1. thanks everyone for your reports, pics and vids!!

Here an extract of TOOL where you can see the ballons

the balloons were such a great idea, love this video!!!

He was funny but emotional at the same time, audience was responsive, energetic for energetic songs but quietly listening with emotion on quiet songs...

thank you so much for the detailed report Camille:flowers2:

quoted my favorite phrase, it shows that it must have been a really special gig!! everything about it sounds perfect as it had both funny and emotional moments plus the premiere of such a beautiful song like Un Soleil Mal Luné :wub2::wub2:

  2. We had loads of fun! And enjoyed every minute of it. :)

I would just like to say, that I had a great time. I was in the choir too, and it was just amazing..

So glad to hear you enjoyed it! It's such an honor to be in the choir and it's really great to hear that you loved every minute of it.

Yeah, it was the best gig for ages, the energy and vibe were really good and it was so good to listen to his chatting :wub2: I especially loved Lola. He had some opera singer friends in the audience who answered his singing, so cool! He talked a lot about his grandmother (before SITM I think), about pots and pans and how they all call her "mother" (because grandmother sounds too old) and it's was somehow super cute. I think I have something filmed. Stardust and UW were so good I literally couldn't breath after them. The background looked really good and he was sitting on the chair and singing and I was staring at his profile and thinking "OMG this man can sing SO beautifully". And then I suddenly couldn't breath.

Also, it was so nice people didn't push or be rude afterwards and he signed everyone waiting in the line. I just gave him a film I had bought and he seemed to actually like it (another nice surprise!). So it was quite short but the atmosphere was very nice, it makes wonders when people just wait their turn and stand in a line :thumb_yello:

I met some really nice new Danish people and I have always loved Copenhagen (I could easily live there) so I'm glad I did this one. I will check my vids when I have better time, not sure at all what I have in my camera.

Thanks for the report and Stardust vid Nina!! Glad you had such a great time. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos. Even if you say they're not perfect I think it's definitely worth uploading. Would love to hear all the chatting etc.

PS, which film did you give him?

  3. thanks everyone for your reports, pics and vids:flowers2:

seems like this was a fantastic start of the European tour:wub2:

    Wrote a blog: http://ingridchant.blogspot.nl/2012/10/rocking-****-out-of-paradiso.html

You know, I also wasn't sure about sending in my video. I thought I wasn't good enough. But, had I not done it, then I wouldn't have had the great experience I had yesterday, plus I wouldn't have met all these amazing people. Yeah, rejection is tough, and I would've been sad if I wouldn't have been picked, but at least you've tried.

As we say in my language; Nee heb je, ja kun je krijgen.

Which basically means: You have a no, but you can get a yes:naughty:

Really enjoyed reading your blog Ingie! It must be a super amazing experience being in the choir!

  4. OH and they showed a clip of the choir on AXS TV! The bad news is IM THE ONLY ONE NOT IN THE SHOT! haha :doh:My entire body is covered by my sisters big head! oh well.

I haven't found it online yet. I was the only from the choir that saw it on tv so they made me record it with my phone! You may have to turn it up a bit.

it's lovely hearing him talk about the polka dots and seeing everyone rehearsing! thanks for the video:flowers2:

  5. As for me, I’ve been waiting for quite some time for the chance to see Mika live and it’s beyond surreal that tonight I was able to do so. This being my first time to ever see Mika live, to be honest with you, it’s hard to put an experience like this into words. You can listen to a song dozens of times on a cd, but to hear and see it performed live is like a whole other level. They were brought to life. The positive energy that came from Mika and the crowd was simply amazing and so was the passion that he has for his music. This is my interpretation. This night, this show was way better than I expected. I was really glad to be a part of it and I hope that someday I will able to experience this all over again. As one American fan who speaks for most, if not all the American fans, when you complete your US dates, please feel free to come back to visit us again live in concert sometimes in the future and thank you for an amazing night."

Lovely report, especially love the bolded part!

  6. OK, I've recorded it here:

I only have satellite radio in my car, so I had to record it with my phone while sitting in the garage. :naughty: That's why it sounds like he's talking in a tin can or something...

The DJ just tweeted at me though that he was going to see about getting the

*extended* version of the interview online. So stay tuned... :thumb_yello:

loved this interview and all that talk about the polka dots!! thanks Deb:flowers2:

so good to hear him so happy about the album doing so well in the US:wub2:

  7. Green polka dots look like a lot of TOOL records on a white background (well not sure if it is the same color in natural light of course). Love how it looks, and it's such a great idea in general, can't wait to see the new show with the choir live.

Thanks for the pics and vids, everyone! These NYC gigs must have been so special! So happy for his new US success :wub2:

You're right. It does look like it's the same color as the bonus cd!

I'm very happy to see his success in America too, he deserves it so much:wub2:
