    D'altra parte con TOOL si è molto esposto sul piano personale e credo che il "tonfo" di vendite sia stato amaro da digerire. Per questo non lo giudico e, anche se non condivido pienamente le sue scelte, continuerò a seguirlo.

    Sempre nella speranza che col tempo gli torni la voglia di fare il musicista, ovviamente! :fisch:

     

    mah, a me è parso più che altro che con TOOL non abbiano investito su di lui in partenza...è stato promosso poco,come il tour

    in Italia anzi è andata meglio perchè c'è stato XFactor, ma in generale il pubblico "medio" non dei fan che lo seguono, non sapeva ci fosse un nuovo album,ne che avrebbe fatto dei concerti in italia, che infatti non erano sold out... mentre grazie a XF il Songobook ha venduto alla grande

    in altri Paesi, come UK, ancora peggio, e non hanno neanche XF...

    If you want or someone interested want to, I can do the translation of this interview's anticipation, because it is an interview authorized and granted by Mika (he saw that the paparazzi followed him and also found them stationed outside his house in London!!).

    But for the full interview someone in France has to scan it.

    se rinuncia a fare concerti in un periodo in cui, almeno in Italia e Francia, avrebbe anche un buon pubblico, penso ci siano dietro motivazioni più grandi che Xfactor in sè... del resto l'anno scorso aveva fatto sia le audizioni di XF che i festival estivi.... ci resta solo sperare in qualcosa di migliore per l'anno dopo (a parte Montreal che è un po' fuori dalla mia portata)

    if it's true that he chose doing another xfactor over summer gigs, i'm not really happy about that. i wouldn't have minded the no summer gigs much, if it had been to work on his album (i probably wouldn't be able to go to any gigs this summer anyway)... but for another one of those talent shows?! pfft! :sneaky2: he really seems to enjoy doing them now, which i find sad. his gigs are the most amazing thing on this planet, and it makes me sad to see that they don't seem to have a very high priority for him. :no: for me, mika belongs on a stage. live. with his songs. but it seems he prefers the easy way of gaining/maintaining popularity and money, by sitting in a chair in a tv show. ah well. i'll keep waiting, surely some day there'll be gigs again... :wait::old:

     

    well, I think that XF8 isn't the reason why he doesn't do any festival this Summer. Last Summer he did both XF and gigs (even if it wasn't a proper tour) .... I guess this year it's something related to finish the album soon.... *I hope* otherwise I just don't understand :dunno:

    I just wish for something in UK.

    I had hoped he might do Britain's Got Talent this year, but he isn't doing that.

    It would have been such awesome exposure in UK.

    Still I hope for something good, over here. I do get pd off when I read tweets from Italian fans saying how much they miss him and please come back to Italy soon. How on Earth do they think the British fans feel? I would just be so grateful if Mika had done, even a small show in UK.

     

    speaking about audience exposure, I agree that an Uk TV show would be better than doing Xf Italy again,even if he always says how he loved the experience and he would like to repeat it.

    and it's true that Italian fans are the ones that shouldn't complain about missing him,even if we'd prefer seeing him touring,than doing tv, of course. but who knows what his next career plans are, I really hope he will be able to stop concerning on Italian and French talent shows ;)

    A me suona strano che a metà marzo ancora non abbia annunciato proprio nulla per l'estate.... sicuramente concerti in posti grandi vanno annunciati con parecchio preavviso, quindi dubito che se canterà all'Arena (e a tutti piacerebbe tanto!) lo faccia quest'estate, magari più avanti, vedremo ;)

    Apparently Italian press takes Mika for granted for the next XF. :doh:

    The appointment is in may with the traditional castings that will be done in 3 big towns, followed by the audictions in front of Elio, Simona Ventura, Morgan and the new entry Mika.

     

    They call Mika "new entry". Imo they just copied and pasted an old article.

    Oh jeez. Sadly accurancy and journalism don't match at all. :aah:

     

    Or they may know something we don't. :dunno: Still, Mika is so not a new entry, so I don't know.....

    Actually Morgan told the press he doesn't want to do it anymore, but he said the same thing last year, and then he changed his mind (maybe he was offered a better paycheck)

    about Mika.... who knows. He always tweets about how he misses Italy and Italian fans,and still practices Italian, so he could be doing it again ( I don't wish for it,even if I'm an Italian fan,and I would enjoy being able to watch him on TV every week and having him everytime on the press and radio/tv shows.... ) time will tell us!

    Niente, volevo solo dire che le parodie non mi piacciono perché io parlo così ed è una rottura di scatole :aah:

     

    Ero di buon umore prima, giuro.

     

    E volevo aggiungere che non so quanto riuscirà a capire del cinema italiano il ragazzo visto che io dopo cinque anni non riesco a capire perché il 99% dei film italiani dovrebbe far ridere.

     

    Mah.

    e aggiungo che spesso le battute del cinema italiano non le capiscono neanche i madrelingua per quanto sono stupide :doh:

    a parte le battute si, gran parte è basato sui giochi di parole, rendendoli ancora più difficili per gli stranieri

    Non l'avevo vista la parodia :naughty: Grazie per averla postata Marina!

    Oddio effettivamente le marchette nella pubblicità sono sempre abbastanza tristi :aah: Infatti, l'unica scelta carrieristica (chiamiamola così :P) di Mika che non mi è tanto piaciuta è stata quella di fare le pubblicità per Wind, Infostrada... anche perchè, capisco che fa sempre parte dello show business, ma quando arrivi ad essere un personaggio così noto, non hai davvero bisogno di fare queste marchette... insomma è forse quello il bello di quando diventi "famoso", hai poi la possibilità di scegliere cosa fare e cosa non fare, non sei costretto ad accettare bene o male tutto perchè sei agli inizi della carriera e quindi più aperto ad ogni tipo di proposta che possa farti conoscere... che poi, secondo me, a parte i soldi, quest'eccessiva sovraesposizione non è nemmeno così vantaggiosa per la carriera ... di solito questo tipo di pubblicità sono abbastanza tristi e fastidiose e rischiano di creare l'effetto opposto (penso a George Clooney con Martini, Banderas con quelle galline della Mulino Bianco:aah: , o ancora Elio, la Littizzetto etc per Vodafone.... ). Che poi: ok la pubblicità è pubblicità, quindi di per sè sempre un pò fastidiosa, ma ci sono quelle belline e fatte bene che si fanno ricordare... e quelle solo tristiii... e la maggior parte di quelle che sfruttano un personaggio televisivo sono tremende :shocked:

     

    sono d'accordo con te, specialmente la pubblicità di Sky/Fastweb non mi è piaciuta perchè sembra abbastanza un pagliaccio, chi già lo conosce sa che è (soprattutto!) un artista con tutt'altre qualità, ma per il resto del pubblico non è così, si riduce a "ah si Mika, quello che ha fatto Xfactor e che fa lo spot di Sky con la camicia a cuori dove dice "ho choosato"!" per cui diciamo che non è il massimo.... trovo già migliori gli spot per la 3, anche se continuo a pensare che gli spot veramente ben fatti siano altri, e raramente quelli che ospitano personaggi famosi, personalmente ammiro molto gli spot "motivazionali" della P&G, o Adidas, o Nike, fatti magari in occasione di eventi sportivi ;)

    a parte questo piccolo OT, oramai è fatta, non è la fine del mondo, e spero che sia una "parentesi" commerciale che presto finirà, e lui torni a fare principalmente musica,che è sicuramente più interessante :thumb_yello:
