bahahah i love the part where he sticks the heart on the camera :P

Yup! He's great! Did you see the pictures on previous pages captured from the vid by some people? They are cute!

Mika has a thing for biting...

  2. Sorry! :sorry: I figured she probably posted it, but I didn't find it even though I check the forums all the time.

Thank you for letting me know. :-D

Well, at least I brought it back, I suppose! :-) She had only a few comments about it. :-(

No worries. I'm glad you brought it back up. It's a great vid, isn't it? He's just so cute!!

Below is the original thread. Really nice captured pics there. Enjoy♪

  3. Goodness! Why must he bite everything in Japan??!!!

Beceause he loves everything about Japan so much that he can't contain himself!! He's revisiting Japan at the end of the month. Perhaps more biting. :biggrin2: Actually, we'd love some hugging and kissing MIKA...:blush-anim-cl:

  4. There he is, posing for my avatar! :roftl: Isn't that great to have on vid, thanks for letting everyone know!

I think there were too many suits watching that secret live show in ShangriLa in Osaka...they were a bit boring eh, no matter how silly Mika got!!:naughty:

Exactly! If only they had called us.... I would've been there at ALL COST! It would have been SO MUCH FUN! Huh...

  5. ALL MIKA FANS' MUST SEE VID!!! A Japanese music program followed Mika around for one day in Osaka, Japan.

The clip shows him singing at a showcase, playing with toys, recording a radio show, among other things. ("picking his nose," says MIKA himself.)

He's adorable!!!! The man is just adorable!! (If I may repeat myself)

Most of it is in English with Japanese subtitles.

    Enjoy♪

  6. Ah, poor Mika. With his exhausting schedule, it was inevitable something like this would happen. :-(

Like everyone else, I just he gets some much needed rest and enjoy some quiet time to himself.

(Blue Sky- Thanks for letting us know about this.)

  7. MIKA SUPPORT GROUP... Sady Liquid room is SOLD OUT... I dream to go.. If anyone knows of secret ticket place or someone who can't go!... this would make me happy happy happy

    s

I think it's completely sold out my friend. I know how you feel... :-(

We can join in spirit though and hope Blue Sky will convey to Mika how much he's loved here in Japan and we'd be happy to see him VERY OFTEN.

We can take him on a tour of neat toy places and have him induldge on an expensive shopping spree♪

  8. I thought that sounded weird! But then I thought, "Oh, I'm just a first year Japanese student, I don't know anything..." *LOL*

OK、there's been some talks about "Shiro Gohan" on the Japanese Mika fan page and some people from Kyoto and Osaka have said they say "Shiro Gohan" too. (Why SHIRO and not SHIROI? This is a mystery for me.) Did Marty learn Japanese in Western Japan?

Well, anyway, from now on, you can count on Mika saying "Shiro Gohan Kudasai" with a huge smile at every restaurant he goes to in Japan. That is kind of cute!:biggrin2:

  9. My theory on Japanese pronunciation is that if you have a good ear for sounds, which we know MIKA definitely does, you can easily mimic the accent. And I think if you really listen and try to mimic, and don't mind sounding different from your normal self, then you too can be successful, especially with Japanese because the sounds don't really change. ( eg. In English "a" is like a in "apple", "able" "park" etc etc, in Japanese a is always like the a in "above")

When I speak on the phone people think I am Japanese. Obviously when they see me, they expect me to speak none. So either way, people are always surprised. But when I went to Taiwan, and imitated the way I heard people saying thankyou, suddenly shopkeepers thought I could speak Chinese! Not!!

So I think Mika really listens, that is why his pronunciation is so good. You too can speak Japanese well if you listen carefully!

The one weird thing is, why did Marty Friedman say しろご飯下さい??Doesn't he live here??? Just Gohan kudasai is normal...noone here would specify the colour of it. Maybe it's because Marty eats Genmai?? (Brown rice)

Yeah, obviously Mika has a good ear for sounds. I wasn't at all surprised to hear him mimic Marty's "Shiro Gohan Kudasai" so well! (In my opinion, it was better than Marty's. Sorry Marty!)

But yeah what's with the "Shiro gohan"? It was just so funny when he said it. I showed the vid today to my students learning English (well, used Eigode Shaberanaito as a tool for teaching English, you know.:naughty: Now everyone knows about Mika in my class♪), and they were all laughing when they heard "Shiro gohan." But maybe like you said Marty eats Genmai!:bleh:

  10. "Watashi no senmon wa hikaku bungaku desu." As well as the usual "Watashi no namae wa ___desu, yoroshiku onegai shimasu"...

Mika ga totemo suki desu. Kakkoi desu ne.

    --Jack

Really? Me, too! I was a comp lit major with an emphasis on Japanese lit. :wink2:

Watashimo Mika ga DAISUKI!!! Jack Violet-san, Yoroshiku-ne♪

  11. After 3 years of studying Japanese, all I can remember are random politenesses!

(Supposedly both my accent and my handwriting were very good though!)

    --Jack

Random politeness - yeah, that's definitely a big part of the language/culture. But you should be proud of yourself if your accent was good. Like I said, it's not easy for foreigners to master the accent. :thumb_yello: And handwriting - I admire people who write Japanese neatly. I'm Japanese but my handwriting is aweful! : (

  12. Now Mandarin, that's the hard one! I studied it in high school, and I don't blame Mika for forgetting so much. If you pronounce a word with the wrong tone, you say a completely different word, which can lead to some rather embarrassing moments. :bleh:

Yeah, I tried Mandarin for a while but gave up! The tones are just so confusing....

  13. And for a moment there I felt special *sigh* Thanks a lot JV :bleh: LOL

Well, JK, it's true Japanese doesn't have much of an accent, and the vowel sounds are simple, but it's difficult for English speakers to speak it naturally precisely because it doesn't have an accent. : )

When Mika spoke Japanese, it was quite flat and natural, maybe more so than Marty.

Also, there are certain sounds that don't exist in other languages.

Anyway, Sou, "Please teach me Japanese." is, "Nihongo-wo Oshiete Kudasai. Nihongo=Japanese Oshiete=teach Kudasai=please :thumb_yello:

  14. marty from megadeth? clever man . he knew where to go for living.

and for mika, i'm not surprize he could pronunciate injapanesse. try some lebanesse, wich i guess is arabian language. verry clever our man.

Hmm... My Iranian friends speak Japanese really well with great pronunciation, too. Is it easier for people who speak Arabic languages to learn Japanese??
