Like, little kids don't see anything sexual about Mika. There's a saying that to the pure all things are pure (meaning, even dirty-things) and to the dirty-minded, all things are dirty.
I remember that as a kid, I would sing at the top of my lungs the song "Love Machine" and the thought of it having to do with sex never crossed my mind. It did explain why adults would give me very strange or disgusted, or worried looks... at the 7-9 year old girl who's belting "Love Machine."
Can't honestly say that I'd sing it with the same... purity of mind, now!

I honestly think, compared to other performer's, that Mika--at least when he started--seemed pretty innocent, even asexual. (Sorry, Mika!)
But now, it's a bit more... sexual-ized. But while Mika may be seen as naughty, he isn't... gross about it.
Honestly, in Grace Kelly, I didn't see anything sexual. I did remember, because my cousin told me, about the swords being phallic symbols, but it didn't seem to be done on purpose. Even my brother was like, "It looks like he wants to show that he's having fun, nothing more."

For someone who is wearing bright green jeans, white braces and is singing about plump ladies, Mika certainly draws more cheers than one might expect. Maybe it's because he's opened with soon-to-be-smash 'Big Girls (You Are Beautiful)'. Or maybe it's because he's enlisted the help of that corseted lady from his video and a host of super furry animals to jump around the stage with him. Or maybe it's because he's ruddy good and the closest thing we've had to a real pop star all day. We'll let you decide on that one.

It *is* her! Awww, Allegra and Mika dueting is so sweet... He's so affectionate and brotherly to her, they have the big brother, little sister thing going on. And she's so pretty and sweet and obviously has great affection for her brother.
She's seems a bit shy, she's so cute! -

She's really tall, though. I think her voice sounding "young" gives it away to me. I can't realy tell from her haircut--a bit too blurry for me to discern and I'm not sure how Paloma's haircut is really, to compare. Her dress does seem more "Allegra."

Apparently, he also said after 2 or 3 songs that he couldn't believe that 6 months ago he was in Taratata, and that this was his 3rd concert in France... And that it couldn't be better... And started to cry :tears:

Hey ! yes, I feel a bit uneasy to write on a fan site like this but I was simply too curious, I went absolutely mad over MIKA's songs, I think each and every one of them is simply great ... I am ashamed to say that I only really discovered him now though of course I have heard his songs ever since they came out and were played on the radio ... He is so full of talent, I think HE should have been the one to have played the role of the young and crazy Mozart in Forman's AMADEUS. To think that this musical genius can't read a note of music ! How does he manage to write and perform such fantastic music ? Such talent ... I can't wait for his second album to come out, I just hope he is not going to get too overworked, I hear he is touring an awful lot now but wait till November MIKA to stop touring, then we in Brussels still get the chance to see you ... hihihi !

Good point. I am sure I never tried to contact him before at "Mica Penniman," in fact, I don't believe I've ever seen that profile.
So, maybe the reason why some people can't see it is it's just a bug in the system?
