Yeah, I almost got another copy of Icon once. My ex-friend's boyfriend had it and was going to copy it but then they broke up and she turned into a giant cow so it all fell through I still check every second hand music shop I come across but no luck yet...

My Mika-hearts bracelet was $5, I got another rainbow charm bracelet for $5 same day, and I got a different charm bracelet for $2.50 once, and they brought that exam sme bracelet back now and it's $10

Really? Cool. I have never seen anything decent at a $5 sale. No, actually that's not entirely true, once I got this big chunky yellow & orange necklace, I couldn't quite decide if it was hideous in a good or bad way so I bought it just in case I decided to like it but then it broke before I even got it home so it didn't matter in the end. Next time maybe I'll have a closer look and see whta I can find.

i was rather upset last night after that program and my closest friend moved to australia this year.

what really upset me was how they were saying "last one out of new zealand, turn out the light' and things like that.

I think it's understandable for New Zealanders to be annoyed with us sometimes. We're forever stealing your famous people and taking the credit for them... But that's just the media, the rest of us generally aren't such thieving bastards

I only had Dead and Alive and The Last Concert for years, andI only got D&A cause a friend copied it for me... another Mikamite, mouselle, has tapes of D&A and The National Theatre, and I copied them onto DVD for her and copied my own version... though my National Theatre one doesn't work!

All I've got is a few episodes of DAAS Kapital on video and the book. I used to have Icon and a whole lot of cassettes of them that I'd taped when they used to be on this old show Saturday Afternoon Fever that was on Triple J in the early 90s but I lost them one time when I moved house

Not Spicks and Specks? I was going to ask it anyone else watched Spicks and Specks... It was a "best-of" night. It finished with a bit from an episode where they all got up and sang Time Warp and Adam Hills ripped his clothes off at the end and turned out to be in a Frank'n'furter outfit!

I always forget that it's on. I swear I've only remembered it about twice this year, I keep meaning to go and check if I can get podcasts of it.

Harsh! I love Diva, I am addicted to their bracelets ... when they are half price.

I hate it when they have posters in the window that say EVERYTHING $5!!! and then you go in, load up and only then notice the fine print on the poster that says something like "by everything, we mean only the really ugly stuff that no one ever buys, everything else still costs more than you want to pay for it". That damn sign has gotten me about 3 times.

Is anybody on here with Optus for their mobile phone who wouldn't mind me ringing them every now and then? I'm with Optus, get free minutes, but slowly all my friends have changed phone companies. If I don't find some other people I want to talk to with Optus, I may be changing too...

I'll show you a photo from my dog next to my guinea pig, and now you can make a comparison the size of a guinea pig! My dog is just a little bit bigger than a "normal" cat!

 

The problem with the all monitors is what you just said! Specially when you want to print something and you go to a store to do that, and the final work is with a very diferent colour!

The solution is to buy something to calibrate your monitor, at least you can see correctly all the corrections you might do!

Wow, he is pretty big! I guess I never think about it when I see them in the pet shops that those ones are babies and will get bigger.

This monitor in particular is pretty useless. My normal one died last night so I had to hook up the spare one which is way too dark and makes everything look slightly blue I'm hoping that one of my husband's friend will let us have one of his. He has about 50 of them so surely there should be at least one tat he doesn't need. Otherwise I'll just have to buy a new one.

lol, yeah you're probably right about them being too big.

My cats used to be scared of my rat. If they got too close he'd pull their tails into his cage and bite them.

I'm glad the photo looks better like that. After I did it, I realised that the colours on the monitor I'm using are not quite right so I wondered if maybe it didn't look to everyone else the way it appears to on my computer

I've never seen it on YouTube... it was videoed by MTV, so I would assume they'd have the footage of it... along with the rest of the concert we were promised but never got...

Anyhow, my monitor finally died but the spare one isn't as bad as I remembered. It'll do for now. At least since it's smaller I don't have to worry that it might fall over when the cat jumps on it. In fact perhaps that's what broke the last one. I'm pretty sure monitors and kitty fur are probably not the best combination.

I really have to comment these two photos!

The first one, I have to say that my favourite detail is the colour of the sky, but in general the entire photo has strong colours.

The second photo, look like an image from a dream! I really like the photo, but maybe you could try give a little bit more of contrast on photoshop! But this is just my opinion!

Meh... I feel crappy. Husband had a bad day at work so he keeps complaining. I went shopping planning on buying nothing and ended up with a new watch, shoes and clothes that I really couldn't afford, even though they were all cheap, I'm supposed to be saving! And my eyes are driving me insane and giving me a haeadache. So yes, I am full of complaints today

Well, yes I did but I generally think that I am way more boring than most people, although that might just be because I'm around myself all the time

I used to routinely get up at 6am so I could get an early start on the forum and particularly so I could catch up with all the Europeans in the Oldlings thread. (Don't know if you've heard about this one, but it's a thread for people 30 and older. They talk A LOT!) Since moving to this house, it just doesn't seem to work the same way.

I have a feeling that I'm going to have quite a few early mornings from now on. I'm usually up at 6 anyway to get husband to work but if today is anything to go by I should gt used to 5am starts.

I have seen the oldlings thread. I should be in there but every time I look at it I have no idea what's going on. Of course that's what I said about this one too and now I can't seem to shut up

We do have a spare monitor but it's way too dark and the colours are all wrong. I think we just need a new computer.

Yes, I think the MFC withdrawls have well and truely kicked in. I've been awake since 5am and spent the next hour lying in bed telling myself that I really SHOULD go back to sleep and not go on the computer so early but by the time I'd convinced myself it was time to wake up so I should have just gotten out of bed in the first place
