  1. Who wants to see my pride and joy? :das:

(Yes, I can still be proud about something I aquired through not totally honest means, thank you very much :sneaky2:)

    P1070739.jpg

And you should be proud! Congratulations!!

Although my first thought was that it looks like tomato soup :bleh:

    Turn on Subtitles. :wink2:

Hurry up and get to 6,000. I no believe that you are still under 10,000.

    There are subtitles?

    Oh. I AM slow.

That give me an excuse to watch it again!

    Like I needed one.

...And I have officially decided that the only thing I don't like about MFC so far is the smiley limit. I like smileys :(

  2. Don't forget the part where you say something that offends/upsets another member and you feel terrible that they took it the wrong way, then you both discuss it and are all smoochy coochie from then on *pbs*

I KNOW I am going to have that problem. I am very good at putting my foot in my mouth so for anything stupid I ever say to anyone, I hereby apologize in advance.

    Part 3

    Hello :bye:

    Hi! :original:

    Oooooooh! DAAS FAN!!!

Feel free to complain to me... I feel your pain! I want to watch DAAS Kapital, but I'll just make do with my Big Gig stuff...

Did you get the new DVD with the Big Gig stuff on it? If you haven'tt, get yourself to an ABC shop ASAP!

No, I completely forgot that it was even out until they were talking about it on GNW last night! It's all I've been thinking about ever since but I can't buy it because I went and spent all my money on plastic jewellery to match my glasses :o Now I'm trying to decide if I will run out and get it next week or if I can wait until Christmas and ask my husband to get it for me...

Technically Orange doesn't have it either, but the nice man at Sanity said it was on the system and that they could order it in...

I bit my tongue when he said "You would think someone like Mika we would automatically order in..." :naughty:

I might have to go in there and propose to him... he's the most useful person I've met in there ever!

Ooh! Send him to my store! My Sanity guy is an ass. I went in and asked and he didn't even offer to order it in. He just grunted and said "We don't have it" :bash: Luckily JB had it in abundance. Yay for JB.

    It's gone!

    :tears:

I can't believe I never bidded on it! And it's gone!

    :(

  3. Haha !! Pammy , you are awesome !!! I love your humour !!!

    :lmfao:

Now go & pick up your husband ... before WE get into trouble !!!

Aw thank you! :blush-anim-cl: You're quite awesome yourself!

Ha ha, it's ok. I was only a teensy bit late. I did kind of blame it on Mika and he just rolled his eyes and said "Of course, I should have known" :naughty:

Oh, but just wanted to say... ALL BEATLES FANS!!!! What did you think of Wes doing "Get Back" on Aus Idol last night?

I usually hate anyone covering Beatles songs because what's the point? It's not like anyone could improve on the original but I LOVED it. I think it was just about the best performance on idol ever. I am so happy that he's in the final :punk: ...Now he just has to win...

Ah the first stages of MFC addiction, wait till you get withdrawals (i.e. fidgeting and restlessness accompanied with wondering "I wonder what so and so thought of that post" or "I wonder if a new blog has been posted" etc.), inability to log out and go to sleep even though it's 4am or later, "nesting" (i.e. sitting down with a supply of food and drinks and not budging for 12+ hours)... or worse considering paying an obscene amount of money for the internet at a cafe while you're out grocery shopping.

Heh, well the blog part has been going on for quite a while... For some reason I just didn't know that this place existed. I guess I am just extremely slow :bleh: The rest of it though I am anxiously awaiting!

zoidy, Nice to meet you! Thanks for finding the aussies. Hope you get settled in and we can get to know you better. :biggrin2: Have an awesome time.

    and Hiya everyone!

Hi! Nice to meet you too. I am having an awesome time and settling in quite nicely, I think :wink2:

  4. Your dog look like a cartoon!:naughty:

He´s very cute! My favourite pic is the first one! I think it's because of the angle! :wink2:

Your dog was destroying the Shrek's donkey?

    [/color]

Thank you! lol, yeah. I originally bought a Shrek, Donkey and a baby donkey and he's now killed all of them :emot-sad:

  5. Yay!!! Nice to see you in here Zoidy! (Would you prefer Zoidy or Pammy?) I'm on here in the daytime more than the evening, just cos of my family, but got things on today, so I'm not gonna be here long.

You are most welcome to call me Pammy but I really don't mind either way is fine by me:wink2:

I think I'll probably be on most during the day too. The husband kind of takes over the computer when he gets home from work... Speaking of which I really should go and pick him up... I should be half way there already. Oops. Oh well, he can wait a few more minutes :bleh:

I was in a musical black hole until Mika, and even now there's a whole lot of bands I don't know about, unlike when I was in my teens and it all seemed to just get into my brain by osmosis or something.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Mika that did it for me too. I remember when I first heard him thinking "I LOVE this...But it's on commercial radio, this isn't right...But I love it... How can this be?" Ugh, what a pretentious little music snob I was :bleh: I can't help but wonder what other good music I missed out on by refusing to believe any decent music was made after 1997 outside of what I already liked but as long as I didn't miss out on Mika I suppose I should be grateful.

    :roftl::roftl: Or both!

Yes, that does appear to be a distinct possibility at this point.

  6. Aww that's kinda sweet! Before everyone rushed to MFC, Mikasounds forum was the big thing. But it was kindof empty, so I switched over here, big difference!

Oh there is, trust me. :naughty:

But it's just when we get the "Zooommgg!111!11 ii luuuuuv mikerrrrr!"

Or when they ask why Mika is obsessed with Freddie Mercury. :naughty:

Oh and that was gonna be my username! Lucky I changed my mind. I guess I better not ask if it's pronounced Mike-a or Mee-ka then :roftl:

No really, you won't get any of that nonsense from me. I do try to refrain from making myself look like a complete idiot as much as possible. Partial idiocy is quite enough for me. :naughty:

    And also with you. leia3.gif

    Good Afternoonie y'all

Zoidy, sorry to say but you are right. You'll never be bored again. In fact you'll have to give up part of your life to maintain this fetish. :naughty:

    Hello My Mzeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :wub2:

Yep, I've pretty much figured that out... I just had to go out for an hour and the second I got home I was right back on here. Right now I am trying to convince myself to turn the computer off and do the housework. I suspect my family is either going to have to get used to living in filth or I'll have to learn to function without sleep.

  7. So what do you think of the MFC so far?

I like it! I usually like things that not a lot of people seem to be into so it's nice to be somewhere so big for a change... At the same time I'm not used to such a huge forum so it's a bit overwhelming, like I don't quite know where to jump in on all the other threads which is why I'm kind of hiding out in here until I meet more people I guess. lol, that probably sounds a bit silly but I'm like that :bleh:

I really like how friendly everyone is, there seems to be none of that 'pick on the new guy' stuff that seems to happen a lot on other sites.

  8. Ooh, so many pages! I am never going to be bored again:bleh: Thanks for all the welcomes!

Intriguing! So are you new to glasses?

I went outside to attempt to study a bit, but instead I watched Ambrose (my dog) dig a big hole, sit in it, get up, be pushed out of the way by Jack, who dug the hole bigger, sat in it, was pushed away by Ambrose, who dug it more, and then sat in it, over and over. They're half way to China now and both covered in dirt. Then I came back inside and decided to go through and decide which songs to put on my mp3 player and which to shun, but somehow I ended up just listening to kooks songs, when they are already on there  And then I had a peanut butter sandwich and talked to my friend who is getting ready to see the Herd tonight, and is very excited, even though I don't at all share her excitement, and refused to go with her/listen to her stupid Herd music because she won't listen to my brilliant Kooks music :naughty:

Now I'm sitting here writing in pointless detail what I did today. The panic mode of "I have an exam I will likely fail tomorrow" has yet to set in completely

Yeah and I'm pretty sure I don't actually need them. Even the optometrist said my vision was fine but he couldn't figure out why my eyes have been killing me for the last month and making me look like this --> constantly. He told me to get some of those cheap magnifying glasses from the chemist for reading & the computer. They're maybe helping a teensy bit but I'm worried that if I really don't need them that they'll just screw my eyes up even worse in the long run. On the other hand I really like wearing them because they are pretty. :blush-anim-cl:

    glasses.jpg

Kooks you say? This is totally embarrassing but I don't know any of their music. I swear I am in such a musical black hole. I went for years and years listening to the same old bands that I've liked since the mid nineties. I am finally, like in the last 18 months or so, getting around to listening to different music again. I must go and check them out. God, that is such an embarrassing admission.

Yes! Not sure where those who have bought it already got it, but JB hifi definately

    That's where I went.

Me too. They didn't have it at Sanity though, even though their website said that they were getting it  to them. JB is better anyway, Sanity was just closer.

I really should educate you in the ways of DAAS Bianca... they really are funny... if you can get past the swearing.. and the occasional (if it's Dead and Alive it's more than occasional) mentions of necrophilia... and the swearing...

    *huggles Paul*

Yaaaaaay! There are DAAS fans here! I love you.

Finally somewhere I can complain about how DAAS Kapital STILL not being on DVD and not being met with a blank stare and a "What? Who cares?"

  9. Oh my god, you are allergic to bees and you went near one for photographic purposes???

Yeah I guess it is kind of asking for trouble. They just look so cool in photos though! I'm sure if I end up in hospital I'll change my tune :bleh:

Aww, very nice prowly cat picture, very nasty nickname. Don't you listen to her Ellie, you've got a beautiful face :sneaky2:

lol, it was given to her in love, I promise! When my Mum first brought her home I took Oliver, that's my son, over to meet her and the first things he said was "Mum, there is something wrong with that cat. She has a flat face!" :roftl: Then the name stuck. She is just about the cutest cat in the world though.

You're dog is SO cute. And that photo is really good. :thumb_yello:

The bee photo is awesome! I love it. :)

    Thanks! :biggrin2:

  10. Hello zoidy! It's great to meet you!

    Hurrah! Another Aussie. :biggrin2:

Hi! Nice to meet you too!

:woot_jump: Hello Pammy !!! Yay ! You made it here !!

Don't worry, you'll get to know us all soon enough ... we're all mad ! :insane:

Three are from Melb./Vic. ... & tho' I live in NSW now ... I grew up in Melb.

lol, well I am known as the insane one amongst my friends so I'm sure I'll feel right at home!

Ooh, cool I was wondering if there were others from Melbourne here. Yay for not being alone!

    HEY! :original::groovy:

Just stick around and you'll see we talk about everything and nothing :naughty:

    How was your day?

That sounds good to me! My day has been spent trying to decide whether or not my new glasses are any good. I have come to the conclusion that I like them because they are colourful but I'm yet to be convinced that they are helping my vision at all which means that I will continue to keep the eye drop industry in business for at least a few more weeks by going through more bottles than could possibly be healthy. Oh yes, you will soon learn what an exciting life I lead :bleh:

  11.

    Copia2deDSC08027.jpg

    I wub my kitten!

Ooh, your kitty is so beautiful!! That's a great photo.

    P1070601.jpg

That looks SO cool. I love bee photos but I'm allergic so I'm always scared to get too close I took an ok one the other day but it's nowhere near as good at yours.

This is my doggy Charlie murdering Donkey :naughty:

My Mum's cat Ellie (aka Flat face)

    flatface-1.jpg

    And my bee photo.

    bzzzzz.jpg

  12.

    Ooh photo thread! Fun! thanks:wink2:

Yes...I PROMISE I will post in the Aussie thread, I just had a quick look and I have no idea what anyone is talking about but I promise I will say hello in there as soon as I have finished here :thumb_yello:

What a beautiful cat - why do folk DUMP them - why not take them

to a rescue centre and say they have found them - at least then

they would be safe. A deaf cat left alone would be in so much more

    danger!!

I know, it made me so angry. Apparently the neighbours of the people who owned him took him to the shelter because they wondered why he was always outside all of a sudden and the owner said that they didn't want him because he can't hear. I have no idea why that would be a problem, it's not as if cats ever listen anyway! I suppose it's their loss though because he is the sweetest & funniest little kitty and I'm sure he has a better life with us than he would have with people like that anyway.

  13. Ooh, I love it here already. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming. Don’t worry about me… I’m always way too shy to begin with but I’ll be good once I get to know everyone and once I have a chance to spend a decent amount of time having a good look around, it seems I am only ever online for 5 minutes at a time lately  I will check out both of the threads you mentioned, chickadee. Thanks! Oh, and I think my Mika loving husband is kind of on his way too being just a tolerating husband too... He just saw me on here and said "Mika, AGAIN?" :naughty:

Lollipop Love- lol, well I don’t know whether any avatars I make will be worth taking but you are welcome to yoink whatever you want from me! I have plenty and I’m always making more. Is there anywhere on here to post that sort of thing?

babspanky- Of course! I love talking about my kitty. For now, I’ll try to post a photo of him. I’m still trying to figure out how everything works on hopefully it will work! He is a year old. We got him from the RSPCA in March. His last owners dumped him when they found out that he was deaf :mad3:

    bowienew.jpg

  14. Hi! I’m new here. Before I say anything I need to thank racinghourse83 and dcdeb for helping me fix my account up. I joined a few weeks ago but I couldn’t get my account activated and they helped me out because they rule :wink2:

Ok, so my name is Pam, Pamela, Pammy… Your choice but most people call me Pammy. I live in Melbourne with my Mika loving husband and 4 year old son who runs through the house on a daily basis singing Love Today & Lollipop. We’ve trained him well!

The main things I love in my life apart from the two I just mentioned are my crazy deaf cat, Bowie; my new Nikon D90 camera; making icons on Photoshop (although I am new to that and therefore pretty crappy at it) and of course Mika, oh and Jarvis Cocker from Pulp and Nick Cave... Obviously I have a bit of an obsession with tall, skinny musicians :bleh:

Anyhow, I am a bit shy so I may be a bit slow to get posting but I am happy to be here and very excited to get to know everyone.
