  1. Hi Alie,

I haven't purchased my last night ticket but I'm getting it from an MFC member and as far as I know it's in the middle of of the 8th row on the floor. I'm very excited about this one as it's the only one I'll have on the floor. :)

I'm sorry I don't have the exact seat info with me right now. Thank you for doing this update :)

PLAN OF THE VENUE FOR THE THIRD NIGHT

  2. Hello Statue of Liberty :blush-anim-cl:

I'm still sort of new to MFC and I don't think I've chatted with you on here before so I just wanted to say hello as I noticed you've noted Montreal as your next Mika destination.

I'm going as well and I'm really looking forward to meeting as many MFCers as my old brain will retain in memory LOL

Hopefully you'll be at the dinner and I'll have a chance to put a real person to the virtual identity :thumb_yello:

Wishing you a safe and fun trip ahead!

    Kat.

  3. :thumb_yello: Congratz - well done to fix it all :blush-anim-cl: It's so exciting to see all these MFCers confirming that they'll be in Montreal :wink2: Up to now it has only been familiar names, from posts here - at least for me. The only person I've met so far is Nina...:wub2:

    Love,love

    me

I'll be meeting everyone for the first time too and I honestly can't decide whether I'm more stoked for the concerts or for the MFC meet up lol, Mika probably has no clue how excited his fans get to meet each other LOL!!!

  4. So as you know this will be my first ever Mika live gig and I'm thrilled of course but i didn't realize a few things about Mr.M, which I have been kindly educated on :thumb_yello:.

For example, sometimes he apparently comes out to say hello to fans after a gig or sign autographs (that's very nice of him). In chat some have mentioned that people give him presents (some say he keeps them all...super nice of him...bet he's got a LOT of stuff by now ).

Also, it's been mentioned that at some concerts the fans surprise him by doing something special during the performance, I'm not really sure what this entails yet but I thought I'd ask if there were any plans for anything special to happen at these concerts?

  5. It is!

All the info about the bus to the airport http://www.stm.info/en/info/networks/bus/shuttle/more-about-747-aeroport-p-e-trudeau-centre-ville-shuttle

However, for anyone who wants to wander around a bit, regular buses and metro (underground train) is more practical. The metro is linked to many building by indoor tunnels, could be practical if the weather stays as cold as now...

Is it cold there? it's was +4C here today, everything is mushy brown (like mashed potatoes covered in mud gravy lol)...I leave for work and it's dark and I come home and it's dark...I feel like I'm living in the dark ages BAAHAHAHAHA!!!

    :whew:

    Passport arrived this morning. :yay:

Oh my, I can't believe it's only a little over 3 weeks before my trip begins.

AAAAA!!! I KNOW!!! this is going to be such a fun trip :)

Thursday sounds good to me too :thumb_yello: I would love to go to see Wax Mika with MFCers, I've planned to go to see the one in Paris several times but it's just not the same to do it alone. If MFCers will meet on Thu maybe we could also eat something together? Would be more fun.

I don't have any other plans yet, just gigs and the meeting on Wed. Planning to do some sightseeing on Sun and Mon but haven't decided what I need to see in Montreal most. Any suggestions from locals...? The best museums etc?

Please count me in for the trip to the Wax museum as well, it'll be fun to get a selfie with a wax Mika...lol might even be better than trying to get one with the real Mika at least the wax version will be good and stay in one spot LOL :naughty: hahahaha not awkward at all :thumb_yello:

Except if you want to go to Biodome (http://m.espacepourlavie.ca/en couldbe fun with the little one) or St.Joseph Oriatory, both easily accessible by bus/metro, you're right. Most attractions are downtown

Last time I was in Montreal I visited St. Joseph's Oratory and Ohhhhhh I MUST visit again, it was truly spectacular.

  6. Thank you everyone!!

Oh no! It's really too far away and too expensive! but i hope to see him live in the next tour, the problem is that I don't know with who, because my frends are not interested :(

If you want i can teach you some italian! :)

You'll make so many friends here that you'll never go to shows alone again! :wink2:

I'd LOVE to learn some Italian!!! :thumb_yello:

Maybe you can start a new thread "Learning Italian with Chiara"

  7. Hello Chiara :)

Welcome! It's so nice that more wonderful people are joining! I think your English is quite good and FAR FAR FAR better than my Italian will ever be :thumb_yello:

There is so much to read on this site so you'll meet new friends quickly here. There's also a chat room that some of us use at various times of the day so please pop in sometime and chat with us when you have time.

There are many here who are travelling to Montreal next month to see Mika in concert with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, were you planning to come out this far too?

    Kat.

  8. I haven't heard either way but he did put a pic up before the new year from his home in Milan saying he was having listen through of the new album with his management. Maybe they had a few suggestions and he wants to be sure he's giving us his best.

I don't mind waiting longer, whenever it's ready I'm sure it will be worth the wait :thumb_yello:

  9. Hello! Welcome :)

MFC is a fantastic community, I've really enjoyed my time here so I hope you have an excellent experience as well.

On a side note, I travelled to Europe to visit family last summer and spent a week in Prague as well as a visit to Karlovy Vary for the film festival, WOW!!! the sights were truly stunning, the countryside and the city architecture were breathtaking. I hope I have an opportunity to visit again someday.

    Kat.

  10. same cold? really?

when i look at the temperature in Oslo today,

it is +3 celcius.... it's -22celcius in Montreal, but with the windchill, it feels like -31celcius. Your breath stops for a few seconds as you open your front door. :aah:

3 celcius to me would be like going to Florida on a day like today :yay:

:naughty: I'm not living in Oslo - and I'm not talking about just these days, which are unusual "warm". Where I live, in the countryside of the southern part, we had between - 25 and - 30 celcius during the Christmas days lately. Now we have one meter of snow, and very good temps, right now. Two years ago we had weeks of such terrible temps, as mentioned above !! :sneaky2: So your cold, Canadian winter temps, I've lived with my whole life, that why I say "I'm used to" it...:teehee:

    Love,love

    me

May I just say, what is WRONG with you people??? Are you :insane:???

Why on earth do you live where it gets that cold?!

    :naughty:

I may complain when we get a cold snap like we've had the last few days, but this is not the norm. If it was, I'd seriously rethink living here!

Aww, but you know I'm just playing with you. Seriously, I'm looking forward to my wintry visit in Montreal in a few weeks, and Scandinavia (Norway in particular) is on my bucket list of places to visit. :thumb_yello:

HA! I meet your -25C to -30C and beat it with -45C to -50C that I lived through for a few years up in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

We sure like our extremes :wink2:

  11. Well of course! I hope to find some bead shops and music stores and the like - and know everybody won't be into that!

:thumb_yello: This sounds just fantastic!! :huglove: Like you, I'll be in Montreal the whole week, from sunday eve, till next saturday. And I have no special plans - just hope to hang around with MFCers, and do what you talk about here - see, and get to know the city a bit, but most important, share time with you, kind and nice MIKA fans - I'm sure it will be amazing days ...:mikadas:

    Love,love

    me

As I work downtown, I am available for lunch any week day:wink2:

We're there from Saturday evening 7th until Friday 13th. Would be great to meet up now and then.

Am going to spend tonight checking out touristy things I want to do (weather permitting).

Anyone want to share what tourist attractions they'll be seeing/doing?

Ok so first I think we need to figure out a universal way of communicating while in Montreal so we can meet up or let each other know where we are in case of a stalled bus or whatever pops up :) Is everyone planning on just using MFC forums? I will have my cell phone and will be able to text but I'm not sure others traveling in from outside of Canada will have a cell or will want to use it in Canada...any suggestions?

Since I've never actually seen any of you in person I'd love to be able to recognize MFCers on the street. There was a suggestion made in Chat a could weeks ago about wearing a purple (or any colour) feather or some kind of MFC sign/button (buttons are harder to notice...for me lol) if you're wandering the streets of Montreal. I like the purple feather idea...hahahaha I don't know if others will like so if you have a better idea please share it :)

  12. Hello everyone,

I was just wondering when everyone will be arriving/leaving Montreal. I know a few people coming in early in the week, I'm flying in on Saturday before the gigs and leaving on the Saturday (14th = Valentine's day) after the gig.

I was wondering if anyone would like to get together during the days or on the free evenings to wander the city, get some lunch, visit tourist spots, check out some pubs, go dancing, go karaoke, or whatever :)

I'm very excited to meet many of you at the big dinner that's in the plans but it sure would be nice to get to know many of you even better when we've got some time just to hang out.

This is going to be such a fun trip, I'd just love to make the most of the time I have in Montreal and with/among you all. :gathering::drunk_sing::group_hug:

  13. Don't have my passport yet but today i booked my flight to Montreal :thumb_yello::clap:

I'll be arriving at YUL about 23 minutes after midnight on the 10th. if anyone happens to be in the Chicago O'hare airport at about 8:30pm on the 9th you might just get a glimpse of me running from terminal 1 to terminal 2 :teehee:

Hi Dee, that means you'll miss the first night gig then?

  14. Nice message Kat :thumb_yello:

We've all been newbies someday , do not hesitate to search in the forum for old threads , that's how you can find old topics and valuable informations about Mika and how the madness all started.

I'm always facinated by new members subscribing in a time where Mika is not really doing new stuff. Do you remember what Mika song did you hear the first ? What was your reaction ?

I'm sure Montreal's gig will be a blast ! How i wish i could go to it !

    ?

Hi again :) yes! The numerous threads on here are both fabulous and maddening because of all the awesome into to be found. But speaking of threads, when I found MFC a few months ago I wrote my story of how I became a fan of Mika's music on the introduction thread so if you're interested you can check that out :)

  15. So, a new party is coming for fans in France! :thumb_yello:

On Saturday the 20th of December we will have lunch (or drink) together at the same Irish pub than last year for Christmas. It was so delicious :wub2:

it's very close from The Voice place so those who will be going to the recording in the evening can do it easily.

It will be starting from 11h30 am but feel free to come / leave when you want! Most of us will probably be leaving the place around 3 pm to go to queue for The Voice :mf_rosetinted:

If you want to join us you are more than welcome, but please register at the email address rencontrefans@gmail.com :wink2:

Hoping to meet you there! :huglove:

The 20th is my birthday and I sooooo wish I could be there! But I'll be there in spirit so please someone have a drink for me :) Wishing you all an amazing time! :)
