  1. Just want to let you know quickly (still studying for my exam tomorrow) that I received an e-mail today with the invitation.

I have to plan my train trip tomorrow, so maybe someone can tell me, at what time they will arive. I would love to see you all again and sitting in the studio together will be more fun, I guess.

    I think I'll arrive at approx. 13.H

I just checked my email: I also have the invitation!

We get a numbered seat, so I don't think we can all sit next to each other....too bad: I would really like to sit with the MFC!

  2. Really? If I had known it wouldn't be sold out almost instantaneously, I would have contacted one of my Dutch relatives to get me a ticket long ago :-( *opens e-mailaccount*

I haven't receive anything. I thought the woman on the phone said I would get the tickets a week before the show.

She said the money for the show would be withdrawn after the show. I have paid for the membership and I have received the cookbook and the cd.

I was already a member, so no gifts for me:sneaky2::teehee:

Oh after the show? Didn't know that.

  3. No, I was thinking about that last night. wondered if he had recorded the interview, or if it was live, how would he get back to London in time to sleep and go to the studio next day.

The poor guy is only human after all.

Now here's what I thought, during the interview.

I know the MFC are going to be chasing me with rubber mallets for saying this, but Mika you really should <caps lock on> ENTER EUROVISION! <caps lock off>

I wouldn't be saying this if the two gigs this week had been at the O2 Arena and the MEN Arena Manchester. By rights that's where he shoud be, but he isn't.

Lets face it, he'd win Eurovision. He'd deff get 12 points from France! But if he really didn't want to sing himself, he could write the song! What's good enough for Andrew Lloyd Webber, is good enough for Mika.

It would be great publicity for him, and lets face it, what has he got to loose by doing it? His career in the UK has stalled. Things can't get worse. He should take the risk.

I'm happy to hear he's going back to America again. He needs to build on the hype that started with his success on itunes USA. It will really help him.

Congrats to our now-famous Eloise and Maca, and anyone else who got their email read out.

Even though I have no idea what a rubber mallet is MM, here's one:teehee:: The Eurovision Songcontest is sooooo out of time, it is really very oldfashioned. And it is absolutely not about the singing quality anymore. The first place is for the act who puts down the most remarkable show! And it is complete politics: countries voting (or not voting) for their neighbours...blegghh:thumbdown:

I am so very glad that Mika doesn't want to be there!

  4. I have an idea.

How about cutting stars out of paper, write a personal message for Mika on each of them (Christmas greetings, wish for 2013 or something like that), glue them on paper and make a book of it? In this case, all MFCers can participate if they want and we can give Mika a book full of wishing/good luck stars. I don't know if it has already done before.

Since the Glasgow gig is cancelled, I have some extra time left, so I can work on it. People can send me their messages and I can write them on the stars and make a book of it. And we can use social media to spread the word and gather as many messages as possible.

Let me know what you think of it, because if we're going to do this, we need to be fast. The show is already this Thursday. :teehee:

You couldn't sleep? Posted this at 03.51 AM:shocked:

Let me think a bit about your idea. I'll be back.

  5. When I made my reservation, the receptionist told me, that the invitation will be sent by e-mail in the week of the recordings. She also said that the money for visiting the show will be withdrawn after attending the show. So I'll just wait for the invitation till next week.

The only thing I received so far is a conformation e-mail about the VARA membership and the Paul de Leeuw biography/recipe book.

I didn't have an email yet, also no money was withdrawn.

  6. I'm not going, but I was thinking it would be nice to surprise him with a pink star to go on that tree... the general colour theme of that hideous thing seems to be pink, so...

The effect might be nicer at a gig though... imagine a thousand people waving pink stars :naughty:

    Great idea Irene!

He will get a dozen pink stars.

We also could contact (nice job for Sylvana:wink2:) Paul's team and ask to give every audience member a pink star to hand over to Mika...:dunno:

  7. yw :)... first i wanted to wait before i call them but i couldn't actually haha! and she told me that whole show is about MIKA! i asked her if she could tell me something about what they will do... but she couldnt tell me that! lol i tried though haha!

Good for you! Thanks for trying:thumb_yello:

I was thinking: perhaps we can buy Mika a 'piek' for his chrismas tree? He could use that instead of a ribbon...

  8. Mika was lovely, he performed Celebrate and a cover of the amazing xmas tune This Is Christmas (War is over) by Lennon.

He also personally let some of the other fans in who didn't get tickets!

I filmed eventhough it was forbidden, naughty me. :)

Yes, naughty :wink2:, but really good for the MFC!

I hardly can't wait to see a vid of Mika singing War is over. It's such a beautiful song:wub2:
