  1. I have translated the questions from 15 to the end. I hope not too bad. :blush-anim-cl:

Are still missing questions from 7 to 14... :fisch:

    15 . asktomika - Mika-mania 2:11

I: Question from a reader : What do you think of the Mika-mania that is spreading among the elderly ?

M : (he laughs) I don't know ! The Mika-mania does not exist! This is not true !

I: oh yes, a little bit, come on ...

    M : nooo !

I: .. in the sense that you have so many fans even among the elderly !

M : in my concerts there have always been people of all ages, from the beginning... youngs and older people .. and this is very important , because this means that my music is not a "sound" [ said in english ] , it does not come from a sort of fashion, of trend ... I write music in my own world .. and that's the reason why I can make music , I can make concerts with an audience that does not represent a particular side of a fashion, a particular " scene " [ said in english ] .. this is very important ... because in all of this there is a lot of freedom .. when a musician comes from a side of fashion, he is very... ah, how do you say... ?

I: costretto. [in the sense of constricted, limitated].

M : Yes. When a musician comes from a fashion , he is very limitated. I want to come from ... ehm, I don't know ... from me.

    16. asktomika - When I clean my teeth 1:00

I: Question from a reader: How do you manage the fear before a show? And what do you normally do when a show ends?

M: I clean my teeth, before a concert ... I want to sing with a clean mouth ... even if I say bad words, I want to have a clean mouth...physically..

    17 . asktomika - I'm Free 2:55

I: Question from a reader : Will you ever create your own independent record label ? Because your music could give even more... to you and to us!

M : Uhm... the only problem is that even if I make an independent label, I sell records in many parts of the world... from Asia to Africa..the Arab World, America ...I need help! ... if I make all this things all alone , I must have a bigger structure... in production and in distribution ...so I have to make a " deal" ["deal" said in english] ...

I: You make records in a so big record company like Universal..are you free ?

M : I am free , I am very free ... and in this moment I am more free than before, because I realized that when I make popular television...here in Italy, in France...in England...I can have much more freedom with my music...artistically ... but I've always been very free ... there were some periods during the second album in which I could not do exactly what I wanted ... for example the video of Celebrate , the first single of The Origin of Love ... a video ... bah !

there was so much control , so much pressure from the record company .. mainly in America .. to make a "safe " video ["safe" said in english]...a video not too eccentric...and after I said: okay, I made a video for you, now I want to make all the videos for me ... and than I made beautiful videos: Underwater , The popular song ... but the video of Celebrate oh no, it's not nice. I don't like it at all ... (they laugh)

I: there is the manager who is shaking his head !

    18. asktomika - A duet with Marco Mengoni 12:44

I: Question from a reader: Will you ever make a duet with Marco Mengoni?

M: With Marco Mengoni? I like Marco Mengoni, I like his voice, I also like him as a person, he is very very nice ... I like him ... but we have not talked about making a duet ... I don't know if this mix of voices is a good idea ... I don't know ...

    19 . asktomika - A boyfriend for my dog Mel 2:17

I: Has Mel a boyfriend? My Spanky is interested ... furry, a little schizophrenic ... but from a good family ...

M : Nooo ! Thanks but no ! This is an arranged marriage at 100% ... and if you do not like , who cares ! I want to have Golden Retriever "babies" and not a UFO with schizophrenia problems [ he intends "puppies" , but says "babies", he messes with the Italian ] ... In fact, I chose the Melachi's boyfriend...Melachi, my dog ...three days ago ... it is a pretty smart dog ... a so pretty dog ... but more pretty than smart , this is very important! [ they laugh ] An English dog, with red hair...it is three years old ... grown-up enough but not too old

I: Have you done a sort of examination , some test ?

    M: Yes , absolutely ... I've made so many ...[ they laugh ]

    I: So now Mel has a boyfriend ?? ?

M: Yes , she is engaged ... for next summer , because it is bad to have ... ehm, how do you say ..."small dog" [said in english]... ?

    I: Cuccioli! Puppies !

M: Yes , puppies ! ... It is not good for a dog to have puppies during the winter, so the next summer!

I: where do you leave Mel when you travel?

    M : In England ... in ... umh .. how do you say ??? "countryside"[said in english]?

    I: In "campagna" !

M: Yes in " campagna ", in the countryside ! Oh, I forgot all my italian ... because I was at home this week and I have spoken English for three days ... and I forgot everything!

I: oh no! it's not true! [ they laugh ]

    20. asktomika - A video for Stardust 1:05

I: Some readers ask if you will make a video for Stardust?

M: I want to make a video for Stardust! But we have no time!

Q: But are you thinking about it? Already have something in mind?

M: Yeah .. I wanted to make a video ... ... in an old theater .. a video-performance very theatrical .. but we have no time ... because after XFactor it's Christmas time! We can't come back to work to make the video ...on December 24 or on December 25 ...no, I don't think the team will be ... ah, how do you say? "sarate, sarà.." [he searches for the right italian verb for: the team " will be"].. la squadra NON SARA'contenta! [yes, right verb!], the team will not be happy! ...

    21. final greetings 00:22

I: Thank you Mika! You have been so powerful...

    M: Thank you (whispered)

I: ehm...we are a bit sexy at the end ...

M: (he laughs) Thank you very much!

:huglove:

  3. Also, what is he saying when he has the blender in his hands?

This is the complete text of the ad.... :mf_rosetinted:

ll Ragazzo alla Ragazza: Dove sono i dischi, amore?

Mika: Ah, questa canzone, l’ho "ciusata" anche a X Factor. Avete visto? Come no? Ma allora dovete passare a Sky e Fastweb

    Ragazza: Perché?

Mika: Con Fastweb hai internet fino a 100 mega e chiamate illimitate. Con Sky hai le migliori serie tv. I più grandi show.

    …. E dove va questo?

The boy to the girl: Where are the records, dear?

Mika: Ah, this song....I have also chosen it in X Factor. Have you seen? No??Why not? But then you have to pass to Sky and Fastweb

    Girl: Why?

Mika: With Fastweb you can have up to 100 meg internet and unlimited calls. With Sky you have the best TV series. The greatest show.

.... And where do you put this? (referring to the blender) :naughty:

"ciusare" have no sense in italian, it's a little mistake of Mika that people loved during XF...a mixed word of english and italian that sounds very funny and tender

  4. Oh and sorry to have quoted you, it´s not about your post, it´s about the impression that MFC gaves lately... :huglove:

Not be sorry, I completely understand your point of view .

I follow Mika for a very short time , and then I don't know much about him. But in addition to his music, I find interesting the way he decided to manage himself and his image in a very ambitious marketing strategy , which aims to conquer many countries...but not using the classical global strategy of the majors. We're always talking about using his own image in some way, but perhaps the focal point is who decides what, where and how to do that. I think that now is Mika and not the record company to decide many things, and this is very interesting , because Mika is a very interesting person .

He is a particoular artist , creative and sensitive and this kind of artist , in my opinion , needs to get in a deep harmony with people to be truly understood. But this takes time. This way to enter inside every culture, with intelligence and respect, with diversified and a little crazy projects, perhaps gives him the chance to be really understood.

I think the ultimate goal for him is always the music, or perhaps , more importantly, to communicate with music. And to communicate we have to understand each other. :thumb_yello:

So, let's see the next step :mf_rosetinted:

So, let's see the next step :mf_rosetinted:

  6. From what I understand, for Mika advertising is an honest way to be free and to avoid other chains which are much more heavy for him than an ad.

Evidently, between having to endure the pressure from the record company and working in television, he prefers the latter. Perhaps much fun and less problems.

The ultimate goal for him is always to be able to make music in the way he likes. :wink2:

  8. In Italy the pay-TV is not yet widespread.

For three years, XFactor was broadcast on public television, but the show was too expensive, and has passed to Sky. Now XF is the most important program that Sky uses to promote the purchase of pay-TV. The message was: "If you want to see XF, you have to buy Sky". This year, the presence of Mika and his unexpected great success, have changed everything: immediately Mika has become the true face of Sky. And also the message has changed: "If you want to see Mika in XF, you have to buy Sky". :mf_rosetinted:

Yesterday I was in big shopping mall, where they sold subscriptions to Sky pay-tv. To attract people, they transmitted videos of Mika judge of XF. :wink2:

I think that the whole operation of "Mika in Italy" has become quite important...and the new ad is probably the final stage of it. :thumb_yello:

  10. But what does he say at the end with the blender thingy?

He says: ma dove va questo? But where do you put this? (referring to the blender)

The couple has just moved into a new house and is putting in order some objects from the boxes...and they are searchig for their records...Mika enters in the house and hears in the air the sound of the same song he has chosen during XF...but the couple doesn't know anything about XF because it has not Sky... so Mika encourages them to get Sky and a fast internet connection to see films and shows at the best speed and best price! :wink2:

  12. What a lovely ad! :blush-anim-cl:

Now, I can see it in all the italian channels.:thumb_yello:

In the ad you can hear the Mika's little mistake in italian language that here is becomig a sort of common expression. :naughty:

It is the classical mistake of a student that tries to improve the language.

Mika uses the english verb "to choose" in an "italian way", adapting the word to the italian verbs and to an italian sound. And the word becomes a strange mix of two languages, "choos-are".

It's funny and sweet for us, even if it has no sense. :teehee: But it's also the proof that he's really trying to learn the language. Seriously.

The choice of using this little mistake in the ad, does not mean to make fun of Mika. It is a sort of display of affection, almost a sort of adoption. :huglove:

  14. This is a special gift from Mika to Violetta.

    violetta-zironi-mostra-il-regalo-di-mika.jpg

"I wanted to thank the man who gave me this," writes Violetta Zironi on on its official Facebook page, alluding to a small but - for her - very important gift. A pendant, engraved with the names of Violet and Mika. "The man who helped me realize my dream, who believed in me, who raised me, protected and saved me in the two months of X Factor ... Thanks Mika," :blush-anim-cl:

:teehee:

  16. :wub2::thumb_yello: I'm so happy! I can't wait for it :mikalove:

Here a picture of Mika and Daria Bignardi, the journalist at the head of the show "Le invasioni barbariche" (The barbarian invasions :naughty:)

    465x618xmika-520x692.jpg.pagespeed.ic.-qbO-qMslU.jpg

The show can be funny but also very serious: it dipends on the guest interviewed by Daria, an intelligent journalist, TV presenter and writer. Usually, there are many guests: writers, musicians, actors, politicians...

January 17 we will see the first episode of the new series of the show and Mika is the special guest, "the name" that everyone is waiting. :thumb_yello:

I think Italy is really in love with Mika. During this "italian period" spent in Milan, everybody have seen his fine intelligence and above all his great respect about our language, our culture and our country. It was love at first sight. :huglove:

  17. Ciao a tutti!

    ciao! :hi5:

  18. Hello, I'm a new member of this Fun Club and I'm from Genoa, in the north west of Italy. :pinkbow:

I'm also a new fan of Mika: after seeing him as judge in the italian X Factor, I'm in love. :blush-anim-cl: Completamente! :teehee:

I'm watching his video and listening his music for several weeks and I can't stop.

    And so, I'm here.

I think chatting with all of you about an original artist like Mika, will be a pleasure.

I'll try to remember my english... be patient! :fisch:

    Kisses :huglove:
