Who is Josh?

The UK can't vote for their own act in the ESC. This is okay as they wouldn't vote for Mika, but other countries who appreciate him might do so.

If he did well, he'd be the one who brought the ESC back into favour in the UK. The reason UK peeps don't like it is that we never win. We've had some crud acts and rubbish songs in recent years. Mika would change all that.

The reason that Dutch people don't like the esc is that it is seen as ridiculous. The act with the weirdest outfit or dance/show gets the most votes.

Hoe different that was in the past! E.g. Mocedades wit Eres Tu, such a beautuful song! But that was aaaaaages ago.

Hello fans, got off set this morning at 4am, filming lasted for about 20 hours, the video is nothing like you would have already guessed or would expect but I can assure you it will blow you away! MIKA and Ariana give an amazing performance as well as about 9 extras and 3 actors all coming together to put "popular" into cinematic artistry! You wont be disappointed in this video! The artist were so happy at the end of the day and the crew and cast were thrilled with the outcome... popular song video is going to be... well... very very popular!

I really really don't agree. I was screaming at the radio when Graham Norton said that! I think it would be the absolute Kiss of Death for Mika in the UK. The ESC is an object of ridicule in the UK.

That is exactely how it is in our country! Please Mika, do not do it!

It's seen as a ridiculous competition here in France too. I really can't see him taking part, it's one of the rare things where I'd rather not see Mika at all. Maybe it would give him publicity in other countries, but if it's publicity of this kind I'm not sure it would help him. And in France I think it could even harm his image.

Likewise here in the Netherlands.

Like Yuna said and if you look into his eyes during an interview or on television or even in pictures you see he doesn't have the 'spark' he used to have.

I saw him on several shows ànd live when he was at Paul de Leeuw and I definitly saw a spark. No wait: multiple sparks, he was having great fun!

I read the rumours too and frankly I'm not surprised at all. He didn't seem so happy lately and I think he needs to do this to regenerate and think about the way he want to go in the future. I'm glad he decided this and I hope he'll find his piece of mind. Meanwhile I will enjoy this year's festivals with Mika and enjoy the Origin Of Love figuratively and litterally. Besides he isn't gone he's only taking a break
