I'm more interested in portraits/close-ups than macro, so I guess that lens will do. It's good for a start anyways, it's not like I'm a professional photographer or something

Wow, all of those pictures are amazing and you are very talented yourself! I'm more interested in portraits and close-ups. I have found one in a website with 530€, it comes with EF-S 18-55mm IS f/3.5-5.6 lens. Is this lens good for close-ups?
