Maybe they're all still hungover?
HAPPY NEW YEAR! -
SD! I'm surprised at you. Considering you've stayed around on here, I would have thought you might at least have spotified them.
*says the woman who buggered off for three years*
I know, I'm horrible! Will get around to it soon.. Maybe.
-
You'd think that, wouldn't you. Meanwhile I can't get a full time job and I'm not the only one. I just want to teach full time.
Hey guys just popping in. I do check in occasionally, real life is just busy.
Haven't bought the new cd, or heard any of the songs. I know, I'm horrible. Maybe sometime soon I'll get around to listening.
I'm worried about that being the case when I finish.
You're not the only one.. I am just too lazy.

Speaking of remembering stuff we used to do a few years back... I remember you posting stacks of Anthony Perkins pics on here and talking about Psycho...Oh, yeah! SD did spam the thread with Anthony Perkins pics. And didn't you used to do a little spamming of your own, hey?
Hehe, indeed I did!
I still like Psycho, but yeah, my Anthony Perkins obsessive fixation is over. I used to have a pretty obsessive personality back then. Mid-teenage years I suppose. I'm a little more normal now.
Not really.

And SD! You too! Are you about to finish up at Uni? I'm remembering that you didn't come to the Sydney show because you were doing your year 12 exams and that was three years ago, which is enough time for you to get into Uni and just about have completed a three year degree. So...is that what happened?
Hello!
Well no, not really close to finishing uni. I think I couldn't make it to the show because of year 11 assignments, so year 12 was the following year (2010). That means I've been out of school for two years now.. Getting old.
I had a gap year straight after the HSC and worked as a teachers' aide at my old school, made a little bit of money, had some time off. And this year I started my degree, which is a Bachelor of Education (K-12). It's a four year course so I actually still have three years to go! Golly.
But yes, everything is going pretty well. Glad to see you and a few of the others again!

Though admittedly, I do conduct the occasional lurk.

It seems (almost) everybody is having a little revisit into the Aussie thread!
-
Did you have a good birthday?
Yeah, I did thanks! Had breakfast and afternoon coffee with family during the day and went out for dinner and drinks with friends at night. Had lots of fun!
No longer a teenager.. It feels good!
How have you been lately?
-
As I know you Aussies don't get out much, there's a new song
I like it, for the most part. Cute video clip too.
-
Could say the same about you
You know you love me.
-
Hello everybody! Hope you're all well.
I'm going to apologise to everyone, the wedding has pretty much taken over my brain so if it's too much then just tell me to shut up.No need to apologise, I love hearing about those kinds of things!
Or evenWhen I get married I'm going to wear something like that. Only bigger!
Hoping it's obvious, but I thought I'd point out that I am joking.
This is so beautiful!
I don't think you are limiting your choices.Lace dresses are all the rage since Kate Middleton wore one, and hers was very elegant.
A few days after the royal wedding I was at my Nan's looking at the photos on the piano and her wedding dress was practically identical to Kate Middleton's. So lovely.
HelloooooWho are you?
... Awkward

Thanks SD... I'm getting very excited now. It didn't feel real yesterday (partly cause the ring got stuck on my finger and had to be cut off ) but with all the congratulatory messages etc I'm getting excited... it feels real now!
YAES!
Oh wow, well that's certainly a interesting engagement story to tell!

Just saw a little something on Facebook..
CONGRATULATIONS TEGAN!!! -
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I had quite an interesting New Year's Eve. I happened to be in a taxi with a couple of friends when the clock ticked over. Celebrated 2012 with a taxi driver called John!

Hello all! I know it's been a long time since I last said anything here, but I have been reading intermittently. And I am aware that I still haven't posted photos of my new place. I have my camera now so I might try to get them up in the next week (if I don't go to bed early tonight I might just get it done then). For all of this I am sorry. I do miss all of you guys.
I fly out of Sydney on 15 April and get back to Sydney on 14 May...Sooooo, it's:
16-21 April: London
21-26 April: Calais, etc
26-29 April: Paris
29 April-2 May: London
2-11 May: Scotland
12 May: Overnight in Dubai (but when I say overnight, it means land at 12:30am, go to the motel for 6 hours and back to the airport by 7am ). Ooooooh, I don't think I'll be sleeping too much that day. Might just wait till I get back on the plane and sleep on there.
That will be so awesome! I am rather jealous.

Soooo, what's happening with everyone? I got the itinerary for my trip O/S next year from the travel agent, and it's looking good! All I need to do is work out where I want to go/stay in Scotland and pay for everything and it's all good
Ooooh, and ask for time off from work... that might be a good idea...
Sounds awesome!
I haven't been doing much, just settling into my new place. Finally got the couches today so I'm enjoying not sitting on the floor. Apart from that, I've been working and trying (often in vain) to save money. The school holidays just started so the next two weeks are going to be great. But I can't believe that this year is kind of almost over. I'm going to have to find another job soon. And I highly doubt it will be as fun as my one at school.
But yeah, I'll take photos of the place soon. But I think I left my camera at home.

Awesome! We need pictures! And I highly recommend hard rubbish collection.
Awesome, what house are you in? Me and Bec are in Ravenclaw :biggrin2
Pictures will come! Hard rubbish collection?
I'm in Ravenclaw as well!!

Newly painted is good (as long as you like the colour). You can change the look a lot with curtains and accessories.
Yeah, that's true. Well I went furniture shopping today (spent so much money) and now I'm so excited for the move-in next weekend!! But the couches I bought may take 3-4 weeks before they're ready.
And...
I GOT MY POTTERMORE EMAIL!!! -
Details, details! Furnished or unfurnished? How many rooms? Are you allowed to decorate it at all? When's the house-warming party
It's unfurnished, I'm going furniture shopping on Saturday. One bedroom, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Well I can't do anything like painting, etc (it's been newly painted and carpeted), but I will certainly try to make it look cool. And I'll post some photos when I've got it all ready! And not sure about house-warming yet, but you're very welcome to come.
Yayness! Congrats!Hope you've got some furniture to put in your flat!
Thanks!
I've got some furniture. But I'll need to get a fair bit more, and try to spend as little money as possible in the process.

Well tell us what it is, thenWHAT?? FOR GODS SAKE, JUST TELL US!
Well.. I've been thinking of moving out into my own place for a little while now and yesterday I was told that I was approved to rent a little flat. I signed the lease today and start moving in on Friday week.
-
Wow! I'd go with the coloured one just because her eyes look so gorgeous in it. But they're both beautiful.
Also guys... Guess what?!!!! I'm super excited about something (no, it's not Pottermore related).
-
People are being let in in random order now, since yesterday. People are getting sorted and making potions and practicing spells, but I'm still stuck in the muggle world
Me too!
-
btw, it's not such a long way to
I must be too young, that reference went right over my head.

That is an insanely long wait... and hi!HELLO!!!
