hi guys

 

i was wondering if anyone has seen/ got a really clear version of mika's trumpet solo which can be used a text message alert. i'm really bored of my one (a little kid singing 'aye aye yuppie) and have yet to find a better alert. i thought i would be funny to have the trumpet solo.

unless anyone has any other good ideas for an alert?

Hahaha At least you have a short story! As with everything it seems I'm a fan of, I have very long story's, most spanning a year or more!! How I became a Mika fan spanned about a little less than a year, about a school year.

We were joking around saying that we should try it, and pose for the paps, but I don't think that they were buying it . They were quite clued up as to who was "someone" .

 

A friend passed us info on where we could get a pair of tickets, but it wasn't very easy to get them. Lots of demand!!

Oh. Alright then.

We had to create a poster for a concert in Graphic comm., and I was exited for this since I was doing it for a real concert, unlike others who had to make up their own stuff. Why did it have to be on a school night, then I could of gone as well.

We got to print in 11X17 (?) so after being displayed I got to bring it home. It's now hanging by my desk, and (sadly) is my only Mika poster.

Can digital art work go in this thread? I can't really draw much but i have a lot of digital work

From what I know digital work is accepted here, but if it's a photoshoped thing then I don't think so. I have a Mika concert poster I created in class but I don't think I can post it here because it's photoshop and not "art" in the drawing sense.... I hope that made sense.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but where can someone find the shirt he is wearing in Kick-Ass? I've seen him wear it in other pictures too. It's the white collared shirt, with a spikey/pointy looking collar and cuffs. I thought that looked so cool!

Mika, stop cutting your hair uber short. Longer = better and makes you look younger (Not that I think you look like a pensioner or anything...)

 

And I much prefer Mika in ordinary, day-to-day clothes as well rather than the theatrical ones. He still looks fine, but I think the normal clothes make him look hotter

Funny you should say you fell in love with Grace Kelly Mika, I fell in love with Q Awards Mika ft. straight hair (my god, I don't think he's ever been that sexy!)

Is he? I mean...I WILL never EVER forget the first time I saw him on tv, I thought he is a very weird guy who looked kindof old. And he does, when he puts his hair off his face.

*snarffles* When I first saw him on the Graham Norton show (BBC America, it was old) I just thought, Oh, another music guest, maybe for once it will be good. XD And then I thought he was mad! And I thought the song (Love Today) was ok/good. (It's now my favorite!) and my Mom said he looked cute and I said, "I guess he's ok" (I think I said that...) Man, have things changed! Who knew that 2(? 1 1/2?) years latter (Wow has it been that long since I first saw him?? I've only been a fan though for a little over a year now). I would... well be here.

Despite this not being the sort of film I would normally rush to go and see, it was really good. There is some blood and gore, but not an excessive amount. The language was a tad excessive though, I thought. Especially coming from such a young girl, but I suppose it fits in with the context of the film.

 

Walking down the red carpet with all the cameras flashing in front of us was surreal....it was a truly decadent moment!!

 

How where you able to go to the premier?

30 is a scary age. I don't like to think about it.

Once you pass it I guess it's okay, but getting there is going to be scary.

Hahaha, just a couple of hours ago I was telling my Mom we should go to Plymouth for the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower (We are decedents, my great etc. grandfather) in 2020 and then I was like, "Oh my gosh, can you belive I will be 27?! I'll be almost 30 in 10 years! What happened to being 17 in ten years?!?!" And then my Mom said how old she, and my sisters would be. it was scary.

That's what I've been saying! May 3? WTF? Christine pointed out to me

that the entire soundtrack is being released 29 March so people who want

the single NOW can buy the whole soundtrack now, which is maybe not a

bad marketing ploy. But how many will do that? By the time the single is

actually available, people will have moved on to the next new thing. I don't

get it.

I want to try on that scarf and see how I look in it..... It's starting to grow on me. But I still say it looks a bit silly on him. But I cheer him on for wearing it.

Why oh WHY was it on a school night.

So the movie wasn't that gory? I was afraid of that because people keep saying that. I think I'm going to see it no matter what, I'm NOT missing my possible only chance of hearing one of Mika's songs in a theater, one made for the movie!

BTW: What movies where his other songs in? In that video he said some of his other songs where in some other movies. I want to see them now!

See, that's what I mean -- there's nothing exceptional about how Mika looks

in those photos. Well, I think he always looks exceptional

but I mean there's nothing exceptional about how he's dressed.

 

Ho hum, just another good-looking guy in some regular clothes.

 

When he wears something quirky or unconventional like the pompom

scarf or the crinkly jacket, it sets him apart, makes a statement that

he's different. I kinda like that. He wears clothes so well, he

really CAN wear just about anything and get away with it...

but I would hate to see him in tailored suits and designer jeans all the

time -- I much prefer to see him in something that shows a little character,

a little quirkiness or whimsy, even if it is just the occasional offbeat

scarf or pink bowler or feathery cummerbund thingamabob (wish I knew the right

word for what that is! LOL!). JMO.

1. KA kinda feels like a song that's been written in 3 days...I mean it IS very good, amazing, but it's pure simple pop. so I believe him.

Yes actually, but not last night. I've picked up this bad cold all the Londonites have had while going to the Scandinavian dates and queueing in the cold.

 

 

 

It was surprisingly good! It's very well written. My only complaint was that it was unnecessarily gory in parts, but if you like blood and gore then it's right up your alley.

 

It was enjoyable though, I think it will be a box office success.

 

 

 

Nope, that car is a prop from the movie. It was set up at the end of the red carpet by the entrance.

I loved our red carpet entrance though, rain and all . It was funny to see the paps standing there with their cameras in hand, and feel in our flesh how the celebs feel when they walk on these things, it was very surreal. Not quite sure why they didn't take pictures of us and make us pose though , maybe they didn't recognise us

He looked very good (despite the pompons).

 

 

 

I LOVED the movie. Much better than I was expecting it to be! It was really good. And I felt so incredibly proud when the song came on, knowing that he had done it, and that he was sitting there listening to it.....I hope that he felt very proud as well.

Oh and we also saw the same Boyzone guy that we ran into at Belfast airport, he couldn't believe it when Bab told him about that, I bet you he thinks that we're stalking him

He seemed as shy and sweet as he ws when we saw him in Belfast, and was just walking around looking kinda "lost". I told him that I loved the Boyzone special the other night and he seemed to like that. He's really lovely.
