    So this may be a bit of topic, but in Sweden it's the final tomorrow and I'm not sure which one of these contestants I want to vote for.

    it had something to do that we never won and they thought if they chose themselves we might get further. well We did get lots of points with Tom Dice...

    can't remember who was the year after him, cause in belgium it's one year the flemish that decide and the other year Wallonians send a candidate. Don't know how things are done in Wallonia actually ::blush-anim-cl:

    well we used to choose our own performers, but lately it's a jury or something that chooses who will sing. and on the 17th we'll hear 2 songs and then one of those will be chosen...

     

    it's not as much fun as it used to be :roftl:

     

    It doesn't sound fun.

    In Sweden the whole "choose ESC contribution" is really big! It take 6 weeks, and we have 32 contestants to chose from. :roftl:

    But I don't like it. First it's a ballad then it turn into some kind of disco song, I'm confused :blink:

    The song sounds a lot like another song I've heard, but I can't remember which one it is...

    Yeah.. it is what it is ..

     

    But I remember a few years ago you guys sent a song in estonian and it got 5th place or something, I liked that song a lot.

    Okay. our final just ended. I'm kinda disappointed.. first of all.. that song is in Estonian.. Secondly..It's like ballad..

    -the indian thing has been done to death, I'm sick of it

    -she can't really reach the high notes....

     

    I guess it's a hate it or love it song... I don't even have a real problem with the song, but with the singer/the voice/the act.

     

    I agree with you. I actually like the song, but not her voice and I can't understand the whole indan-thing. Why choose that theme? It distracts you from the song, and I find it kind of annoying.

    Maybe, I know nothing about music :aah: but according to the music critic you're right. the song is an modified version of Swedish House Mafia's song "Save the world" :wink2:

    Hmm. When listening all I could think: Uhm, I know this song already :boxed:

    I don't know if it sounds like a popular song or what :dunno:

     

    I had a look at some of the other contestants for Sweden and I think "amazing" is my least favorite together with "mirakel".

     

    Yeah it's not original in any way. :wink2:

    I think I like "Euphoria" with Loreen the most, but I don't know if it is a Eurovision-winner-song... :dunno:

     

    Haha, "Mirakel" :roftl: it's the worst song ever. The only reason it went to finally is because people thought it was funny :aah:

    Wow! How catchy and unoriginal...(:teehee:) this one will go far, that's for sure :roftl:

    It actually sounds like it could be used as a football anthem or the official song to any sports championship, too and I can totally see it end up as the winning or the runner up song this year.

     

    Like the most Eurovision songs then :teehee:

    There are some strong competitors that he competes with... And I'm not sure which one I like the most...

     

    It's funny that you mention it 'cause the music critics wrote that in their reviews too. :aah:

    i think Happy Ending is a good choice too. but about my experience... the only songs from Mika that i played for others and they loved it were Relax and Kick ass.:wub2: and Blame it on the girls is good because it has a perfect rhythm!:teehee:

     

    I love Relax but the persons I've played it for don't like it as much as I do :huh:

     

    But I've never played Kick ass and Blame it on the girls. I think those are good chooses. :wink2:

    Thanks for clearing the water! I looked around and I found more Troops than Truths, so I'd roll with Troops! Haha thanks for bringing this to my attention!:biggrin2:

    I think if you listen very attentively you can hear troops, but as always with Mika's lyrics it's difficult to hear the exact words he's singing. :teehee:

    I can't count all the times I've misheard the lyrics :roftl:

    C'est une très bonne thread(?) Je vais l'utiliser parce que mon française n'est pas bien. Je peux lire français, écrire un peu mais si quelqu'un la parle je ne comprends rien.

     

    Je ne peux pas compter à la française, si quelqu'un pourrait déclarant le principe je serais très gai :wink2:

    I think, by own experience, that Grace Kelly is the best song to chose if you want to introduce Mika to someone. It's an easy to like song.

     

    When i first heard of Mika I actually didn't like: Lollipop, Love today and Big girl, but I loved happy ending. My friend, who's absolutely not a Mika fan, loves Happy Ending too.

     

    So if you want to introduce Mika play Happy Ending and Grace Kelly (and maybe By the time). :wink2:
