is, I don't understand a word ot it:teehee:.. I was wondering if anyone who speaks French can translate this for me: The name of the song is "trois petites notes de musique" The lyrics are: Trois petites notes de musique Ont pli? boutique Au creux du souvenir C'en est fini de leur tapage Elles tournent la page Et vont s'endormir Mais un jour sans crier gare Elles vous reviennent en m?moire Toi, tu voulais oublier Un p'tit air galvaud? I'd be really grateful if someone can translate this for me or maybe tell me what it's about if the translation is too long.... camille*
I gave it a try, here's my translation Three little music notes Have gone away At the core of memories They won't disturb anymore They turn a corner And go to sleep But one day without warning They come back to your mind You wanted to forget A tarnished melody In the summer streets You will never forget One street, one summer A girl who was humming La, la, la, la I love you Sang the old tune La, la my love Lyrics without anything sublime As long as rhyme Always brings A holiday romance That insistently revives you True, she was so pretty So fresh, beaming And you did not pick her True, for her first shiver She was offering you a song To sing in unison La, la, la, la every dream Rhymes with end Yours doesn't have any sense Over before it's begun Just the time for a dance In the space of a refrain Three little music notes Make fun of you From the bottom of memories Lift a cruel veil On a thousand and one upsets Which don't want to die.
