I was just reading new posts in the Greg Wells thread and the 'out of place/off topic' thing I mentioned in the previous message - you responded to it . I was thinking of responding, but as I come from a former Soviet Union country myself, I decided not to, to avoid my opinion be rated as invalid .

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to MIKA as well . I discovered him by chance last August and yippeee!, found out he was giving his last UK gig in my town just a few weeks later. Can you imagine!?

I've also taken the last MIKAyear as puzzle,with all the buzzing (which I don't yet understand though ), the clown thing (solved ) and other stuff. I'm well amused and entertained , although my summer was busy and I couldn't go to any of the gigs, which was a shame . Plus I do have a life outside MFC and if he tweeted and vloged, I probably couldn't keep up .

You mentioned the possibility of being 'massively attacked'. I saw it today as a response to one of the posts (not mine) in the Greg Wells thread and is was so out of place and off topic . Although the whole thread is so off topic already .

Thanks . I usually distance myself from similar discussions, but sometimes things build up and I have to take the floor. For days I've been reading the same moaning in the Greg Wells and Loubi thread and all it boils down to is the frustration of some members who feel disappointed by the fact that the good old days when MIKA was taking his first steps in fame and was amazed by his success are over. He's an established singer with a vast fanbase and the original few no longer feel they matter the way they did before, they sense the lack of importance they as individuals carry now compared to four years ago. I believe that's the source of the bitterness .

I must admit I pretty much like the sentence you bolded, too . I've heard that so many times, as if it mattered when I discovered MIKA. But if being among the first fans gives someone the right to slash everything and everyone, I'm glad I don't have this burden on my shoulders .

My relatives have gone and I'm still alive , so I'm doing really well . It wasn't THAT bad after all. I even scored a night in the movies with my hubby, so it was a relatively good deal .
