Haha, no I just meant that I don't know whether I'll still be in the country then.
teh album has leaked 23d, and I was wondering why he was singing all teh new songs on 25th (since he only did vulture, damaris, theseus and couple of others before )
oh, and in teh end he did a little "f-teh industry" speech and said smth like - whatever, download it away
(and again - I didnt know about the leakage yet and was wondering what the whole speech meant...)
so PLEASE PLEASE - give smth to bandstocks!!!
-
and I ve fallen in love with "bluebells" after Koko - I always thought twas a beautiful song, but only there I could actually "feel" it...maybe twas the lighting and the whole visual, and the sound buildup towards the end that did it for me, dunno...
-
And now guess who just ordered tickets for Cologne in August . No idea if I'll be able to go but... OH MY FU CKING GOODNESS!!! PATRICK WOLF!!!!!!!!!! *faints again*
you absolutely must!!!!
with all teh new "electronic" album one suggests it might sound rather "diluted" onstage - but I think it sounds even more grand live- dunno how to xplain....better go and listen

The new PW dates are rumoured to be - St Petersburgh and Moscow on 24th - 25th of April. The "Avant" festival site doesnt put him onto "confirmed" yet, but theres an announcement in the "news" section....
And he has already played in Moscow in 2004 (I wasnt even living in Russia yet, so thats kinda my excuse )
It was a cafe in the movie theatre ....
some pics stolen from LJ -http://www.liveinternet.ru/community/_patrick_wolf_/post68798619/
and some - from random reviews...

Ive read somewhere later on he was dragged away by police ...cruel ppl!
anyways - even it is just a spoof (as it looks to me) - still a nice one..livens up a "typical" xmas whatever...

I knew I recognised Owen Pallett from somewhere but couldn't recall. Thanks.
btw - there were some mash-ups of final fantasy vs relax, if Im not mistaken, so maybe youve seen it on some youtube related links...
-
- quite a melancholic take
one of my most fav Israeli singers
(P.S. hes gay, so that does make sence...and he did "The man I love" cover as well...)
-
btw- double yum - PW and Owen

I was planning to go but now I can't . I really really want to see him live! It's a shame he didnt do a show last year in London; when he DJed in Soho, I went to see the Holloways and when he performed at the Barbican, I had a Christmas party from work .
Hence I agree with EnFa .
actually the news said smth like "PW is playing March dates before having a proper tour in May"....
and I am not sure I'd manage to get ticks for the Koko one, and dont think Id have time in May...
-
coz he was sick/jumping/tired blabla I said to myself...now I don't wanna judge from a tiny bit heard on utube, but I admit you've got a point..the way M sang bothered me a lil too...a bit focused on tecnique ? ok he's not a soul singer but...there was something I appreciate more in the GK 2007 time
so (non)singer-songwriter? honestly, I tend to think that this is what he can do best - to write catchy "simple" but genious pop songs - however, the problem is, that he is longing for recognition as a pop mega-star and loves being onstage, so dunno...
actually, since this is PW thread, his voice sometimes seems to be not quite in place as well - esp in grand-sounding pieces - like weather (my alltime fav) or overture...
btw - twould be great to have Patrick and his violin adding some drama to the pop-rain:naughty:
P.S. and theres a theremin poster on the wall in LA studios

I hope she managed to handle eating with knife and fork....

KK have you watched the blog yet?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyvk_H3PP7E&feature=channel_page
This is what we are all preoccupied about.
whispers : I absolutely loooove the new whine-free rain! however, imho, twill sound another 30 percent better with some diferent lead vocals...= not M's.....
He is a wonderful composer, and the new arrangement is genious (thumbs up both M and Greg)...but, I dont know why, I keep liking the vocal parts less and less....
-
As for bodily functions threads and the likes - thats what apples are for!
however - when it becomes waaay too many threads of that kind - in the absence of real news- everyone becomes fed up - and maybe it is indeed better to concentrate on smth else and retreat, but it is always great to stop by to see ppl, many of which became much more than random chatroom acquaintances....

Why isn't Mika playing this benefit concert?
-
Ha! I think we are all concentrating on Mika at the moment kk.
but there wont be anything till autumn, right?
and I always wanted to see P live in some small-ish venue...Koko sounds great!
-

-
I cant believe twas almost a year ago!!!
Need a new album! asap! Mika! PW! quick!
