Today I thought of BIOTW : it`s so good that it needs no additional vocal by Ida on the album . I`d like to hear a final album version sung by Mika alone. The live one sounds good as a duo, but I`d prefer it with Mika`s vocal on the album .

Hi everyone ! Can I use this thread to introduce myself ? Is it a right one ? I don`t think I`m a really big person to create a single thread like "Hi, I`m a new member...." Not so new, actually... I registered in 2010, but haven`t written any posts since then because I wasn`t sure there are people of my age here. (There are not so many people over 30 in Mika Russian Fan Club, unfortunately...But I`m working hard to involve them !) The situation here is different. Now I dare write ! And I hope to make new friends here. OK: I represent Russia, my beloved hometown is Moscow. I`m 33, I work in the sphere of international cooperation. Mika is my passion since December 2006 when I first heard Grace Kelly and Love Today. I wanted to buy Life in Cartoon Motion long before it appeared officially in Russian music stores. (I did !!!) Since then - I`ve become a true fan. But Mika`s concert in Moscow in July, 2010 became a turning point to me. After that gig I`ve become a die-hard fan . I re-discovered him as a personality, not just a musician. Unfortunately , none of my numerous colleagues and mates care for Mika... But I`m glad I found allies in MikaRussian Fan Club. Some of them are here too. My other interests are: music (Queen), art (drawing and illustrations), good movies (I love everything by Tim Burton), literature (favourite writers - F. Vargas, J. Amado, G.G. Marquez), English language - I`ll try to improve it, I promise ! Thank you everybody for reading this "opus" ! Glad to be here.

M. Mastin, Cherisse, Christine - thank you. I`m so glad you realize what is REALLY important , and what is not. What we do discuss here - is his music. Not the things beyond it , or Ida`s presence... I`m upset with those "stepford fans" putting aspects of Mika `s personal life far ahead of his music. Let`s get back to the song. Do you think we`ll hear it on the album ?

Even though we (well, most of us:teehee:) agree that EMD is a summer hit, I`m sure Russian broadcasting will continue all year long ! Yesterday I heard it on "Love Radio", Moscow... A DJ announced it as "...a new single by perfect dear Mika...."

Mika usually puts a special "spice" into his simple songs like Relax, Rain, etc. Do you remember Rain - the beginning of the song is ...running over the violin strings! He always finds an interesting details to ... adorn.

Still it seems to me that EMD is too simple ...I agree - a typical summer hit-single. Too unpretentious, too electronic. But the great idea was to sing it in French (isn`t it charming ?) though it sounds unusual to our hearing. Mika is ingenious, isn`t he ?!!! For me - EMD will never be my No1 song, but it has charm and it`s catchy.

I don`t think the song reflects some REAL personal Mika`s feellings ... We shouldn`t treat it as his " sympathy message". It`s just a piece of performance.

Hi everyone ! Let`s get back to the song, ok ? (OMG, it`s my very first message here !!!) I really don`t get why so many people can`t see its beauty. BIOTW sounds like true Mika, I think most of us are happy he has this magical sound back. I hope, we`ll have it as an official single soon.
