  1. thats weird...it IS the video from LA right?!?!

That's it! I thought it was strange when I was watching it. I was like, "Wow, the quality is as good as the one from LA. The performance looks exactly the same from the LA one, too." Before watching the video, in excitement of watching Mika's "Chicago" performance, left a comment saying in a rush "have you seen the one from LA?" Wonder if she/he has posted a response.

Ok, I just checked now but she hasn't posted a response, just ignored my comment.

  2. You know, I didn't meet him last time he was in Japan, I waved the MFC banner, I went to the after party and everything, so no one can guarantee it, but I will definitely do my best to make it work out this time!! (even though I said I would never get my hopes up again! LOL!...It's official, I have my hopes up!!):biggrin2:

Have my fingers crossed for you. Go Blue Sky!!:thumb_yello:

  3. Thank you for posting! This is one the funniest interviews I have seen! :naughty: Mika is so delicious! :wub2:

I know! He's just so delicious! You can see he's really enjoying himself during this interview.:woot_jump: I love his music but also LOVE LOVE his interviews!!

  4. I wasn't actually, but if you want to send me anything to deliver to him, I'd be happy to!:biggrin2:

Really? I know they're planning to give Mika gifts(Yukata and Toys?) at the Mixi Community but I might look for something myself if I have a chance. Kouchi is where the writer of ANPANMAN is from and there are LOTS of ANPANMAN stuff all over the place.(It's kind of strange really and I was really surprised when I first moved here. There's a train called ANPANMAN-GOU and a museum dedicated to it etc.) I may be able to find something related to ANPANMAN that's not found in other places,:biggrin2:

    Thanks for the offer.:wink2:

  5. I think this is the one-

Wow, that was really sad, especially when the ghost of the old lady disappears after playing with the old man on the piano.

"Say good bye to the world you thought you lived in."

I think it's true that there are moments in life when you suddenly realize that the world you thought you lived in wasn't exactly as you thought it was - when something you believed in is proven to be false, or someone you loved is no longer around...

It's a sad song but is absolutely beautiful.... Love the strings.

  6. I actually think it is permanently dead, and he just wears it for decoration...as a conversation piece...!:biggrin2:

Oh, I see. I thought him playing with TOCHIAZUMA(the sumo wrestler figure) was kind of cute. He really digs small, artsy things. Planning to give him more of these cute things at Liquid to hang from his neck? :naughty:

  7. And, I don't think his ears aren't that big! hehe :roftl:

I didn't think they were that big either. But, seeing him holding his hair up to show his ears, I kind of wondered what he'd look like if he had short hair. Hmm... I think I'd prefer his hair just the way it is now.:blush-anim-cl:

  8. I haven't decided about Fuji Rock...but we won the chusen for accommodation in my husband's company apartment in Naeba...so that part would be fine...hundreds of people applied for 3 apartments, so it would be sad to turn it down....

I haven't bought a ticket yet because the logisitics of getting there and getting back in time for Liquid room, plus managing my 3 kids on summer holidays while their mother is away being a groupie for 2 days...plus we leave for Australia the day after Liquid Room...it is a bit overwhelming. Mika has people to run him and the band and the equipment to the hotels and the shows, but I have only me!

Wow, you've got a tight schedule there. Well, whether you decide to go or not, you'll still be a part of the small unique world he creates at the Liquid Room and that alone would be a FABULOUS experience!:thumb_yello:

    楽しんでね!:punk:

  9. Blue Sky

This was the only one I was able to watch so wanted to share it with everyone. :) Glad you liked it!

You're going to Fuji Rock? Wow... That's really expensive and...well, they say it's not very hygienic there. lol But Mika will make everything worth the while I'm sure!:)

  10. Is it jsut me guys, or does he sound terribly sad lately? He's too over worked and thus, has no time to relax or truly enjoy himself. He even said that he was trying to catch up on his sleep. I mean, it was his DAY OFF and he's doing a telephone interview. :protest: Mika, get some rest!!

I do believe he's been overworked with his crazy schedule. He loves toys and wanted to buy them in Japan, but didn't have time to even go to 1 shop in Japan. Come on!! What are the people arranging his schedule thinking?

I liked this interview quite a lot because it sounded really candid. He talks a lot about what making music means to him, what being a star entails, and how he feels about it. Maybe he sounds a bit sad/tired because that's how he's honestly feeling now.

  11. I love Mika's interviews. First I heard GK and fell in love with him, then saw him singing and thought he was to kill for, and then the interviews - he's a wonderful speaker with a great personality!

His accent changes quite a bit even during a single interview. I remember he said that he confuses people with his accent and tries to stable it. In the past few years, I've been working with people from all over the world and with various accents. I find it sneaks into my speach, giving me a very strange British sound from time to time...

  12. :shocked::roftl: :roftl:

It's hard to imagine how someone who is so articulate and fluent in multiple languages could have trouble reading and writing.

I was thinking the same thing. When acquiring a language, and becoming articulate in it, reading is usually seen as an intergral part of it. Teachers always suggest students to read books and write journals/essays, if they want to become strong at the language.

Mika manages to amaze me over and over as I learn more about him. (whereas many celebs seem to do the opposite...)
