  1. i think it is time we come up with a language that refers to mika that noone knows but the MFC. give some ideas dont make the words too complicated.something to do with mika would be good!like chubby bunny, pointleesly delicious, gorilla suit, etc.the best ones i will add to the list.we also need a name for our language.just give some random ideas!this should be fun!:biggrin2:

    words:

#1 zap! zap!our way of saying woot woot!(mika has said it before)

I didn't know zap! zap! = woot woot. Where/when did Mika say that? Could you give me the link, please?

"Toy, toy, toy" instead of "good luck."

  2. This's "news" I got to my e-mail...

MIKA: 'STOP COMPARING ME TO QUEEN'

Pop sensation MIKA hopes critics will stop comparing him to British music legends QUEEN - because he doesn't want to be associated with FREDDIE MERCURY's dress sense.

The GRACE KELLY star, who yesterday (26MAR07) dubbed SCISSOR SISTERS "mediocre", admits he finds it tough when the press liken his music to that released by the group's late flamboyant frontman.

He tells the New York Daily News, "I get tired of talking about it."

"I would be willing to more if that's where I was coming from. Just so long as they don't compare our dress sense."

    Thank you for posting! :biggrin2:

The quotes don't sound quite like Mika to me. I think they've paraphrased it or cut and pasted different quotes and mashed them together.

  3. I know what you mean! I need a week to say all that I would like to, to him! He means SO much! Hey- a song is a great idea! I am a poet, and have written a few songs as well. I need inspiration to write.... and well, let's just say MIKA gives me plenty of inspiration!!!!! I am gonna work on one!!!! GREAT IDEA! THANKS! LOL :thumb_yello:

Cool. I'm glad I gave you the idea... and that you gave me credit. :-)

I write poems, too! How does the idea of co-writing it with me? If so, please PM, me.

I *would* like credit for that, tho. ;-)

  4. I know! Sometimes I WISH that could just try and express to him JUST what he means and has done for my life....but then again... I know that is I ever got to meet him- I would be totally speechless. I might even forget my name! LOL :wub2:

I wish I could, too. I think it's not something that can be expressed in words alone. Maybe a song would be better, but even so, you'd have to be a really talented singer/songwriter.

I'd have to really think about what to tell him when I meet him, but it'd be so quick, 10 sec -5 min that it would be too short to tell him all I'd want to, to get the point across. :wub2:

  5. and its the first song i EVER learned to play!!! hehe

i started learning the guitar like 2 months ago.... total days i practiced i think was like maybe 3 weeks... LOL

and i just tried Billy brown and did it!!! im proud that my first song was MIKA... lol

    :wink2:

u guys proud of me!!?? :biggrin2::bleh:

    Sweet! :biggrin2:

When I played the piano, it took me some time to learn a song. Actually, I think 3 weeks is a bit quick to learn a song. :thumb_yello:

Of course I'm proud of you! And that your first song was one of Mika's! :huglove:

  6. I didn't take any pics, but I felt the same way everytime I saw his name on the channel information....like I couldn't believe it! i felt like a nerd too, but couldn't help it.. :wub2: :wub2: :roftl:

I didn't see him name on the channel information. :tears: I wish I had recorded the commercial/advert that said he was the guest, tho. I missed it. Oh, well, I'll just have to be content and do all that other stuff in the future. :biggrin2:

  7. yes he is very immature!but in an awesome way!being 12 i think im more mature than him!lol!i would never spend my money on a tomogatchi!$15!that is an outrageous price!(yes i am very cheap!Lol!if its free its for me!)

Well, Mika has a thing for toys. I think he's spent over $300 on a single toy. He collects them and he's said that's he's running out of space for them. :biggrin2:

  8. Hello,

I am a newbie to mikafanclub.com, and am very excited to have found it. :D I learned of Mika about a month ago and he is now one of my personal favorites. His music is an inspiration to me---each time I listen to it I have to rush to the piano and play for a few hours. ;)

A bit about myself: I'm a Christian, an artist and musician, the oldest of 11 children, and an avid reader. It is nice to meet you all!

    Have a fabulous day,

    ~Bessie

Hello Bessie and welcome to the MFC! :biggrin2::huglove:

I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. I'm glad to hear Mika is now one of your favorites.

So, you play the piano. That's great! :biggrin2:

It's nice to meet you, too!

Have a great day and weekend,

  9. ok ppl, im not sure where on the forum this should go, so i'll put it here.

i found this pic of mika and the band on michael choi's (bassist) myspace page.

    Thank you for posting! :biggrin2:

I love it! I have never seen it before. Being a fan of purple, I am even more fond of it than I would be otherwise.

  10. A combination of both? :bleh:

No, I was really surprised how souped the audience was. I thought they'd be kinda snotty like "Who is this kid??"

    Yes and yes.

Perhaps the alcohol had something to do with it? Along with Mika's outstanding talent and charisma, of course? The tight pants?

Either way, I'm still happy for him getting all that accolade. :biggrin2:

  11. Hey everyone! I recently acquired 5 of these nifty bookmarks that were once available from Barnes and Noble. I had never seen this photo before, and thought it was really nice. Sorry the scan is a bit grainy. The bookmark is actually pretty small, but the scan turned out huge for some reason.

What's really cool is that Danika took a photo of some of the early sketches at the Blink Gallery exhibit. (Thanks again Danika!)

Just in case anyone wants the image without the text, I did a little cropping and painting for you. They make the cutest friends, don't they?

    bookmark_img.jpg

Thank you SOOO much for posting this, DaMango! :biggrin2::wub2:

Woe! The only time I choose not to go to Barnes and Nobles does it bite me in the butt.

But, thanks to you I can print them out! :thumb_yello:

  12. I first saw him perform on that Jools Holland show and thought he was 24-5, maybe that's cause he was wearing a nice dress shirt.

I think he acts his age though, as far as his work ethic and knowing how to handle himself in certain situations.

I think it was the nice dress shirt.

My mom always says that he looks younger, like 18/19.

In one pic, he looked 16 to me. Then in another interview, they did a close up and I thought he looked 27. :roftl:

  13. yes tame!he should've had his lion costume on and luke could be the lion trainer!that is how tame he was!lol!:biggrin2:

LOL. I've grown used to his... wilder performances.

If he really wants to break into the US audiences, I think it's best to hold off the animal costumes.

But, I think a bit more energetic and wild performances would be more welcome.
