  1. Hello! I know that there already is a thread quite similar to this, but this one is something different. This thread is for all you self-taught musicians like myself who cannot read a note of music. I made this thread to see how many more of you out there are like me and most importantly, like Mika!

You can talk about the instrument you taught yourself to play, what inspired you and when did you find out you had natural talent. (Its talent because not everyone can just learn to play an instrument all by themselves).

So I'll go first. I'm a self-taught pianist, and to be really honest, I have no idea what inspired me to start playing music because I've been playing the piano ever since I was about 6 or 7. Obviously at the beginning, I was pretty crappy. But once I turned 11, I mastered the piano. I could play any song I heard. I've been playing covers of songs until recently, when I decided to write my own music instead of playing covers. At first, I was embarrassed to say that I was a self-taught pianist, because people would laugh when I told them that I couldn't read a note of music. So I kept it a secret. But once I stumbled upon one tall, skinny, wacko, 24 year old (then 23) Lebanese/ American bloke who goes by the name Mica, that all changed. I was finally able to be proud of who I am. A self-taught pianist, who can't read music!

  2. Whatever size they are, however long and strange his toes are, I still LOVE his feet! (and everything else!):wub2::blush-anim-cl:

But I heard he's kinda embarrassed of his feet..in one video, his foot or leg was hurt and there was this medical person examining it, and Joe Whiley was recording him and when she focused the camera on his feet, he went like :"Hey!!!!! Whatchoo think you're doing???!!", in this loud, squeaky voice. Then he pulled his feet away. :bleh:

  3. I think the natural state is a bit curlier than this. the way he runs his fingers through it makes it look straighter. if I do that mine is quite straight too, whereas if I let it dry without touching it it's really curly. curly hair is a whole art :naughty:

Very extremely true. It's only us curly-haired people that know how to deal with such art:thumb_yello:

There are of course, different types of curls, but the ones that I have are just like Mika's..its wavy hair that can be curled if you wash it and let it dry all by itself. Once you brush or run your fingers through your hair, the curls will open up, and your hair is back to being plain wavy/ straight with a bit of ringlets at the back and ends.

Anyways..sorry for going off topic!!! Bring on the pictures!!:punk:

This one makes me wanna grab him, cover him in kisses, hug him SOOOO tight and profess my love to him for the rest of my life!:wub2::blush-anim-cl:

And to all those gig cryers or criers or how ever you spell it..I cried at my Mika gig too...but..no one seemed to notice:biggrin2:

I couldn't BELIEVE I was there in the first place and then to see him walk onto the stage like that....dressed up in his white shirt and pants with the golden jacket...I nearly died. Like...literally DIED.

I cried the whole night AND like...a month after:bleh: Just tears of joy and disbelief...no wailing!

    (first Mika gig...don't blame me:mf_rosetinted: )
