I can't wait to try it, and get sorted (so nervous, and even if this is a JK Rowling made test, no matter what it says I'm a Ravenclaw)
Icestar85 is my name.
Haha, yes I'm a little nervous as well. I consider myself to be Ravenclaw as well.

Anyways what I came on to ask was, who has early access to Pottermore? If you don't there's still 2 days. I can't wait until next week when hopefully I'll be able to get into it.
I do!! Managed to get it on the first day! I was so excited filling everything out. My username is ElmVine161, what's yours? I'm also hoping I get an email next week so that I can start trying it out as soon as possible.

Just going to put this here
Man I'm still so tired, but I'm going to my mums today. Curse you jetlag.

Okay then, who's seen Harry Potter yet? What did ypu think? What was your favourite part?
I have!! I loved it! Hmm, favourite part.. I'm seeing it again tomorrow so I might be able to give a better answer then, but I loved everything with Snape, as I did in the book. I actually really liked the opening bit with Snape looking out over the students walking in the courtyard that was before the title came up. And the bit in the forest with.. those four people (trying not to reveal anything in case anybody hasn't read the books) was very moving.

Awesome! How far are you going to dress up? I can't decide. There are probably 3 options:
- Normal clothes but with a Harry Potter shirt
- Same as previous, but with extra accessories (scarf, etc)
- Full character costume
I'm worried that it will be mostly children with their parents and I will look abnormal if I go too all out.
Did anyone stay up all night to watch the red carpet of the premiere in London last night? It was awesome! And horrible. So much hugging and crying. And I honestly don't know how he works his way into everyone of my posts, but flipping Darren Criss was basically the ONLY non Deathly Hallows actor that the cameras followed on the red carpet, and it was AMAZING because he was bouncing around in excitement the whole time, while Joe Walker followed him, trying to act normal. Can I just asghdghjdsdghjhgfd over the fact that he brought Joe as his plus one?
We're basically dressing up as generic Hogwarts students. So I'll be wearing things that I already own (white collared shirt, grey skirt, black stockings, blue Ravenclaw-ish tie) and my friend, who is pretty artistic and creative, is going to make us a couple of black cloaks and wands. So I guess that's going reasonably far. But I'm pretty sure there will be other people dressing up. There have been a few (around my age) when I've seen the other ones and they weren't even midnight showings.
I didn't watch but I've seen pictures, videos and quotes from it today. I loved Emma's dress!

I'm so excited! I'm going to a midnight screening of Harry Potter! And my friend and I are going to dress up!

Leakycon is the 14th or 15th I think. In 10 days. And we go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter before then.
Oh wow, I am so jealous. You're going to have an amazing time. I know I've already said this at least twice, but I order you to tell us every single little thing about it!

So new topic: Which do you like better - the early Queen music (70s) or the newer music (80s, 90s)?
It's very close, but I'd say that I prefer the music they made in the 70s. While they became better musicians as the years progressed I preferred their styles of songwriting in the early years.

Omg i love your sig
Haha thanks. It's one of my favourite photos of the four of them.

Does anybody else have a huge crush on Mr. Shue from Glee? I think he is super cute
Definitely!
-
Wow, so many! Let's see..
Mr Darcy..
(both Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen are fine by me)
Count Almasy from The English Patient..
(so passionate!)
Captain Von Trapp from The Sound of Music..
(mm, beautiful voice and a sensitive man with a harsh exterior)
Mr Rochester from Jane Eyre..
(mysterious!)
Dr House..
(or Hugh Laurie in general)
Remus Lupin from Harry Potter..
(more from the books, but the movie one is alright)
And I so agree with whoever said V from V for Vendetta, especially in the film..
I'm sure there are many more, I'll post them as I think of them.

I love watching interviews with Freddie. He's so charming and honest and he's not afraid to disagree with the interviewer if they're being an idiot. Sigh, he was amazing.
you are quite right Brian really did believe in that song, i managed to see him live a few times and he was amazing, much better than on CD. Do you know what the song is about?Yeah, he wrote it about how he felt about cheating on his then-wife Chrissie with Anita Dobson. I think it expresses how horribly he felt about what he had done (the situation he'd gotten himself and everyone else into) and how difficult he found it to choose between the two of them.
He may have his flaws like the rest of us but.. I love Brian.

garaunteed sobbing with this one, it was ok when brian sang it but when fred did , my Goodness, brilliant
I actually much prefer Brian's version. Of course, Freddie did an amazing job with it, as he did with all songs. But listening to Brian's version, you can hear so much emotion in his voice and how sad and regretful he was about the situation he'd caused. And when Brian did it live, it was never as perfect or as vocally powerful as Freddie could have been, but it was just so heart-wrenching and he always had tears in his eyes by the end.
Brilliant.

Hello everyone! I've decided that I will go for school captain. Even if I don't win I think it will be a good thing to have a go at. Today the deputy headmaster told us that we have to give a 1.5-2 minute speech at the school assembly on Wednesday (short notice!). I've just finished writing mine, and I think it's alright. Nothing amazing, but it's all I can think of!
Hey all ive uploaded my WAG video to youtube......here it is! :That's brilliant!

Tegan, your avatar is so true!

II meant to say - what the hell? When will you be in year 12? I'm confused
In NSW we only have three terms of year 11. Year 12 then starts in term four and goes until the end of term three next year. The HSC exams are in the fourth term.

Did anybody else get an email from Pottermore? I just checked my emails and I have one! Although I still can't get in yet. The main thing it says is "You have been selected for early entry into Pottermore!" and that my account will be activated some time between mid-August and the end of September. Gah! Hope it happens sooner rather than later. But I suppose I don't mind waiting.
