  1. Yes, Bojana, He looks very cute. But I was always irritated by the fact that some people cant manage with pixels and spoil all the video. It was such a cute vid, but watching these overlongered faces - :crybaby: And it is not the only good video that was spoiled.

Idea! Whan I have time I will try to make it better in Photoshop.

edit: better? If only I knew what the original size has to be! I did it just by guesswork

Awww, these snaps did our DA

But I'm sure you'll improve them of course. :teehee:

  2. You're so haaaaaaaaaaaapy :aah:

I wish I had a photo with him being so near :wub2:

I would cut us together and bewitched with some voodoo magic :blush-anim-cl:

for eternal friendship, it's not what you had thought!

Hey, you can clearly see my grumpy face behind him. :roftl:

That's cos I've tried to approach him for the second time cos I wasn't so satisfied when he spoke to me and Keti there, but I failed. :aah:

And suddenly this pic appeared thanks to Mellody. :biggrin2:

  3. Dostoyevsky and all the Russian authors always have an hard time with me.

I don't know why, I don't get involved in their stories.

    it's like...they're cold or something.

But someday, I need to challenge myself and read something like "War and Peace" and then I'll probably change my mind.

p.s. currently reading Orwell's "Homage to Catalonia"... is really a good book. I like Orwell's way of writing and this book is really a vivid portrait of Spain during the civil war.

Maybe you should try with "Anna Karenynna" before "War and Peace"?:wink2:

I'm professionally into books but when I was in Highschool "War and Peace" was pretty boring to me due to Tolstoy's extensive description of the war.:aah::naughty:

I loved Tess of the D'Ubervilles by Hardy...

I love Hardy's way of writing and the book is a good mixture between clichès and innovation ( for the 19th century, of course!)

    That is a great book.

Yes, and I also love Polansky's film and two English TV serials.:wub2:

  4. :teehee: My mum had that as the ring tone on her phone for ages...

    Nice collection!

I have a few more suggestions:

*points at the last one* That's one version of course, but Jeff Buckley did an AMAZING version, and of course Leonard Cohen wrote this masterpiece..

Mika has to do a cover of that song..

Awww, Jeff Buckly :wub2: What an amazing cover and singer

I'm not such a big fan of Cohen too, even though I was at his gig in Belgrade last year.

oh crap! :mf_rosetinted: now everybody knows we are almost 25 yo.:mf_rosetinted:

girl,i owe a vinyl record of talking heads, called "the name of this band is Talking Heads" and i think it´s the last one in the world :aah:. it doesn´t play, but anyway... what about The Byrds?? i SO LOVE THEM. more than beatles btw... and D Bowie... oh my...

have you said Jefferson Airplane??? :fangurl:

i can´t stand leonard cohen. and i tried. since i found out he was janis joplin´s lover, (i love janis joplin more than any other singer in the world, includding mika, sorry boss) i tried to listen to him... but i dislike his voice too much :aah:

Yes, they're among my favourites :swoon:

I have a suggestion too. Mika used to like Nirvana, and I always thought he could do a great cover of "About the girl" :blush-anim-cl: Not the version of Sugababies though :roftl:

  5. Oh he looks so cute :aah:

so cute that makes me fangurl :roftl::roftl:

Wooow, it's a pic from his Berlin gig :boing:

I was there and have a totally random wird photo weird with him. :lmfao:

    25hft6u.jpg

We both look like vampires :roftl:

  6. Age doesn't matter when you're young at heart :cheerful_h4h: I'm also not a teeny youngster anymore, but when I heard TT is touring again this summer all over Europe, it was like I was 16 again that day :pbjt:

Cool performance, but it stops at +/- 3 minutes. Here's another version

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClTfBil-_1A

They've always been buddies, they still were in 2006 and they still are now.

You can feel the magic on stage. Would they bring this version of Back for good this summer ? I don't think everybody will accept it, but no problem for me :punk:

Thanks for your explanation and the other link. :naughty:

When they started they career I was about 30 lol:roftl: And when I watch their videos from that time, I also feel like I'm a student or something. To be honest, I always imagine them from that boyish age :fangurl:

But I'm aware that they've changed a lot and they sound better and more mature to me now than back then.:teehee:

Otherwise I hate boy bands except TT. It's a bit strange. :aah:

  7. Are we showing our age??:mf_rosetinted:

I have vinyl records of Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Harry Nilsson (my first record ever) Roxy Music, David Bowie, Joy Division, XTC, Queen, Adam Ant...and hundreds more...quite diverse tastes over the years:blush-anim-cl:

OK I will be quiet now too.

Yes, me too. I also love Nick Cave, Brian Ino, Iggy Pop, Jefferson Airplane... :wub2:

And let's don't talk about our age :aah:

  8. Wonderful news! :mf_lustslow: Have you ever seen them live? How long do you love them?

Unfortunately I haven't:sad: But I follow them from the begining cos I'm a pretty old lady:naughty:

Absolutely ! He's the best, the cutest, the highest hugg-me factor, a real life teddy bear :wub2:

Girls, have you seen this performance? He looked so hot here.:wub2:

Mark Owen lives near me. And I see him sometime when I'm late for school. And he waved and smiled at me when my mum stopped to let him cross the road. :biggrin2: Just sayin :mf_rosetinted:

No kidding  Tell me more about it. Cos I still have his pic on my wall when he was much younger than today. :swoon:

  9. Why is everyone freaking out over the catsuit?

Back in the 70s even I was wearing one, in my teens, and they weren't weird or kinky. Even Elvis Presley wore them!

I suggest you all watch the movie Velvet Goldmine, with Ewan MacGregor in. Thats the kind of catsuit Mika was possibly wearing.

Can't see what all the fuss is about!

    Agreed :thumb_yello:

I really like to see him in this suit, maybe he looks better than Halle Berry:aah:

  10. redant.gif BUMP! . . . and thanx.

I like it very much indeed. :wub2:

Think that his distinction between nice and polite has sense, cos he writes about supressed anger beneath the surface of your "smiling face". That's how he feels about meaning of this world and I can agree with that.:biggrin2:

And that's very true, it's a very fake attitude sometimes. Then he speaks about having control, discipline and hard work in order to achive your goals.:wink2:

Very imaginitive, playful, witty and smart column, not only for fun even though it might look like that.:thumb_yello:

  11. Omg REALLY I sware, I´ve had tears in my eyes, I dunno why, I just made a tear. Such.. a big surprise, I can´t even define if it was more shocked or sad or angry or what :aah:

I KNEW THAAAAAT! :mf_rosetinted: I almost wrote I saw it somewhere in someone´s siggie, but then you told me you didn´t see her here, I really thought I´ma fool .... :crybaby: But I knew I know da girl, whole time :mf_rosetinted: Today in school I was completely UPSET like Mika has a girl :crybaby: And omg she is so beautiful I really thought she´s a famous model! .......... You got me... :mf_rosetinted:

Sorry whose thread is this? I don't get it.:roftl::naughty:

  12. Oh finally there's a TT fan! I've been their fan since last December and I bought Progress last week! I'm fan of Jason instead(but also Mark is not very bad...:biggrin2:)! No unfortunately I'm not going to see them in concert 'cause I don't live near Milan but I think they're great live! I'll buy The Circus cd very soon cause I love also their "old" songs! You must tell me how will be the concert in Germany!:wink2:

I'm TT fan too, especially Mark's Owen :wub2:

  13. I really appreciate that you wrote what you did, and I know how you struggle with your English!:huglove: It started to feel like saying that 'maybe he gets a little help in his writing' was almost like swearing in a church!:naughty:

It takes courage to dive in to a serious discussion when it's not held in your native language!:thumb_yello:

Oh I really agree with this!:thumb_yello:

Nice to see you're back btw, I hope we will see you here more often!:wub2:

We can say that we try our best :teehee:

  14. oh thank you,but still, language is a big problem to me to explain things... we are like 300.000 fans and i´m sure each of us has her/his own opinion about EVERYTHING... and that is fantastic, that is what makes this forum a funny place to be in. but still,i don´t see which is the problem... mika was sometimes helped with his songs, wasn´t he?? and he IS a songwriter, not a column writer, that´s why i thought he could be helped with that,in the same way he was helped by jodie in his songs :dunno:

i think he´s very creative in everything he does, and i like it. and by the way.... this last column is very mikaish... it reminds me of his drunk tweets... :aah: :aah:

I get what you're talking about. Yes, Jodie has helped him with some lyrics...It' ok in this kind of work.

There's no problem at all as far as I'm concerned, but I'd really like to see the original article cos, like Lucrezia said, many nunaces could have been lost or changed their meaning in the translation.:thumb_yello:

maybe this is his first drunk column :mf_rosetinted:

That's why I'd like to see the original to make myself sure that it's not his first one :aah:

  15. Thanx for the column and the translations!!

And now, first of all,I want to apologize to bother all of you who are not interested in what i´m gonna say,but I need to do it…

Many posts ago, leire was commenting about some fans being mean with mika and those fans wanted to discredit mika. I feel obliged to talk about this cause I feel pointed up. It´s true,I don´t remember when,if it was the second column but it sounded to me quite odd, nothing to do with mika, and yes,I said THAT I THOUGHT he was helped, that he didn´t write it by his own. But,let me tell you all,EVERY WRITERS USE TO BE HELPED WTH THEIR CREATIONS as you can see reading the part when they say “thanks to”. Have I been disrespectful?? I don´t think so,I was just giving my opinion.

If you read all the columns in the English version you all can notice the the style change from one to others… maybe it´s the editor as someone said,I don´t know…

Anyway, i´m glad I belong to this community when all of us know each other. I´ve met lots of members here in real life, others in messenger, and I think we know who we are. People can say i´m not funny,or i´m not cool,or i´m… well,I don´t know, but hey I´M REAL!! many of you know me,i´ve spent the last year here, almost everyday, and you know my way of thinking.you know i´m proud of MFC and i´m proud of being an MFCer. First of all I admire mika for the human being he is and i´m gonna still being his fan. I don´t want to argue with anyone,i´ve never argued with anyone in real life and of course I don´t want to do it in a forum where all the people is here for the same reason: we all love mika and what he represents,so…..

To finish I want to say for the 876982769876 time that MY ENGLISH S*CKS and sometimes I may sound odd,but it´s not my intention….

I really want this discussion to finish,so I felt obliged to post this…..

Hey Rosa, at least I'm here to hear your opinion as I always used to.:wink2:

You don't need to be sorry about anything IMO cos to be honest I don't recall if you was questioning about the authenticity of Mika column at all :dunno:

Each writer makes their texts/books on their own, so probably does he and he is entitled to have someone who will help him with some stylistic solutions or give him some advice about the topic. But I think he usually chooses it himself.

Mika has been changing his style from blog to blog, or from column to column (humorous, ironical, lyrical, grotesque, sometime weird and sometimes very serious), which has been caused by the subject of writting and his attitude toward it,and sometimes it depended of his mood as well.

I think he's a very creative and has a genuine writer nerve which is a quality that only a few performes have today. :biggrin2:

  16. Indeed, what an idea…

Don’t get me wrong, SO am I. Or, more accurately, I have no reason at all to believe it’s not him, why would one?

But I thought you all knew some fans had stated they had serious doubts about the column’s authorship. I wouldn’t have brought such a sad topic up otherwise, my apologies.

Anyway... new one tomorrow (hopefully)! :boing:

    Yes:boing:

I never doubted of it .. even for a second :thumb_yello:

    Neither do I girls. :wub2:

  17. Thank you! :flowers2:

Except for those who do not believe it is actually him who writes them, I guess

Indeed.. Hope he is a hardworking boy on the new album as well :naughty:

    What an idea!! :boxed:

Do you think this kind of people exist?? :boxed:

Anyway.. if yes, they don't deserves attention :shun:

I'm quite sure that these columns writes Mika himself unlikely to the trashy updates on MS.:naughty: Who ever read his previous blogs on the old MS can compare his style.

of course it's not him. it's Melachi. obviously. :mf_rosetinted:

Of course, he became wiser with her. That's what I call positive dog effect over the people.:mf_rosetinted:
