I'm American. I find it really difficult to understand most people with a strong English (England) accents, worse if they speak very fast, but I can understand just about everything Mika says/sings. (Not everything, because sometimes when he sings really high, I'm not sure what he's singing--the words).

one of the rare times he's on american tv and i miss it. and on vh1 too, of all places! i watch that channel all the time.

I never noticed how British it sounds until I heard him talking at Glastonbury. He really switches back and forth depending on who he's surrounded by.

I doubt it's a piercing... moles can appear any time during your life, besides the hole is off center. maybe it's a sealed up piercing? left-ear piercings were big in the '80s, they say.
