I'm not overly excited, but it's a step in the right direction

The sheer fact that Mika has burst out of his bubble, that was holding him in france/italy is a bonus to me, he's remembered there's a whole world out there waiting for him hopefully this is the first of many things to come to help with his promo Just waiting for news that it's a no for the voice

So happy Mika is doing this, it's a really good idea and hope it brings him success around the world again,:mikalove: it's just a pity he has had to do this himself.

Considering there was a piano on the streets of Milan and now Antwerp, and Mika is doing a commercial campaign for the album, well....

They are just reciting the Pure Charts article inaccurate and so a sentence in conjunctive becomes a fact

 

Plus, if he said some minutes before he doesn't know yet than he shouldn't have made his final decision already, doesn't make sense to say something like that if he would have decided for "no".

 

So after all we don't know much more

According to some French news outlets, they say he won't be doing the voice next year

My gut feeling is it is yes, he was coy like this when asked about another xcraptor, so i fear the worst i'm not religious but i'm praying i'm wrong

when he was asked last week in Montreal, he said he didn't know... that was the same day he did that interview

i'm sure he will have already decided weeks ago what he's doing, guess it's all down to wether he really wants to promote his music and the album, or that money talks again and he pushes the album to a side project, i'm sure they will have offered him more to do it

But if he does he can't expect his fans to still be waiting around, there are lots who have already had enough and moved on, sad times indeed

My personal feeling is no, but guess we need to hold on a bit longer...

He did the interview with the 7 jours reporter just in front of us while we were waiting to meet him, he was inside a tent so couldn't hear what he was saying... Wish I did now...

So this contradicts what Mika is supposed to have said to a fan and radio station:blink:

"The artistic work that my sister Yasmine and I did on the watches has influenced the cover of my latest single and I believe that it will also influence the one [cover] of the next album."

So, he's working on the cover of the new album...can we think that he's at a good point with all the other aspects of the album??

Hasn't there been quite a lot of talking about MIKA being forgotten - in many countries !? If it's true - I do hope this change very soon now ...

Yes I believe it to be true, and its not the fault of these countries either:wink2:

And yes I hope so too, he just has to get the promotion of this album right:thumb_yello:

I'm sure he will promote himself properly, also in UK! Together with the new alb. I expect his book to be released, also in English - as long as he plans to get it out in Nov. as well I hope nobody will have the chance to say that they have forgotten MIKA ...

I posted a quick link on FB, Mika was at Rouge FM radio station (107,3) and was interviewed.

 

He said he is finish writing the album, he just needs to produce it.

He said he always brushes his teeth before going on stage, it helps him to be less nervous.

He said some people want to die with clean underwear, but he wants to die with clean teeth.

He's going to meet up with Garou tonight

He refuses to call "The Voice", "Ze Voice"

He talked about one night he went out to this bar in Paris with Florent & Garou. They stayed there til the early hours of the morning

 

He LOVES Montreal and wants to move here.... though i'm pretty sure he says that when he visits many cities

I thought he said Montreal was too cold

But this is Mika, always little lies

I really wish they would stop making comments about the album possibly coming out in November. I pretty sure that is not going to be happening. January or February would be more like it, I think.

I would be :excite: if it was November, but my only concern would be, he needs to do a lot of promo/air miles this time around, and he has xcraptor to do

I've been told that some UK radios are playing it.

Well I haven't heard it on my local radio station, and they always play Mika.

In a way it does go with the song, if you think of boom, as being a gun going off. He's shooting people.

It sort-of reminds me of earlier in his career, if anyone remembers. During his concerts there used to be a shadowplay scene, only short, but there was a gun, it shot a piece of material, with (I think) "bang", something like that. My memory sucks. But for some reason this video has made me remember that.

So it doesn't go with the song in terms of, two lovers getting it on, but it does if you think of the boom of a gun through the ages. The common denominator seems to be various types of guns.

The scenes can be confusing, but what I'm wondering now is that maybe it's deliberately done that way.

If you think about it, the song is in French which could put people off listening to it if they can't speak French, but there is so much going on in the video, that the song becomes the background music. Then, while people try and decipher the various plots, the song enters the brain through the subconscious and won't leave. So it becomes a kind of brainwashing. It's pure genius.

It certainly stopped me listening to it Marilyn, i watched the video as a silent movie, no chance of it getting into my head,

but i do like some of the scenes though

Then i would love for him to do Sadlers Wells again, it was an amazing show :wub2:

It gives us hope that there will be a tour next year. Or maybe she is just helping with that special show.

Either way, it would be good.

i hope it's just for the special show, i was hoping for an acoustic tour, a simple setting as the NA tour in 2013, it was perfect

i thought we done with the big theatrical shows, lets just concentrate on the music/piano, intimate shows they are the best, i can't see the world tour as he put it, being big venues anyway.

I'm hoping Mika wrote this in English first, makes sense to me, then having it translated, therefore i hope it will be released in English for a bigger market abroad, can't see anyone being interested in buying a book in a language they can't read or understand,not even Mika fans wou....... what am i saying, i'm sure this has come out of writing the XL column, as he has been writing for them a lot longer than doing xcaptor
