  1. Do they do Best International Newcomer, I might have missed that. Katy might be in that too, she's up for Best International Female, against Beyonce, Pink, Gabriella Cilmi and someone else who I can't remember right now, NOT Brittney, thank goodness!
  2. No, I hadn't seen that! But it just shows he's human like the rest of us.
  3. You've got to let this Chesney obsession go, Violet!
  4. Nope, not this time, but next year I'm sure:wink2:
  5. Oooh, Fleet Foxes and MGMT are up for Best International Group. Best Male is poor this year apart from Paul Weller.
  6. CARLA!!! Good to see you back:wink2: Just watching this years Brit Nominations show, they showed some of last years, Mika and Beth, and Mikas scream when he collected the Best Breakthrough. Ah, the memories!
  7. I'm all in favour of pics and videos, that's part of the memories. Later I'll put up the pic I took in Paris of the 4x4 that had Mikas name on it, do you remember Sara? I got very excited seeing it!
  8. I'll be VERY upset if Cherisse goes, so I hope she doesn't! And as much as I'd love Sara to be back with him this year, I would love her to do well in her solo career more. Shes a lovely person with an incredible voice, I'd go to one of her gigs over Winehouse or Allen ANYDAY!
  9. I did ask her this, and at the moment, she's as in the dark about his tour dates as we are. I don't know if her own have been finalized yet, so it's still a bit up in the air. I thought I read somewhere she might be playing Paris, but not absolutely certain as yet.
  10. She was smiling a lot after, and was very chuffed that we turned up to see her play. Her friend Jo's mum lives not far from me, in Swindon 10 miles down the motorway. I even know the area she lives, delivered down there a few times.
  11. It was thanks ;-) You can check out the review in the Saranayde thread.
  12. Not much good to me right now, I'm not near a computer!!! LOL! But I'm off to bed anyway, just got in from Saranaydes show, and feeling pretty shattered. Night night ;-)
  13. There wasn't many people there, maybe about 40. I did get a nice after pic of Sara and Derek, he's a lovely bloke.
  14. You can tell how long its been since a gig, you guys are SO impatient! LOL!!! So I guess you're all waiting for me then? HA HA! I LOVE THIS POWER! Okay, first apologies, my camera decided to be a right basket tonight, working before the show, not wanting to play during, and raring to go after, I'm incredibly annoyed, and when I told Sara later she looked a little sad, and that made me feel awful. But Daisy has got the whole thing videoed, and it looks darn good if I say so myself (guess who did the filming? heh heh). As Jo Jo told you earlier, the soundcheck was amazing. I got there about 7pm and they were doing it. And I felt really special, as the people in front of me paid to get in, and I just showed my ticket, ah bliss! For a while, I was on my own, Daisy and her friend, who is a member here, but I can't remember her name (sorry, lovely lady though, doesn't actually live far from me, just over the border in Somerset), arrived and I met them talking to Sara at the greenroom area. I should explain, the venue, Ginglik, is underground, and when you go downstairs through the entrance, the stage is immediately to your left, the bar to your right and the greenroom is right in front of you, with just a curtain block where Sara and her dancers (4 of them) were changing. So we went in and waited for another hour before Sara came on. Btw, her younger sister Maz, the guy who does the backing singing on the album, and Derek who also worked on the album (he's worked with Robbie Williams too), were in the audience. I must say Saras voice is far stronger than you would imagine, her backing vocals with Mika are nothing compared to he on her own. She has a mighty powerful voice, and great range too, and if you've seen the album cover, you know how her makeup looked, and she was wearing a Freak4Speed t dress (yellow). She looked amazing! She sang, Smalltown Boy, Slide, Sly Girls, Bad Day and Freak4Speed (the last 2 are my absolute favourites on the album). After her friend Jo DJed for an hour, and we all went to the bar and chatted 'til closing time. Sara wants me to dress up for her gigs now! I'm gonna start charging for this. LOL! Shes not sure what she wants me to do yet but shes gonna let me know. Apparently she misses the penguin, and doesn't thing I look right without it. I've created a monster!!!
  15. I do see your point. I was thinking that Blue Sky would make a great mod, right place for this time of night, level headed, technically sound.
  16. There aren't any UK mods are there? Freds admin, but no mods.
  17. But I think I see that more because of being here in Aus. Most of the mods are from Europe and the US/Canada and tend to go to sleep when I'm around. And our one Aussie mod is a night owl and is up with all the rest of them, and not here so much in the daytime. Well, my daytime That's why I applied, because I'm up most of the night, when no one else is:naughty:
  18. Why not? We're sensible, rational, well balanced people!
  19. Me too! Believe it or not, before I dressed up as a penguin, I wouldn't have said boo to one!
  20. Sometimes there are a lot of people and NO mods, it's a tricky balance.
  21. As far as I'm aware, me and Daisy. Sariflor is a possibility.
