You know, ultimately, in a world where everyone shops around for the cheapest possible way to scrounge the thing they want, the store with the highest priced item wins out. They get the sale. Because I read the terms and conditions and I always assumed you could play the system if you wanted and go back and forth but the way they have it set up you can't do that (you have to buy it and then provide the evidence and THEN you get 110% of the difference back). So then, you'll always go to the store with the highest price because you can show them the lower price and end up getting the lowest price. And stupid people who don't shop around will walk in there and just buy it at the expensive price and it's really a win-win situation to have things priced highly. Although there is probably an in-between of people who are stingy enough to look at a few different stores for the cheapest price, but not stingy enough to bother taking the expensive store up on their lowest price offer. Or perhaps they have some kind of morals that incline them to buy from the cheapest store. Why the crap am I crapping on about something so pointless? I'm going to bed. And tomorrow I am sooo buying a hard drive from Harvey Norman. But I might stinge around a few more stores to see if I can find a cheaper one that JB hifi or a more expensive one with a 110% difference back offer than Harvey Norman

Am going to get the kids ready for bed and then it is back to my new addiction- in the past 9 days I have read 3 and half books from the Twilight series and want to get to the end of Breaking Dawn- but know I will be devastated when i do, unless I go back and read them all again. Yes, I know I am very slow to jump on the Edward and Bella bandwagon.....

Am sorry to hear about Teegs being transferred to Syd but as others have said hopefully the level care is more appropriate to what she needs.

Glad to hear the reactions in regards to the new album have been positive and that he is actually doing something other than just look at public art still wish we had news about a show though....

I got a phone call from Zoe today, and she says she will update when she gets a chance. She's exhausted herself at the moment. So this is a quick update until she is able to get on herself

 

But I'd thought I might share that Tegan has been/is being moved to a normal ward, and that she is doing better than to be expected for the situation, but that essentially she will be in there for a while, and that it's going to be a long recovery process.

 

She's able to speak, though its slurred because of the drugs, and she is able to swallow, so won't need to have a tube to her stomach to feed her, and there are still tests they need to run, such as for her vision, and a risk of more strokes. As mentioned her right side is paralysed, and her left side was also affected, although she is able to use it. This is because she had strokes, not just one stroke, with the first occuring a few weeks ago with the start of the headaches

 

She told me about telling Teegs about mika's tweet, and how it brightened her day.

 

Basically, there is bad news but there is also good news. This will not be an easy thing for Teegs, so sending our love in whatever form we can will be a big help.

Bianca- just hope he goes to Melbourne (sorry Sydneysiders!!) as flights from Perth to Mel are generally a lot cheaper- esp with tiger airlines

I think I would be disowned if I flew anywhere else at the moment- having said that I am going to Darwin on Wednesday so maybe he will turn up there?? Yeah right!!

Happi, she is indeed keeping me busy!

 

Guess what?...... I sewed last night!!! On my sewing machine!!! I had to spend a good hour completely stuffing everything up first and calling my mother for advice (twice) but I did it!!!

After I'd had to reload the bobbin case too many times to count (including one time where I had to chase it around the inside of the bottom of the machine cos I dropped it and it ran away), snapping my thread twice, continuing to forget to put the foot down and thereby snagging everything, actually having the machine jam with fabric one time and having to remove everything (including needle and foot and plate under the foot) and then reassembling it all again, I was starting to feel quite comfortable with the machine. I still sewed really crookedly and when I tried to reverse over something to strengthen the end of a seam it all tangled, but I felt really pleased with myself, cos I had to work it out, instead of in lessons where my teacher told me what to do and I never really took it in.

I did see it! (I had kept the page open on my laptop!)

Am sitting in a store at the moment waiting for my CEO to come back over, so I won't stay but just wanted to reply back to everyone. xx

I've been swinging between happy, angry and tears cause of the MFCers who went to the Christmas party got champagne from Mika... the petition book is on it's way (okay, I haven't touched it for two months, but I've been busy with TAFE!)... ummmmmmm... Bec's sucking too hard... on her lollipop... ummmmmmmmm.... Pammy (zoidy), chickadee and I have been talking about DAAS, Paul McDermott and Tim Ferguson... OkD didn't recognise a vid of U2... we had a very interesting discussion on sexuality (actually, had a few of those)...

All is going well, just really struggling to find spare time to jump on here. Even now I should be sleeping, or doing a report.... I woke up last night at 130am and went and got my laptop and sat in bed sending emails that I knew I wouldn't have time to do today. How dumb.....

My parcel from Aga finally turned up- I think she mailed it about 3 months ago! It was fantastic- I will try and post some pics later, but my kids have already attacked it so it is not complete anymore! It will take a while to chew through all the goodies......
