I haven't tried to be a successful musician, mostly cos I know I can't carry a tune, but there are a lot of things I have tried and failed at. For example I haven't tried to sue everyone who graduates from Oxford, and, in a case where I actually would have succeeded, I haven't tried to sue my old boss for firing me cos I had PTSD. It would have been pointless and I hadn't suffered enough of a loss to warrant legal action, just like I very much doubt this woman has. Not offended, just extremely dislike people who use the legal system to make a quick penny or express bitterness.

I'm not mocking her for being unsuccessful. I'm mocking her for being bitter and pathetic about it. It's like, ok, you tried, respect for that, but either do what Mika did and keep fighting until you are successful, or get over it and move on with your life.

I've heard someone (I think it was my dad) describe Love Today as being sung in a falsetto that would make Mickey Mouse's voice crack! Thought that was quite good.

Point a. Language. "Frigging" is a really not nice word and is one of the few (along with c**t and t**t) that really grosses me out. Point b. Of course we're biased. But this is just a completely pointless case where the only possible benefit for her IS money. We all want money, but we don't go round suing everyone we think we stand a chance against. I hate this culture of suing anyone we can. I mean I work with St John Ambulance, and we're not allowed to do a lot of things that could save someone's life, cos idiots like this woman sue just to make a quick buck. And I wouldn't want to put myself in this woman's shoes. She was hideously unsuccessful, but she's still clinging on to that tiny shred of non-existant fame in an attempt to get some of Mika's money. Well I'm sorry, but she gets absolutely NO sympathy from me.

Awesome review... although... just watched the orange puppets rolling heads video she was talking about... never EVER want to imagine Mika doing that kinda vid again. I think if Mika did a vid like that, that'd be the point where I'd stop listening to music altogether.

Definitely not. Totally worth it though. Even Mika drawing with Timberfake is an injustice as great as an innocent man being hanged for murder.

If the worst comes to the worst he could just change it to Mica. Although there is someone called that too. Realistically, if HMV can sell stuff by three different Michael Jacksons, I don't see how its harming this woman at all for Mika to use that name too. She's never even been heard of, let alone internationally like Mika has

Dunno what I'm gonna do for accommodation. May book a coach for really late that night and just head back to Exeter. Save me from getting murdered by my personal tutor for missing two days worth of lectures.

It's just plain, simple greed and jealousy. Unfortunately, after years as a Michael Jackson fan, I'm used to this. If people want money, or are jealous of someone else having it, they're just too quick to reach for their lawyer. It's disgusting.

How does being in Belgium count? As far as I'm aware they're not allowed to discriminate like that. He may be famous in Belgium, but even SHE's not famous there!!

If you look on itunes there is also an elctronic artist called Mika, no surname, just Mika. Wonder if she's suing him/her.

I know. I know my worst nightmare would be my friends or whatever specualting over stuff like this about me, so I'm sure Mika would feel the same here. Judging by what I've been told about his refusal to talk about it and changing the subject, this is still really traumatic to him and... yeah.

He gave too much detail to be kidding around. I mean he knew all sorts. Told me what songs they played, what his voice was like, talked bout his childhood and everything. The teacher thing sounds awful. But, we should really try not to speculate. If Mika doesn't want to talk about it, then it's obviously still really traumatic for him. And, if the connotations you associate with the word abuse are true, he really wouldn't want that speculated about on the board. I know I wouldn't. And if it's not true, he wouldn't want that kind of rumour flying round about him.

Exactly. It's not exactly strengthening her case when she's had like almost eight months to issue her claim and has only chosen to do it now Mika's had some great success.
