    Mika will always be Mika, whether he has a haircut, wears a suit occasionally, or whatever. He is unique.

    But if you look at pictures of Elvis Presley throughout his career, or picturs of John Lennon, they changed their images and the clothes they wore, but people still loved them, and they stayed unique.

    In years to come people MAY talk about Mika's LICM look, and then Mika's (whatever) look. But he'll always be Mika, and he'll always be brilliant, and he'll always look gorgeous.

    Yeah, having a celebrity crush is totally normal - goodness knows, i've had many!

     

    But, like you said, its when it turns into the obsession stage.

     

    I get scared when i see young girls crying and fainting, and chasing after the said celebrity screaming their heart out (not specifically Mika fans, i'm talking more about the "boyband fans")!!

     

    Most of us here have only met Mika once or twice, and have exchanged a few sweet words etc. But we don't really know what Mika is like. We have our own perception of what his personality is like through the media, but we've never spent a long time living with him.

     

    So that's probably the main reason i wouldn't run off with him.... i'm aware i'm getting too technical and probably missing the light hearted point of the thread - but that's Psychology students for you! :lol3:

     

    That's all very true...I am totally NOT obsessed with him, I think that being "obsessed" is a bit loony...I just fancy him....ALOT.

    I do agree... but it aint new. It all started when he dropped the braces, for me.

     

    Yep...same here. Its a shame really....I miss the old wacko and colourful Mika, with the long bouncy curls. I guess now since he's rolling in money, he's gonna start dressing up in all those elegant designer clothes and all... :sad:

    I want his braces back!!!! :crybaby:

    Mika's diva-like high notes are some of the best parts of his shows. :wub2:

     

    I've listened to Happy Ending from LA soo many times, with the volume at such a level that it would make any respectable ear doctor cringe. Bonus points if it's through earbuds, to better blast his notes right into my brain.

     

    But really, when he hits that first money note at around 3:19 in the above link, it's like a shiatsu massage for my weary soul. Seriously. It's like the tiny hairs on my back stand on end, and the sun breaks through the clouds and for four seconds, all is right in my corner of the world. Who else can hit notes like that? I mean, apart form Mariah Carey? :naughty:

     

    And you may have noticed, he's adding more and more of those into his show. Sigh. I could gush about this for hours, but I shall quietly leave (and go blast those clips you linked to...)

     

    Oh, and if Mika wants to turn into a real diva and insist that someone pick all the brown M&Ms out of his backstage candy dish pre-show, I'm totally up for the job. :roftl:

    Well..I cant exactly sight read so..I'm a self-taught pianist. I can play stuck in the middle, grace kelly, ring ring, billy brown, over my shoulder and erase. All by hearing them. Oh and love today of course!

    what channel is it on?? I live in UK but I have sky which has every channel possible I should think, I found a Muslim and Hindi channel the other day, and there are adult channels too, which I have never been on and never want to seeing as they are parentally locked anyway....

     

    Well..its in a Lebanese channel called LBC

    well..its this Lebanese version of Amercian idol, pop idol and such...except its also a reality show, where all the contestants stay together in one house and cameras follow them around everywhere and stuff...its pretty addictive to most people I know...not to me though...my friend told me about Mika's appearance...so I'm just gonna tune in on that day. So...to all who care..he's gonna be in Lebanon tomorrow...maybe even today!!!
