I keep changing my mind.
But the one that I can't get out of my head and keep finding myself singing at the moment is 'Any Other World'
-
It's neck and neck now, both have 39% each!

It's tricky one Sunny. To be honest the high activity on your site (& it is a brill site -well done!) at the moment is mostly due to Mika's sudden rise to success & high media profile . Whilst you will allways retain some loyal fans, you will probaly find that the activity tails off after the first few months max & then a fee may put people off (have you looked into whether other sites charge a fee?). I would think that advertising is your best bet even though pop-ups are very irritating they do generate much needed funds. Take the enthusaism of those willing to pay a fee at the moment with a pinch of salt - the reality may be different.
Good luck with the future of the website
I have seen sites where the two options are combined - but don't know how easy it is to do technically. So there is advertising and pop ups for those who don't mind and who don't want to pay. But for those who pay a small fee you get to view the site free of ads. Personally I would be happy to pay a small fee. I would rather pay annually than be bothered with monthly.
I think it's a great site and has attracted a very unique and friendly lot of fans. Although the comon bond is obviously Mika, I think that this has the potential to become the type of internet community that I would regularly visit to chat about non-Mika things too.
I read all these lists and I don't know half of the artists mentioned  Maybe I really am on another planet as some of my friends claim :mf_rosetinted:
You've got Barenaked Ladies in your list ... you're definitely on my planet:cheerful_h4h: ... I'm going to see them at Easter in Birmingham! -
That's excellent - thank you.
I just wanted to check I had heard them right

Is there anywhere where all of the lyrics are written down?

:naughty:
He he , yes it is this simple , BBC1 has interactive , press the red button and its on a 30 minute loop , heres a step by step guide :
1) Plug in TV .
2) Turn TV on.
3) Plug In Kettle
4) Make cup of tea (seperate instructions exist)
5) Sit in chair
6) Drink tea
7) Pick up remote control (seperate hand that is holding cup)
8) Press number 1 button for BBC1
9) Press red buttom
10) Watch TV , drink tea
:roftl:
I omitted step 3 and substituted 'pour glass of red wine' for 'make cup of tea' ... works even better

Tickets are definitely still available.
Just ignore those naughty ticket touts on eBay who are incorrectly stating that the May dates are sold out gigs. :rocket:

I'm going to Barfly and Academy
I haven't received my Academy tickets yet ... not too worried at the moment. But will be if I start hearing that everyone else has got theirs!

I think you've got an unhealthy addiction to creme eggs ... though it seems to have afflicted all Mika fans in the North East:wink2:
Can't provide any creme eggs, but will this do?
-
Thanks for the welcome messages.
I've seen a few references to creme eggs and lollipops around. Understand the lollipops, but what's with the creme eggs, have I missed something

Tickets are still available for Birmingham.
For anyone who lives or works close enough to get to the Academy, there is no booking fee if you buy tickets from the Box Office and pay cash.

... I thought I should be polite and come in here and introduce myself.
I’m a thirtysomething living in Northampton, but originally from Birmingham.
I first became aware of Mika in November. I had tickets to see The Feeling in Loughborough and was searching around to try to find out who the support act could be. Most dates were Captain (who I was hoping to see), but some dates were this chap called Mika, who sounded a bit weird to me! Loughborough was the last night of the tour, and so as the gigs came and went reviews were posted on the website, and people who got to see Mika were all singing his praises. Some lucky sods got to see Captain and Mika ... and those that did, said Mika was the better act.
In the end I didn’t get to see Mika or Captain:( . But I did visit Mikasounds to hear what this guy I had heard about was like. Wow!!!!!!!
I then read about this site, through a posting on the Mikasounds site (this forum is much better:thumb_yello: ).
So here I am ...

I've just booked tickets for B'ham - 10 mins ago.
Yeah - now I'm going to see Mika at the Barfly and the Academy
