  1. Ma jeunesse is a deeply moving song. It sounds honest, personal, poetic, incredibly melodic and sooo beautiful. Absolutely adore this song!!! Really hope I get to listen to it live at some point:wub2:

He could do a new album with only such French songs :fisch: i think only me and a few other crazy old fashioned French fans would buy it :aah:

An album like that would be a dream come true for me:wub2:

  2. Hi everybody, thank you for the very nice welcome to MFC!

Before the LA show there was an announcement that Mika would be singing new songs, and that "we'd like to share them with You, but not with YouTube". However, I didn't hear about this until we were on our way out of the show, and by then I'd already shot every song. :chair:

So, what this boils down to is that I've got Century Man and whatever else was new. Someday when they've been officially released and if everyone agrees the time is right, I'll be happy to share! But until then I'm just gonna say my camera screwed up and I didn't get any new songs at all.

There's an electricity hearing a brand new song with the whole audience experiencing it together for the first time all at once. I agree with those who feel that by hunting down the new stuff on youtube, you rob yourself of this delight. :mikalove:

Thanks again for the warm welcome, see ya around MFC!

:welcomeani: to MFC Kevin! I understand what you're saying about the new songs. But you can still upload any videos you might have of the old songs since your recordings are such great quality and everyone loves them so much.

Thanks once again for the videos you've already posted!

  3. So good to read on twitter Mika enjoyed the show so much! He deserves this so much!

    Really quick.

Awesome. He played all three new songs, I don't even know the names of them, but Century Man was played. We got him to play longer!! He played Lola, Rain, Over my Shoulder, which was beautiful. He sang Elle Me Dit auf french!

Met lots of neat people. Took pics, phone then of course, died. We queued after show and Mika came out real fast and signed/hi-fived etc.

Manager was grumpy. Took a look at all of us in the alley, said, ****! and then went back inside.

I totally forgot to say anything to him about the MFC. /bad me.

Such a small venue, it was great. Mama Penniman was there as well.

T-shirts for sale. Minimal sizes & no tour specific t-s... ie, pic of him on piano/intimate show. Cash only, no credit cards, but oh the ATM machine is right there for a $3.00 fee.

He was looking forward to his day off.

Absolutely lovely show. Pics later, it's almost 1 a.m. & I have to work tomorrow. I hope it's not another 3 years or so until I see him again.

Now I'll pass him on to the next city. Enjoy!

Thanks for the first report! Sounds great:thumb_yello:

  4. This is a really good interview. Definitely one of the best we've read lately and so interesting.

Totally get what he's saying about the Catholic church. It reminded me of the article he's done for XL about religion, that is certainly one of my favorites of his column as I absolutely agree with everything he had written.

Walt Disney has always been one of my heroes so I'm really happy he mentioned him. His films were excellent and with so much heart.

Also love his choice of favorite videos. Happy Ending has been one of my faves ever since I first watched it. Underwater is incredibly beautiful and in my opinion the best one he's done so far:wub2:

  5. Enjoyed watching this interview so much! So relaxed, interesting and about music.

It's true cassettes were really important back then. The first album I ever bought was a cassette (it was MJ's Dangerous).

And yes a beautiful theatre is indeed the perfect place for a gig!!:wub2:

Also it was great hearing him speak Spanish!

    Thank you Laura and Alicia:flowers2:
