  1. Ok, I'm already back home cause I didn't wait for the meet&greet this time. My sister went to the gig with me today (her first Mika gig, gave him 10/10!) and since we both have to work early tomorrow this one time I decided to skip that.

The gig was fantastic!! Waaay better than Berlin. I'm not saying Berlin wasn't good, it's just that today Mika seemed to be a bit more ekhm, Mikaish if you know what I mean.

We also know a little better now how this 'acoustic' gigs are supposed to look like so we felt free to enjoy ourselves. And omg we so did. Kam and I were in the 5th row and it was so funny to see that at times we were the only one dancing and waving hands. We had so much fun, I am so tired, I have no idea how I'll survive work tomorrow.

    Highlights:

-he did acoustic Relax! YES! I've been waiting so long to hear that and it was amazing!

-we stage invaded! It was my first stage invasion and the moron I am I tried to climb the stage from the floor instead of the chair. The stage was pretty high, needless to say I wasn't very succesfull :naughty: I must've looked like a fish taken out of water, all twitching, so embarassing.. Kam literally dragged me on to the stage. If this goes to YT I'll die.

-he started Any Other World!! I was so happy to hear it but then the little fecker made a mistake, stopped and played My Interpretation instead. I don't like MI, I'd love to hear AOW :sneaky2:

    -Love Today was awesome!!

-he had an orchestra with him, sounded so good!

-Dan is great, he fits in so well

-Alexander seems to be having the time of his life on this tour, I love it!

-there was a lady in my row, on the right side. She was about 60-70 (not sure, that was quite far and it was dark inside) and she was having as much fun as we were. Sometimes all the people were sitting and only her, Kam and I were dancing. I LOVED watching her. She was my ultimate highlight :wub2:

Ok, I gotta go to sleep.

I LOVED THIS GIG!!!!!!! Roll on Paris!!

  2. Here's my videoblog of the Pinkpop, jump to 1' for the Killers ;)

Yay, I haven't seen any pinkpop vids yet, thanks a lot for sharing!

And here I am with my report!!

Well what to say?? Hmm...they were fcuking amazing. Fantastic!! But waaaaaay too short. I mean I could listen to them for hours and hours... and hours.:wub2:But they really did a good show, a little spectacle.

I liked the way the stage was decorated. It was full of flowers (flowers for Flowers, he:teehee:), and the minute they put this beautiful "K" letter in the middle of the stage I knew it was going to be a night to remember.

Then you could see a countdown on the screen and the next minute they were on stage rocking Human. We all went a bit crazy. And they continued with the same flare through all the gig.

They were on fire!! I was jumping like mad, singing along, screaming and just having the best time, lol.

I absolutely LOVED when they played A Dustland Fairytale. IMO this is one of their best songs, and I was SO happy to hear it live. I just closed my eyes and enjoyed it.

Luckily we were able to get a good spot near the stage so I had a good view. I don't have any pictures cuz we were told it wasn't allowed to bring cameras in. I took some with my BlackBerry but I doubt they are any good.

I must admit though that right after the concert I was bit down, a bit disappointed- but not in them of course. It all ended so fast, so sudden. I wanted more but it was already over. It's just not fair- why do all good things end so fast?:aah:Anyway I really really hope this wasn't the last time I saw them.

    They are superb.:thumb_yello: And I want more!!:pinkbow:

I'm soo happy to hear you had a great time! Well, I wouldn't expect anything else when it comes to TK :teehee:

I know exactly what you mean, time always goes by so fast, especially when you've been waiting for so long for something.. How many songs did they play?

  3. Thank you all so much for the reports, I enjoyed every single one. I've been so anxious this week. After Berlin I thought that the London gig was so near, just a week, but every single day seems like forever. Your reports made it easier so thank you! :wub2:

And the living room thing, oh my, what an amazing idea! And what an amazing way to make sure people buy loads of things from you :naughty:

I have mixed feelings about September secret gigs. It's the only month this year that I won't be able to go anywhere to see Mika and it saddens me to think of the things I'll miss out on. But on the other hand MFC has done wonders to my selfishness and I can't help but be happy for the people who will see him then. I'm sure it's gonna be special :wub2:

  4.

    I like this one

    http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=220526208&albumID=1239095&imageID=19553869

    :naughty:

And the one with TH :teehee:

I took like 5 photos during the gig and they're all blurry. Yours are much better, thanks for sharing. Oh, I forgot to tell you in Berlin that your shoes are lovely :mf_lustslow:

OMG U LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DID U MANAGE TO GET MIKA TO GIVE U A DRAWING?!?!?!?!?! THATS AMAZING:mf_lustslow:

Mika was in really good spirits that night so most of the people got some drawings. Not as sweet as that skelly though :wub2:

My friend got an eye and I got an angel. Or more like a heart with a head and wings :naughty:

  5.

Too long to quote, but I just had to say that I loved your report and it echoes my feelings about the gig :wub2:

And that's actually the shortest gig report I've ever written, I tried my best to be brief :teehee:

Number girls - KamIva, agnieszka, those were you, right? Sorry I didn’t talk to you a lot. You really did a fantastic job with that list.

I just saw your post, there will be next time for sure :wink2:

Like it was already said, it wasn't us who started the list. These were the girls from the German MFC (who btw are wonderful people :wub2: with tendencies to get watches stuck in their hair :naughty: ) KamIva and I took the job for an hour or so while they were gone.

This is actually when the special numbers were given out, those with smileys. A smile is actually a very unique code. You should keep it safe. If you've already washed it off you're basically screwd. For those who don't wash their hands, you will get an e-mail from us at the top of the week :original:

  6. I am not a morning person. I have problems waking up every morning. I had to wake up at 2am in order to catch my flight to Berlin. And that was after going to bed at 1am... I woke up and started moaning. While putting my shoes on I could only think of the reasons why I shouldn't go to Berlin. I should be saving money for my holidays, I should be writing my thesis blah blah.

Now, I couldn't be happier that I did decide to go. It wasn't perfect. But it was sooo good!

Let me just quickly get done with things I didn't like. I didn't like rude people pushing when we were queueing at the doors. They pretended they didn't speak English when I was telling them not to jump the queue. I didn't like the drunk man who decided to stand in front of me during the gig. I was in the first row so he had space to do so. He then called his girlfriend to join him. When I told him off he first pretended he didn't understand me, then said "I'm sorry" apologetically and remain in his place. I kicked him in the ankle a few times and in the end he went back to his place. The security did nothing.

I didn't like the fact that nobody prevented people running up to the stage. It's dreadful what happened to Sara, it shouldn't have happened.

I really wish he played Relax. I was looking forward to it. I'm hoping to hear it either in London or Paris.

I will now happily proceed to the things I liked.

I liked the queueing. I've spent couple of hours talking to lovely people, walking down sunny streets and sitting on a park bench eating gummy-bears. Best queueing I've ever had.

I'm so happy that the numbers strategy worked out. Thank you to everyone involved. Girls who made the list, Sara and others who continuously informed people it'll go according to it. Thank you.

And I simply loved the gig. Besides that drunk idiot I was surrounded by great people and partly it's cause of them that I enjoyed the gig so much. Partly, it's also cause of Mika. :naughty:

It was so different from the previous ones I've seen. I got so used to hearing the first notes of Relax, the adrenaline, Mika in the spotlight, starting to sing. It caught me a bit of guard when he just went out, sat at the piano and started singing. And then immediately stopped. And started again. And then stopped. And started for the third time. I could see this was going to be something special. My heart was beating so fast, though not as fast as Mika's probably.

Ok, so this was not exactly an acoustic show. But it was so entirely different from what I'm used to. To be able to just sit there, stare at his back (right side of the audience) and listen to his voice was something truly unique. I did dance around during Love Today and had so much fun but the slower songs were far more pleasurable for me that night. Not because I don't like to have fun. Because Mika singing Over My Shoulder in a tiny, beautiful church, with not even one person speaking, is one of the most touching things I've ever experienced.

And after the gig he went out. He talked to every single person that waited in the queue. And there was a lot of people there. He came up to every single person, looked in the eyes of every single person, smiled back, joked around and he drew me an angel on my copy of the set-list. Gotta love him.

  7. I really like the idea of making numbers this time, like it was done in London. As to non-mfcers possibly having a problem with it/not standing orderly in English-fashioned queues, maybe it'd be ok to give the numbers to the first 50-60 people there? It doesn't have to be everyone, just the first people there.

  8. OMG that is awesome! I'm so effin' happy for you and that they'll release a new DVD :biggrin2:

Thank you! They haven't recorded it yet and I already can't wait to see it :teehee:

    Have fun!!:thumb_yello:

I'm seeing them in less than 10 days. Can't wait.:teehee:

    I'm seeing them tomorrow :wub2:

    Have fun!!

  9. Holy cow... how unprofessional this is. I still do not have my tx and at Sandbag the only thing they say is "Everything will be ok". They do not work in the weekend, Monday is a Bank Holiday and Tuesday is the gig. So when will it be ok then? How come this Helen woman does not communicate a solution? Is that why we pay fees? How hard can it be to put some tickets in an envelope IN TIME? Amateurs.

Anybody received some worthy info from those sand bags? Please share it with us.

Dunno if you'll find the info below worthy but I think this is the latest we've been told.

Freddie has been kind enough to keep us updated :)

Unfortunately we haven’t received the Berlin tickets as yet – they’re in the UK but not with us – that means we’re not going to be able to mail them today – the postman comes at 4pm. We do expect to mail them tomorrow but a lot of customers aren’t going to get them in time.

We should have Sadlers Wells out on Monday and Paris tickets have been mailed us today (not sure how quickly they’ll get here though – hopefully quicker than the Berlin tickets!)

  10. The Killers will perform in the Royal Albert Hall on 5th and 6th of July! More importantly, they will then record their first ever live dvd!!! It'll be released later this year.

And I just got presale tickets for both shows  *faints*

Tickets will be released for the general public tomorrow at 8am, if anyone's interested!

If it was 2 weeks later I wouldn't be able to make it. I am so happy :wub2:

On Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at 8:00 AM (GMT), members of The Victims, the official fan club of The Killers, will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets for the following shows:

Sunday, July 5th, 2009 - London, GB - Royal Albert Hall

Monday, July 6th, 2009 - London, GB - Royal Albert Hall

The Killers have just confirmed two special concerts at The Royal Albert Hall on July 5th and 6th 2009. After their spectacular show at the legendary London venue last November, the Las Vegas band has chosen this most spectacular backdrop as the venue to which they’d most like to return for the filming of a live DVD, which will be released later this year. As a member of The Victims, the band wants you to come along and be part of the show.

It’s going to be a wonderful two nights. We hope you can join us.

In other news, be sure to watch the band perform, and an interview with Brandon, on BBC1 show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, on Friday (29th) at 10.35pm.

  11. :yay:

I'm afraid I'll have nothing to trade for the hot chocolate until Helen manages to direct the carrier pigeons towards Denmark though, doubt that'll happen before Berlin :boxed:

S'ok, we still have London if the pigeons turn out not to be as fast and efficient as our dear Helen :thumb_yello:

  12. yes we do!!! :wub2:

everything is running smoothly, we've got a real exclusive (if people do not post the ticket link everwhere....:wink2:), server did not crash...this is a milestone in our history!:mf_lustslow:

    enjoy fans who are going!

    be proud!

    :thumb_yello:

    I agree!

What I also like about this presale is that it started a few hours after the announcement. It's better this way imo, having some time to organize things. Wish it'll stay like this for future presales :thumb_yello:

  13. I'm telling you: this is a home business, and poor Helen is trying to multitask making up the codes, sending emails, packing tickets in envelopes, whilst breastfeeding the twins :roftl::roftl:

    I just pictured that :roftl:

Must not be very easy as she's operating from the capsule hotel :naughty:

shall we open a helen appreciation thread? :biggrin2:

i guess she deserves a true moment of real fun!

I'm so in for that. AND we have her e-mail, we can send her the link :biggrin2:

But maybe let's wait till she's finished sending our tickets, wouldn't want to distract her :teehee:

  14. I wouldn't be so panicked yet. I mean it's still one week.

If not emails were sent to those who were asking, showing quite explicitly that that sandwich company people are pretty troubled themselves.

What does that bank holiday have to do with anything? I don't get it. We already have to have the tickets by then.

It's not about the German bank holiday, there's one in the UK today. Sandwich, erm, Sandbag, are based here so a day off can be a problem.

Not for Helen though, her workoholism is becoming legendary :naughty:

  15. They probably need that poor Helen person to go and manually tick a box to 'dispatched' or something :naughty:

Another example of my post in the Berlin thread about this Sandbag business. They need a proper automated service.

    :lmfao:

Poor woman, do you think she ever leaves the office? Or maybe the sandbag has this kind of 'hotels' for employees, like they have in Japan :biggrin2:

    9d9f249de64c2740.jpg

  16. The gig is in a week and I agree, it's ridiculous what's going on with the tickets.

Like sariflor, I HATE having to pick my ticket up at the box office. :boxed: In the past, when I had to choose from sites that are sending tickets overseas and those that don't, I never hesitated and picked those that did, even if I had to spend additional money on it. I just don't feel that good traveling without my precious ticket, especially when it's abroad.

But just to be fair, is it really sandbag's fault? I'm an ignorant when it comes to the way ticketing companies work. However, as far as I know, they would love to send the tickets as much as we'd love to have them already, it's just that they haven't received them yet from the promoters? I say, blame it on the promoters! :naughty:
