    This thread makes me verry sad and emotional... (Too emotional in fact, I think the fact that I'm having a stressful week at work doesn't help... anyway)

     

    I wont quote anyone but can I just say that as far as everything I read in this thread, no-one asked anyone to justify their opinion.

     

    Are those upset with this X-Factor thing bad fans because of their disagreement?

     

    Of course not!

     

    Are those deciding to wait or happy about it bad fans because they are «licking Mika's boots» or not caring of whatever other reason?

     

    Of course not!

     

    This being a debate based on emotions (strong ones at that), like every debate based on emotions, we will never have a consensus. But we can still discuss it, as long as no-one is feeling the need to justify how they feel. People saying «we should wait and see» are just expressing their opinion, same as those not wanting to wait and explaining why...

     

    Does the number of years of being a fan is relevant in this discussion? The only relevance I see is that it will without a doupt affect people's opinions (same thing for where they live, their age, their life experiences, etc.)

     

    One other thing, we have to remember that for most of us English is not our first language, so misunderstandings are bound to happen, it has nothing to do with trolling or anything.

     

    Anyway ... I'll go relax now I'm way too stressed out

    The more I read your comments the more I understand that the perception about the show is REALLY different from country to country. So please dont be sure when you say...only lame and unsuccessful judges are in the show...please dont be silly when you comprare Mika to David Hasselhoff. When you show a pic with Mika and one of the old judges Elio and you called him "clown" you have a prespective that is twisted cause in Italy he's a great musician, he arrived 2nd at Sanremo this year, he chose to play with costumes in his entire career but didnt damage him whether you like his music or not. About italian singers outside Italy that you dont know...well...check a bit more cause are more than one. PLUS I dont think that UK or USA create only good artists and many of them are crap young artists that make "easy" music like bieber, lovato, jonas brothers, one direction...etc...the dame happens here of course.

    About xfactor Italy there are talented people working there, not losers, for example Luca Tomassini. Do you know him at all? He worked with many great artists and he's a choreographer and sure he has a career OUTSIDE xfactor that shines bright.

     

    So....I repeat myself and I'm sorry but LET MIKA TRY! He's not stupid, he can make mistakes or good choices like everyone else but he deserves some trust from his fans! Everyone can write a personal opinion but cant become the only true thought and the only opinion on Mika's entire career...he's not fair.

    When you say that Mika was not interested in things like fashion, advertise, talent at the beginning and you're disappointed I cant understand that completely cause his career is evolving and his music too and also Mika himself and if he does other things during his life is more than normal! There're just phases.

    I dont remember people complaining when Mika had Louboutin shoes adv or now when he wears those fashion and incredible expensive shoes during shows. Mika with Louboutin is NOT the same "easy" Mika he appeared in 2007 with white converse but HIS MUSIC is great now like it was before.

    And we cant think that he'll do music forever or only music the whole life. Comics, books, musical, tv show, advertise, private gigs...everything that is interesting for him is good for his persona.

    So please I think is fair to WAIT and see. We dont have a crystal ball...we're not part of the show..we dont know if he has to train singers everyday or just give them songs and let other people to train them and stay here 2 days a week, we dont know if he has time to write songs in the mid time..we dont know anything specific so let him breath!

     

    Please note that I'm NOT a xfactor fan at all and I dont plan to follow him and meet him in milan everyday (I live in Rome!) but I WANT to give Mika a chance to prove his skills also as a judge. He needs to increase his popularity here and this is A way to do it. I bet he's planning strategies to do that in other countries too. Each country has its own way.

    My daughter and I believe it's a slot he's worked into the set list so he can play something extra or a request from the audience.

    This just our theory.

    Well everyone knows what I think of these kinds of shows, but as regards Mika judging, I think the way things are at the moment, it's the worst thing he could do now.

    How can he go on a show to help new artists, when his own career is in a state of limbo in most places of the world?

    I know he loves being in his own little bubble, and that's all very well, but if he keeps reducing the size of it, he's going to lose fans at a drastic rate. And for someone with his talent it breaks my heart to think that he's reduced to doing this to get his profile back up!

    As far as Jessie J is concerned, she cancelled her 2013 concert schedule to go back on The Voice, which didn't please her fans much at all, so if singers songwriters are giving up their main job to do shows like this, I think it's a complete waste of their real talent to be honest.

     

    Indeed...I just hope he wont tour less because of that show (which is bound to happen ...)

    I can't believe it, I'm really the only one that took videos from this gig ? :blink: That makes me feel like I'm very bad. :aah:

     

    Don't feel bad, I would love to have videos too as souvenir that I could listen from time to time to remember this day since I have a very bad memory :teehee:

    hey i was just in front of u when we were waiting!! i saw ur gift n thought tats absolutely adorable!! i even told my friend about this adorable little hat (i only saw ur gift out of the corner of my eye while i was talking to my frined in line ;P) on the cover of a notebook or a card tat must be a gift to mika after the meet & greet XD so it is a card XD great job!! love it!!

     

    (good for u warned him TWICE... cause he signed on my gift... *puff*:doh:)
