  1. Lovely new song:

    Wouter Hamel‏@hamelmusic

Took me 7 minutes to get my contacts to stick. Eyes all bloodshot, running late. Bright side: we have a new single

    G.I.R.L.S.I.N.T.H.E.C.I.T.Y.

    Oh Mr. Silky voice.. :wub2:

    Love the song so much!

    It's beautiful, isn't it?! :wub2:

Ordered the EP - but haven't gotton it yet...

  2. Hamel performs in Seoul Jazz Festival , on the same day with Mika!

seeing Hamel and Mika in a day in a festival is the last option I imagined ... :wub2: how amazing is that...

    :wub2::wub2::wub2:

    Enjoy!!! :wink2:

  3. Yay!!! We have got a new Eurovision thread!!! My favourite thread of the year :wub2:

From the participants in the national final I loved the song of Ben Ivory:

    _9ZMLsw8HUQ

But his performance wasn't that convincing.

Ben Ivory :wub2: I so wanted him to make it through to the show...

(Lordi (2006) was the only exception...:wink2:)

Lordi!! Those were the days!! :)

Haven't made up my mind who I would like to win this year. I guess I will wait until all the songs have been chosen. :wink2:

  4. Thank you guys :huglove:

    Here is the vid :

Please, don't make fun of me :teehee:

I'll explain everything later and translate what he said, I have to go to work

To be quick, he wanted a lady next to me to come and sing with him because she wasn(t singing at all during the gig, and she didn't want ! Then he looked at me with his cute face and I said "Well, I can do it" and he grabbed me by the hand and it was on ! :aah:

First, we can't see on the vid, but he made me doing strange noise like he knows how to do it and some "la la la la la", and looked at the audience with a "that's bad" face !! :naughty::aah: And then he put the microphone well so I could sing the "doom...." during he was on the piano. Each time that I stopped, he pretend to moan and said "Sing !" so I keep going on ! That was so funny...

Well, that was realluy unbelievable... :wub2: Thought I was dreaming when I woke up this morning...

:mikalove: I only just saw this. Wow, what an incredible experience! I am so happy for you. The video is so cute!

I agree with what everybody's saying: Mika is golden! He really is!

  5. I L-O-V-E it! :wub2:

To me this is one of his best videos to date. I'm not a fan of the "Celebrate" video for example - But I am absolutely in love with this one. It is so beautiful and yet simple - True arts!

Loved reading everyone's interpretations and feelings.

  6. Thank you everyone for reports etc.! Sounds like a very special show! :)

I haven't been at a Mika gig an a while and I was surprised he talked so much. so much nonsense I mean. He was really funny! especially when he made fun of the fish. he said fishes look so stupid and then afterwards when he couldn't find the French word for "depressing" he said "I am the fish" and made a funny face :teehee:

Ahhh, so you went to this gig after all. Goooood!

Isn't it amazing how much he's talking lately? Looooove it!!

  7. Hi Marion! It was lovely meeting you before the first gig! The second day we were told to come at 7 so when I arrived you guys were ready to enter the venue so I missed you. Hope to see you (and all the other lovely MFC-ers I met in Paris) very soon.

The song you mentioned is Heigh Ho from Snow White but in French.

Trying to organize my thoughts and start writing my report, those two days were super special:wub2::wub2:

I bet it takes time to leave this little Mika cloud you've been floating on. :)

Thank you. I really didn't recognize this song.

    Celebrate

    band intro

Edit: It was also lovely to meet Mousetrap and Doremi. Nice to meet you, girls!

  8. I'm still not over how amazing the second Paris gig was...:jawdrop: Without any doubt this must have been one of the best Mika gigs I have ever done. :wub2:

Nina, Fran & moi had a great spot second row center so we were really in the middle of it all. The atmosphere had reached a fever pitch so early in the show and Mika seemed to be really into the gig as well. I have hardly seen him so happy and spontaneus at gigs. He instantly reacted to everything happening around him. A LOT of chatting, whistling :aah:, involving the band (e.g. Max dancing on the piano :naughty:) & the choir (at one point he was actually standing amongst the ploka dot choir members), pulling up fans from far away countries up stage (How sweet is that?! :wub2:), singing a French song everyone was singing along (What was it btw? Didn't know it.), doing crazy dance moves, sitting at the front of the stage, etc. The show was just so full of energy. Seriously, Mika is just getting better and better. If this is possible at all. And the band is totally diving into the little Mika world more and more - which is a good thing. :thumb_yello:

The new intro of "Un soleil mal luné" was very impressive. I just love this song. Definitely one of my favourites from the third album. Doriand was smiling so much during EMD and Karen when he was singing these songs on stage with Mika. People were going crazy. "Heroes" was of course another highlight. It sounds great live. Paris loves Mika. Mika loves Paris. And this was definitely not my last Mika Paris gig. :wub2:

It was fun chatting with everyone in the queue and after the show. It's always such a very important part of the whole Mika experience. :thumb_yello:

A beautiful review of the show (by chartsinfrance)
