  1. I too have heard only bad reviews about the movie so far, but also that's funny how every single bit of news about the festival (and there's quite a lot of it) ends up with Grace Kelly (the song, I mean. Obviously :aah: ). I've heard it like 20 times today only. I won't complain :mf_rosetinted:

(I was once at Cannes for the festival. I accidently ended up partying on a boat until 6 pm. He's gonna have fun :naughty: )

  2. Thanks a lot for article and translation :huglove:

I like this article very much. And I love sparks :wub2:

Ernesto Assante who wrote the article is one of the most famous musical criticians/musical journalists in Italy. I'm very pleased he spoke so well about Mika, he's not as merciful to everyone.

Well I like it even more then!

I still have to pack my bag, goodbye :aah:

Careful with the bag, I'm already in it :mf_rosetinted:

  3. What did they say? :(

Not exactly word-to-word but here are the ideas

Kendji made people happy because he's full of joy when singing. He wasn't always perfect, he even forgot the lyrics once, but he was so in it that it warmed our hearts. And those imperfections are part of the game. Happens when you take risks.

blablabla Kendji - I'm discovering it all etc. (sorry :aah: )

What's different in Kendji? His way of opening his thoat when singing, the notes get out without him even thinking about it. It's like a baby screaming - he throws it out without thinking much. For me is was very intuitive and it was a pleasure. In the blind auditions you hear a lot people. A lot. Hundreds. Kendji's voice was refreshing .

I love gipsy music, comes from childhood, my mum loves it. And I met the whole of Kendji's family last night!

Kendji what did you learn with Mika? A lot of things I didn't know, like self confidence. I didn't see me as I singer before. I didn't know.

What could we wish for him now? Now we're waiting for the album. The Voice is a rush and it's very intense, now he has to turn all this energy into something. He was great but now he has to find songs. As Florent Pagny always says, he has to find the good people to work with now. To find writers and composers that will suit him. Like for a car, the songs will be his oil.

Mika will you be there next year? We ended up at 6am this morning and you're already asking about next year! It was great. We'll see. But this experience was fantastic, I had a lot of fun. And I was allowed to be myself, I'm thankfull to them for giving me that much freedom in a show that popular.

  4. Ha, pretty interesting.

So this person Gwendal who tweeted the pics -- they were on the Voice? Am I understanding that correctly?

Gwendal was on the Voice (but on Garou's team, and he didn't last long) but I have no idea how he ended up with those... They aren't screencaps of a weird "when they were young" bit of the Voice if that was the question (or I was sleeping at this moment )

I can't really see them sharing childhood pics backstage though (well I can picture it but I don't see the point :aah:)

  5. could anybody translate the interview please ???

Hello @ ReneeCnt, Mika's concert will be streamed from 21:30! Go to http://www.nutellastories.com/it_IT/event to learn more!

YES that's a fantastic news!! (I'm back to jumping everywhere, quite a lot of jumping for me recently) :pbjt: :pbjt: (not enough dancing bananas in my life (I should stop with brackets now))

    Hope it'll work wordwide :blush-anim-cl:

  7. Mika singing l'aigle noir with Kendji?

I'm not sure whether I can't wait to see it or don't want to see it. How did they do?

I think they did great, really .That was quite touching. I am definitely not a fan of Kendji but for once he surprised me ( it was about time as it was the very last song of season 3 xd)

So of course now I am torn between yay Mika won and arf, Kendji won but the good side is we should have them both on the TF1 news tomorrow.

(And for those who didn't see it yet and were wondering: he walks, dances, jumps and all (and plays with the confettis, of course), so the toes incident doesn't look that bad)

  8. It could be wings, sort of. The pattern begins in the back but I can't see it well (they're not filming his back that often, weirdly enough :aah:)

Anyway, the news of the night is that he has apparently broken 2 of his toes 20 minutes before the show

Didn't really keep him from dancing with Garou while Kylie was singing though :aah:

(also it looks like it's 30000° in there. They're all melting)

  9. Thank you for the scan :wub2:

Sorry for the mistakes :blush-anim-cl: - He's listing what he likes at the moment:

"Comic book: "Fran" by Jim Woodring. I am fan of this poetic, surrealist autodidact from Seattle. His graphic arts have the same effect on me than black and white cartoons from a young Walt Disney.

Actor/Director: Xavier Dolan fascinates me. He is young, passionate, unpredictabe, smart, all at the same time, and he can do everything: acting, directing, dubbing... since his first shocking movie "J'ai tué ma mère", I keep track of everything he makes, creates, the risks he takes. His movies are not perfects, and that's exactly why I love them.

Painter: I love Peter Doig. This artist reproduce an imaginary world, almost unreal, with colourful and out-of space landscapes. Like a poet, he manages to be romantic and macabre at the same time.

Singer: Melody Gardot. On stage, she's energic, mysterious, she has an incredible aura, almost mystical. She drives the musicians by waving a magic hand.

Exhibition: All the work of James Turrell inspires me. I saw his retrospective exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, when I was working at my album. His work on colors, space and light amazes me. I am like a child.

Authors: Last summer I read from the Turkish author Orphan Pamuk. A chock. What will I read this summer? Maybe Julian Barnes, I loved Flaubert's Parrot, and I'll try to finally finish The Sun Also Rises from Hernet Hemmingway."

  11. Squee!

My phone coverage is weird right now and the pictures are not loading. Who is he calling super?

The fans who gave him the piano... that you can't see either, I guess :/. The pic is the card he recieved with the piano ;).

Nice Piano!! Do you think he'll actually dare eating it?

I know I woudn't. Which would be stupid as I already tried to keep a wonderful sculpture made of chocolate once and it turned out to be a very bad idea so if he's smarter than me he should definitely eat it before it's too late :aah:

  12. Just a question: what does "ta gueule" mean? Is it offensive or a joke? my French is not improving much, I'm afraid.

I'll go with Alireine, it's more offensive than shut up and it is rude (in intensity it would be closer to "shut the f**k up", maybe. Or somewhere between the two, let's say), but he didn't mean it as an insult. But then it still is a bad word and they aren't allowed to swear on the show (also if I remember he said it very loudly xD), hence Nikos interrupting him to say something like "sorry did you just say 'ta gueule'?" . The joys of Live Television :teehee:

He said it this week, I'd say it was near the end of the aftershow but I'm not sure. If I remember well it was when he discovered he has won the... well I don't know what he has won, he doesn't know what he has won, I don't think anybody knows what it was but he has won it :aah:

Edit: just checked, it is approx 15 minutes before the end of the after ;)
