METRO Tuesday, February 13, 2007 Flamboyant pop star Mika has announced a string of live dates - including a headline show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. The 23-year-old's gig on May 14 will be his biggest live date so far and follows on from dates in Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds. This is Mika's second tour in 2007, having sold out his forthcoming February dates. He also recently announced he will be playing Glastonbury Festival, alongside The Who, Arctic Monkeys and Bjork. The Beirut-born star has nailed a double coup this week after his debut album Life In Cartoon Motion went straight in at No 1 with over 100,000 sales. His single Grace Kelly has been at the top of the singles chart for four weeks, selling over 220,000 copies.
