  1. Yaayyy another Californian! Socal, San Diego to be exact, I live a couple hours from L.A and I can't drive yet but I would so ride a bus for two hours to see Mika, despite my hate for public transit...anything for Mika lol.

ah, San Diego. Thats cool. I've only been to SD once. It was for a family reunion in Chula Vista so i pretty much only saw the hotel :sneaky2:...oh and the USS Midway. :aah:

  2. I really want to do some traveling in the next few years, maybe someday I can meet some of you in person at a Mika concert! That would be a dream come true:aah:

Hey! Im Lucy, Im from Cali too! :pinkbow: Maybe I'll see ya at future Mika shows! Are you NorCal or SoCal?

Im from the bay area but have been going to LA for the last couple of tours so I can hug and kiss all the Cali MFCers i possibly can. :huglove:

    Hi again, Ellen!

    You found us!

I've had a traveling jones for a long time myself, I can totally relate. Haven't been to my first Mika concert yet but looks like I might be headed to Montreal next February, so I am very excited. Did you catch the Nutella gig recently?

ooh yay another west coast-er heading to montreal? I've never been to the east coast. :aah: So its exciting.

  3. My son went to his best friend's birthday party there & they had a blast !

What do you like? Museums ? Food? Shopping?

Cool, it's definitely going to be on my list of things to do.:thumb_yello:

Oh gosh. I don't even know. I want to see some thing's that are distinctly Montreal, that I can only get in that city...that are still exciting. Im not the type to admire old architecture. :aah: haha Unique shopping and food is always good. I am a pastry cook so like a must go to bakery/dessert location would totally be my thing!

...just as a gig outfit i'll have to find something a bit more fashionable, and warm at the same time. or get changed at the venue. :bleh:

Haha I was thinking about that as an option. :bleh:

  4. My biggest concern was how to dress over there too... and stay cute :pinkbow:

It gets lowest 45 degrees over here in winter, so I'm in for a surprise.

I pretty much only wear spring dresses and flatform shoes.

Oh I feel a shopping spree coming on. :teehee:

Exactly. I have 9 months to find a pink adult sized fashionable snow coat. I've only found pink in child sizes....like WTF?

I still need to do research on what I might want to see while im over there. So far i've added just Cabaret Mado to my list.

  5. I am really going to try and get to this show. I just sounds like it'll be too cool.

For now I'm just going to store away my tax return and cross my fingers.:crossed:

I mentioned this to my sister and she was like "HAH, Lucy, Do you know where Montreal is?"

Im like, "yea. East coast. I know, i'm gonna die"

Im from California and have never really been outside of it. So I cant imagine east coast winter. :aah:

Ahhaha! Same interaction for me the first time I "met" him.:teehee:

I was lucky enough to have a one on one with him in his dressing room, he asked for me by name, grabbed me closer to talk, was super warm and sweet.....and I completely blew it by just :biggrin2::biggrin2: at him until he left  I must have looked like a psycho.

I did talk to him a few times later on in the night with everyone else (I was in the choir) and it was fine but I still cannot belive i blew that moment.

  7. Hey, Americans,

-11 F this morning...-30 with the wind chill...

    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

How about where you all are?

    Dang

No real signs of winter where I live. It's been weird, it was too sunny during the holidays. :dunno: Haha I live just outside SF.

  8. I have Kukulakuku, I picked it up at a shop. But today I was looking into getting a Kukulakuki. No harm in tryin, right?

They have my running in circles though. :sneaky2:

San Francisco Swatch said the only shop to get the limited edition in the area is in San Jose. I already put my name on the list over a week ago at that store for a watch but I called again. They said they don't have a Kukulakuki only Kukulakuku. But if they have the non limited watch why haven't they called me? Well I guess they were trying to get me the limited one to begin with. So now i guess its just a waiting game, see if they were able to get one.

No biggie if I don get one. I love the blue one I have but I needed to atleast try.

  9. My local Swatch said they have four mika watches in store. But then he said those were reserved already. But he put me on the list for the next order and said mine should come in soon. I'm #2 in the next order list! Should have called earlier to reserve! Oh well! Yay!!
