  1. Glad to hear things are better for you :huglove:.

I love the 'mon new user title' in your post :wub2:. Which reminds me that I've started to notice that when my kids speak Estonian, they sometimes translate English expressions into Estonian, which sound really awkward. It can't be that their dominating language changes in only 1,5 years  !? It's slightly worrying as we are hoping to stay a bit longer that initially planned.

MIKA is tweeting and all the whips are whizzing again :roftl:. I'm trying to avoid stepping in the discussion this time :teehee:.

    Take care!

    :huglove:

  3. Yup, the crown jewel of Scottish baking . I've never bothered to bake them (or even look for a recipe) before, but Guy, you make the baking sound so easy I may even be able to resist the temptation to grab a box in the store and try making them myself
  4. I'm on and off MFC atm. I'm painting baubles, in a fierce speed, cause I realised today that although Xmas is two weeks away, we're going to put up the three next weekend :aah:. And it would be great if I actually had something to put on it :naughty:

  5. Of course you may! The more of us have it, the more voters there are. Hopefully :thumb_yello:.

  6. I used to love the boy in Lipstick On Your Collar . Then again, I was nearly 20 years younger then myself too He doesn't look bad to me, just... older. His 30s fit him so well!
  7. I was thinking about this thread earlier today when I saw this pic and though: why the hell did he have to grow so old Couldn't he just... stay that way!?
  8. Things will get better, they always do. A low is always followed by a high. I hope the better times are already knocking at your door :wink2:.

Have a nice weekend you too!

  9. New ava, you're paying your debt to karma... Just checking in on you :wink2:

  10. Have fun in Barcelona!

Being busy - things that need to be done simply have a way of finding me :naughty:

  11. Hi Alba! I'm doing great. We had awful storm today, though. I had to pick up kids from school at noon already. I should have been out preparing for Christmas :sneaky2:. It seems to have calmed down a bit now.

I hoped I was going to have more time to chat once my work is done, but I seem to have even less time than before :aah:.

    How are things with you?

    :huglove:

  12. I guess it's kids and spices that doesn't often agree. As a child I used to hate many foods I now love.
  13. I'll let you know (but I already know my kids will not be particularly happy. They have a thumb-up only for the three P-s: pizza, pasta, pancakes )
  14. Thanks! . And I have all the ingredients! So today we're having noodle soup
  15. Be my guest . So, what should I have for dinner ?
  16. There's a Vietnamese shop I go to when I can't find the ingredients I need in the supermarket, but it's not on my usual route, so when I've planned to make a Vietnamese dish I have to take on a pilgrimage .
  17. Vietnamese and Thai cuisines are my favs ! I make sth from that part of the world whenever I feel like hunting down the ingredients. Which happens considerably less now, as a new Thai restaurant+take-away was opened just a few hundred yards from my house
  18. A pic to go with the marzipan-apple pie http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3593267&postcount=358 And another ingenious recipe for those, who (like me) love making ice-cream and are left with countless egg whites and not too many ideas of what to do with them: egg white and cheese snacks Ingredients: 3 egg whites 100 gr grated cheese (mature 3 or 4 is the best) 3 tbs plain flour Whisk the whites. Mix the grated cheese with flour. Mix all the ingredients. Drop the mixture by spoonful on a baking sheet. Bake at 180 degrees until golden (around 12-15 minutes). Turn off the oven, leave the biscuits in the oven until cooled. Although they're great also when warm. Any other ideas on what to do with egg whites are highly appreciated as the ice-cream making season is in full swing . It always is
