  4. I edited the lyrics with what I hear from the latest gigs Bursting through a blood red sky A slow landslide and the world I've left behind It's enough to lose your head and disappear and not return again... When I fall to my feet Wearin' my heart on my sleeve All I see just amazes You are the port of my call You shot and leavin' me raw Now I know you're amazing 'Cause all I need Is the love you breathe put your lips on me and I can live underwater, underwater, underwater And I can live underwater Bursting through a bright blue sky with space (?) from the world I've left behind it's enough to lose your head and disappear and not return again When I fall to my feet Wearin' my heart on my sleeve All I see just amazes You are the port of my call You shot and leavin' me raw Now I know you're amazing 'Cause all I need Is the love you breathe Put your lips on me and I can live underwater, underwater, underwater Underwater And I can live underwater (x2) Underwater, underwater, I can live underwater with your love I can breathe, I can breathe underwater (x6)
  5. Totally agree. It was love at first 'listen' to me I guess my favourite version is still stuck at the Korea gig but of course I love the new one but I don't know.. I feel like he sang it more smoothly in Korea.. (Edit: Okay, the word I'm looking for is not smoothly because in the new version it really can't get any smoother ) I don't know how to describe it But I absolutely adore this song
  6. MIKA official ‏@mikasounds Going to bed. It's quarter to one and still light outside.
  7. I don't think it's anything serious (I hope so). Didn't he do this same 'procedure' before? Maybe around the time of PDP? I don't remember exactly when, but I'm sure he said something about it before, this little camera stuck to his throat thing.
  8. Yeah I know I lost a tooth there but you'll just have to cope with it cause I swear I ain't going to the dentist
  9. Oh that red streak was horrible but there are really some lovely pics there Thanks for posting
  10. Another review Mika sticks to the same positive, go-get-em formula in his comeback single, 'Celebrate.' Mika could be a motivational speaker. All of his music has that uplifting, happy-go-lucky message; “Love Today,” “Grace Kelly,” “Big Girls (You Are Beautiful)” are just a few examples. With “Celebrate,” he proves that he hasn’t lost his penchant for penning peppy songs. The singer swaps his trademark high-pitched vocal range for a softer, smoother R&B tenor in this single. (During the chorus, he still reverts back to the soprano we know and love.) His lyrics, however, and as a result, the song’s theme, strive toward the same trope that Mika has become known for throughout his career: happiness. “I wanna come home to the only place I know/Where the trees I planted grow/I wanna come home,” sings Mika. He doesn’t hide his intention behind tricky metaphors or long-winded anecdotes the way other artists would. No, his message is simple and clear: “I want the whole world to celebrate.” Joining Mika in the comeback boat is Pharrell, producer of the song as well as guest star singer. Pharrell echoes his buddy’s sentiments – and sound – switching up his aggravating (and sometimes off-key) falsetto in favor of a lower register, with his own political demonstration shouts sprinkled after. The song boils down to an inspiring, if not mildly cheesy, collision of voices and noises telling us to seize the moment, be happy, celebrate. We’re sure we’ll be seeing this song featured on one of those you-can-be-anything-you-want-to-be-if-you-drink-our-soda Mountain Dew commercials very soon. Listen below.
  11. A review from Popdust Mika’s comeback couldn’t be better-timed. Queen never went away, per se, whether in the rock or meme canons (their entire discography for the former, “Bohemian Rhapsody” for the latter), but it’s a particularly good time for Freddie Mercury devotees. Just this year, we’ve got fun.’s “We Are Young” and Some Nights, plus the entirety of Adam Lambert’s Trespassing. Mika was there before either; lead single “Grace Kelly” even mentions the guy. Pharrell never completely went away, either; he worked on Lambert’s album as well as (briefly) Usher’s Looking 4 Myself, among other collaborations this year. They’re natural collaborators. Well. On paper, they are. It’s hard to imagine what anybody involved in “Celebrate” was thinking. Pharrell doesn’t sound like Pharrell, which’d be remarkable and welcome if what he sounded like instead wasn’t the vaguely uplifting, slight groove you’d play after last call as clubgoers filtered out onto the streets. Mika, meanwhile, swaddles his voice in so much processing he ends up sounding like Adam Levine if he were whispering; he only gets to let loose on ad-libs buried deep in the mix, and the only thing Mika adds that a randomly selected male vocalist wouldn’t is that he doesn’t need pitch-shifting to become a tenor. The whole thing ends up sounding like a subpar take of one of Adam Lambert’s weaker Trespassing singles. In fact, there’s a good chance Lambert turned this down. Hell, Usher may have turned it down. (If he did, try not to question why he went with will.i.am’s “Uptown Girl” leeching instead.) It might be best, no matter how annoying this practice usually is, for Mika and Pharrell to quietly bury “Celebrate” in favor of a real comeback single. They both deserve better. (1 out of 5)
