I haven't read all the pages and have just listened to the song on YT.

 

Obviously the original on CD and the live version are far better than this, but I can see the point.

The song is about bullying and can apply to the masses of teens who listen to this singer in the US. So the equation is simple...more audience among US teens, the ones who follow Disney Channel made up stars and 80% of whom feel bullied at school.

 

Probably a dance video will follow in the standard way they do such things, and that we will not like of course.

I know Mika is not a teen anymore, but he's singing about teens' problems here, so maybe the choice is relevant.

The song has been tamed consequently.

It was a nice show and great that Mika remained on stage all the time!

The only thing that I don't feel so good about is that afterwards, when Mika came outside, there were people who were really pushy ... while others (like me, and also a girl who was standing even behind me) were nicely waiting for their chances to get a signature or to give him a present but simply didn't get the chance because we didn't push

Yeah you're right about that. Patricia was getting everyone in line which worked great at first. But there were (ofcourse like always) people getting to stand in front of others.

I feel sorry for you net getting the chance to give your present to Mika!

part three

The getting home-part:

Javah and two other girls (sorry didn't get your names) and later Patricia and I walked to the busstop and went to the trainstation together.

Patricia and I took the same train and had a really lovely travel together.

Unfortenatly my train didn't stop at the station that I expected so went too far eastbound:doh: Quickly got of the rain and took another one right back.

Hubby picked me up:wub2:

part two

Mika cooked a Christmas dinner together with Paul. At one point Mika ran on stage with a raw chicken in his hands, wich he eventually displayed on the piano!

The also made gamba's and something else but I forgot.

Paul wanted Mika to reanact the videoclip of Last Christmas. "Do you like that song,Mika?" Paul asked. Mika answered that that was his most hated Christmas song!

Four guys in a wooden cabin having Christmas dinner. Mika and Paul supposed to have broken up and having both a new lover.

Paul wanting to have attention by Mika but not getting any! Hilarious!

Paul saying to Mika: "Mika, can I talk to you in the kitchen!" Having a big argument there, resulting in a whipped cream/advocate fight! Mika's (and Paul's too) hair, ear, clothes were covered in whipped cream:shocked:

After the show we (ofcourse!) waited outside for Mika. It was pouring down with rain and it was cold. I was considering leaving but luckily I didn't. Mika came out side to sign and take pics with however wanted to! He is a real angel;)

I gave Mika a small pink wooden heart to put in his Christmastree. I wrote "Dear Mika, Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2013!" on it. Then he signed my wooden heart (mmm, sounds funny!) which you can see on twitter or a few posts back.

I am a happy fan!

part one

After a rather difficult travel I arrived in Almere. Met Javah at the busstop so the last bit we went together.

Due to travelling issues I was an hour later then expected so no lunch for me. We got offered gluhwein at the studio but I must admit I didn't drink it. Was a bit of a risk on an empty stomach!

It was said the doors would open at 13.30H but eventually they didn't open till 14.45H

Then it took a while before the show really set off, apparently because we had to wait untill Mika was ready.

His entrance was amazing: Paul sang a dutch song about an angel in Amsterdam, and after that the curtain opened and there stood Mika! In a very sharp grey suit and......tadaah: white angel wings!

The show is quit hilarious and chaotic so I may forget or switch things..

Mika sang 'Only love you when I'm drunk', Underwater, Songbird, a very fast version of Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer.

It took a while (a loooong while) for Mika to arrive, but his entrance was angelic!

I'm home! And happy because our Christmas tree is complete now:teehee:

Sorry it's probably already mentioned somewhere but is this show airing tomorrow or closer to Christmas? I'm really looking forward to it, sounds like it's going to be funny.

I did a quick check in my tvguide. The only thing I can find is the regular episode on saturday the 22nd. No mentioning of Mika or Christmas though...

I think Ariane's voice is okay, but this version is too fast and too bubblegumpoppy. I also think it's a shame the *-words are left out. I thought that in our country that wouldn't be necessary...

Finally added myself to rsvp list; after lots of ticket stress. Apparently and hopefully everything is alright now. I will come tomorrow with SonjaD.

We are going to reanact Last Christmas by Wham, so the whole audience has to appear in a sweater. And ABERCROMBIE threatens us not to mock them because we have the first male models who ever to appeared half naked in a red coat and jeans. The Abercrombies are being difficult about is. GAYS!

If the stripes are glittery I think it will be Christmassy enough. They cannot expect us to rush out and buy Christmas sweaters at such short notice, especially in this busy time of the year.

 

Did you call the 09000123 number of the VARA, because I tried this one but it said the VARA is closed. So I replied to the email I've been sent last Tuesday regarding the tickets. I hope they will reply soon or else I will just print out the email and bring it with me tomorrow.

Yes, indeed the number is closed. (Which is strange imo because the letters says to call that number from monday till friday 9H till 17H) but you can call 035-6711911 the answeringmachine said.

To be honoust, the only thing I could think about today was: what shall I wear? It has to be warm because of the cold studio. But I don't think I have a Christmassy sweater.

Oh, and I wanted to mention I just called the Vara to ask at what time we can enter (max) and the answer is: half an hour before the start of the recording. So, 14H.

Does that mean you got an invitation by email and by mail? I didn't get anything by mail, only by email. I hope that's enough.

Both, I got an email yesterday and two envelops today.

Give the Vara a call, only to be sure.

Ha, the mailman just delivered the invitation. But now I've got 2:doh: Two envelops with identical letters:aah:!
