This is gonna be a long post so stay with me! 

I'm another who hasn't been here for ages but when I heard about Freddie (David) I had to come here (after I actually composed myself) and just remind people of the amazing person he was.. and always will be in our hearts of those that knew him. 

Freddie was MIKA's No.1 fan.. you guys might think you are but nope, that was him 100%.  

This forum wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him setting it up with another guy. It was just an idea and was Freddie who made it a reality!!!! 

My first gig was also my Birthday so Freddie decided we were having a party. Everyone brought drink and food and we got told off so many times by management to turn the MIKA cd down as it was on a constant loop.. . The guy in the next room started to complain but Fred turned him round and he was part of the party in the end. He was just like that. Everyone's friend. 

I will never forget at that show I asked MIKA to write a note for Freddie, as there were complications as to him missing the show. (Back in 2007!)  I actually saw tears in Freddie's eyes, he was so grateful.  His life for years consisted of MIKA and the MFC. 

He made it his life's wish just to make everyone happy and to get as many people to see/meet MIKA as possible. 

We always had a connection both being from the Nort East of England. Even though I'm at the bottom and him at the top,we would meet for lunch and coffee... and boy he could drink some coffee (aswell as beer ?He had hollow legs!) 

Unfortunately, after his initial operation we weren't didnt go out anymore. Either I was poorly or he made an excuse-but it's only just come out how ill he really was, but never told a soul. He kept his outer shell in tact and played the happy, go lucky guy most of you knew. 

When things turned sour with the MFC, I stood by him, after so many didn't. You had to know the real person to know to never believe the rumours and attention seeking kids. He put himself in a vulnerable position being one of only a couple of men on the MFC. Luckily he was always the bigger person and bounced back. 

For the newbies in here you are missing a person who made the MFC a wonderful place. It used to be such a laugh and a way to find information.. as back then MIKA was unknown and we helped put MIKA on the map. Freddie was more involved than any of you will know. 

Freddie ... yes I will always call him that. We discussed using our real names but agreed nah..He was always my Fredddie and I was his Daisylou. 

After MIKA and music his other love was tennis and he was good at it too. 

The world has lost another good person and far too early.

I Hope wherever you are, you are laughing till your face is like a beetroot. You never failed to make me giggle. 

I actually said on Facebook/twitter..He always called me his  'little ray of Sunshine' but My Darling Freddie... nobody shone as bright as you!

The Aldelphi holds 1,500 people so will be a big show in London on October 19th.

I fell asleep after listening to Metro radio for hours so missed that interview... (Was confused as no presenter on the show called Kenny D?)

Fingers crossed he does a show in Newcastle aswell as Scotland. That lady wasn't going to let him out of the studio before he said there would be a show.

I heard this as a tiny clip on iTunes and was kinda sad. It was just a bunch of words that rhyme all strung together.

NOW.... I've heard the whole song and what a difference!!! I now love this song!

The video too being just M. It's look at me... I can sing! I'm not just a tv celebrity who comments on others' singing. He looks vulnerable but I like that. The black and white makes it edgy too. I do miss the 'candy pop' but he like us all, has grown up and moved on. I'm liking the new MIKA vids if this is one of many.

The song to me has the same vibe as 'Kids' but is more of an ear worm as it stays with you.

I'm now inspired to buy the Album where as I was going to buy it as I'm a fan of MIKA and be rude not too.

All I need is a few UK dates and I will be an Extra Happy Bunny this Easter.

Ps. My advice to myself.... is not to listen to the teaser clips anymore haha!

I won't know till I open my eyes tomorrow for definate but looking good to go!!!!!!

I won't be there till late so will meet everyone afterwards.

I have decided to step down as REP for England.

I feel I am not a good role model for Newbies as my threads/posts seem to be the only the controversial ones??? and when trying to help new fans/people get told am a **** stirrer...it doesn't look too good now does it. I am too ill to play at schoolground games. Comments here there and everywhere bout me NOT being ill when frankly I am it may not be obvious but all you have to do is ask.

The pics are superb! There is no need for paps anymore..they should just use MFCers!

Was a shame more MFCers weren't front row tho...as some have never been there yet. I heard some of the flowers MIKA threw were caught further back so all is good in the end.

WOWSER!! How good does everyone look in costumes??..why we stopped doing costumes is beyond me as people look so fab!!!!..Ingie's wig looks like my hair on a daily basis! LOL..she has the excuse of falling down a rabbit hole

I so wish I could have been there I know I have said it 100x already but I had a feeling this was 'THE' show to be at.

Heck, I'm getting way behind here! Didn't get round to commenting on Paris yet and now I'm back from Nice already! Maybe I'll just wait till 2011 and review the whole Imaginarium tour at once...

 

But, well, Paris/Nice:

 

Paris 26th was my birthday and Mr Enigma was with me. He was not inclined to sit on the ground in the blazing sun in a queue for 12 hours as he wanted to take me out for lunch, bless him , so I was about 5th row. The following night I was even later because we were having too much fun in Paris in the sun, so ended up somewhere right in the middle of the venue! It's rare for me to be that far back and it was interesting to get a different perspective, and it was from there that I realised just how well the planets set works. Seen from a long way back, you really need a show as spectacular and visual as that, and it works brilliantly on so many levels. The first night was great, and the second - although there were more mistakes - had an even better atmosphere, everyone was really so up for it. It was, however, incredibly hot in the venue, especially in the middle of the crowd, and people were being carried out all over the place, poor things.

I haven't had time to read all of this thread but as being on the first page I felt the need to post.

I would like to say a huge..THANK YOU! to you for saying exactly what I said last week.

I was thinking we all have so much information when it comes to Mika and what he has drawn for us,signed and documented .. so I thought it would be interesting for the fans to show what he has done , not only for information (how his signature has changed for example) but also to document all this information we have into one interesting and hopefully informative thread..

Was this the signature I got for you??? ...from Leeds when you were 'allegedly' too drunk to get in? ..I wasn't there so don't know, all I do know is, I asked for that after telling the story of there was loads of us but only half got in and it ain't right!!

That was when it was raining like I have never seen rain before,there was only about 10 people at the M+G and he was there for well over half an hour just chatting. Luke and Mikey there then and I got that video for you from Cherisse when you fancied her and had a balloon for her....halcyon days...

Does anyone know these girls? (have forgotten names) they are so sweet and lovely..stood next to me at Hammersmith and live in Paris. So nice to see them again.

I haven't got a problem with Mellody AT ALL!! which is what i said in the post! I used her as the example only because she posted about wanting this and that EXTRA to what MIKA is doing already,which reminded me that a few others have said the same and I felt something needed to be said.

I am saying YOU meaning 'you guys' as I am not going to any of these new shows..I haven't included myself. There was no malice intended and 'being above you' Where have you got that impression from?? You seem to be finding things in my post which are not there..MY DEAR.

There maybe some who think they are heirarchy in the MFC but I definately am not one of them and I feel you are just baiting me so I will argue..well unfortunately I won't. I have as much right as anyone to write on these boards.

about bugsy malone, maybe it's the song for the BB intro? it was on the milan setlist as well, but no one of those who reported on the thread noticed it, so obviously it's nothing he sang. wonder why it's not in brackets then though. or maybe he wanted to sing it but didn't? or it's a placeholder for, let's say, kick ass, and he only will play it when he feels like it...

Reading the MFC you all sound so ungrateful ...Poor M changes the sets, stage backgrounds and everything (as the MFC wanted!!!)..but still you want more????.

There might be a reason he can't do the songs you.. Karin... want to hear??. As things have changed so much in diff. countries M is maybe saving Kick Ass for Asia Tour or can't sing it alone as he is under contract with RED ONE? Yes, it's all assumption who knows. You guys should be pleased you can make it to any of the shows and if you see more than one show be grateful you have this chance and enjoy it for what it is ..not be wanting the set list (or ANYTHING) to change.

Enjoy what MIKA wants!!..afterall if HE wanted to sing something different...HE WOULD!!

Goes to show all the people wanting to fight (literally) in some countries to get front row and actually you see so much more from further away. Thanks sooo much for those vids. Yes, you see more of MIKA at the front but as he's on screens too you still get the close ups.

You see the show as a whole and what he is trying to portray, rather than just being transfixed on MIKA singing and it does happen

Hopefully some people might register this ...before pushing, shoving and peeling fingers off the barrier. Actually take a different vantage point for a change..especially if you are going to more than one of the shows.

yeah he has certain songs on a loop as Paloma Faith was played a couple of times at Hammersmith before MIKA came on...there wasn't anything that sounded like M to me tbh.
