thank you both!! I've found a nice hotel in the centre of Paris thats not too expensive but i'm torn between that one and the one near the venue. It would be nice to stay in the centre for sightseeing on Sunday but the taxis to get to and from the venue will end up being so expensive so I just keep going round in circles!

Out of interest (but mainly bc i'm having a breakdown trying to plan this trip) where abouts is everyone staying? I don't know Paris so I don't know what areas are nicer/safer and where's a bit deathy

that is a very good point about it being more expensive nearer the time, I may have a look tonight and work out what's cheeper and maybe book something this week! I will just check wherever I book that I can cancel them without charge and then it should be fine!

I haven't booked anything yet because of that, especially being in the uk I feel there's more of a chance all the rules change and I can't go, but i'm tempted to book something soon just so I don't run out of options nearer the time!

I was actually thinking about the eurostar as I think its cheaper and I hate flying so a win win! Plus I just checked and since Flybee went under there are no direct flights from Cardiff to Paris, I would have to stop over in Amsterdam which could be quite fun but with covid could be a nightmare! So I guess I will probably have to go from England.. I hope the rules are clearer by october!!

Oh god thats such a pain! good job you managed to get it sent off on time!! fingers crossed it all works out this time!! I had a brief look yesterday to see what you have to do regarding covid tests and documents to get in and out of the uk and France and my head hurts! Its made so much more complicated bc in wales we have a totally different set of rules to England and so different tests are needed as covid tests accepted by England aren't accepted by Wales and vice versa, but its hard to know what tests and paperwork i need if i'm flying to and from England but going back to Wales... so i decided to leave this stress till late September when hopefully things will be sorted out and more simple!!I mean it will probably change 50 times by then and I can't do anything now anyways as its too early! It will be a small miracle if i get there without any problems

Those will be really nice seats!! Yup so nice that they could sell the extra so more people can go, after the concert tonight I am even more desperate to see him live again as i'm sure everyone is!

I don't know if anyone will know but i thought i would ask anyway!- the tickets that were on sale yesterday are ones that I'm assuming they didn't sell earlier bc they were keeping them for social distancing. If things change by October is it possible that people with those tickets may be told that they aren't able to go? Because I got 2 good seats yesterday and so was going to sell some others I had bought earlier but I don't want to sell the others if thats the case! Also with reselling tickets on the ticket thread do I just need to change the names on the tickets and email them to the person? I want to make sure I do it right so they can actually get in!

I got an email back from them today saying that they are having some problems with their emails but they are working to get it solved. They sent me my ticket and conformation stuff though I emailed them using contact@cityvent.com if you wanted to get your conformation stuff too! Also idk if you have set up an account with them, but trying to change my email address on my account prompted it to send me a validation email for my account too.

All this covid certificates stuff sounds so complicated and like its going to be a last minute scramble to get all the right documents 😂I just hope that it won't be too complicated with the uk... although everything since coming out of the EU has been so this will probably be no different😂 I think I will just move to France at this point, seems like it will be a lot easier! Also I got a ticket for the draw last week (fingers crossed!) but I was wondering if anyone else had yet because I didn't get a conformation email? I set up an account though and it shows my ticket on there but I haven't had a verification email for my account either. I checked my email address is right about 100 times and i've looked in every folder of my emails and I used their contact form to message them but as i don't seem to be getting their emails I haven't heard back... I also messaged them on facebook too and they told me to call their phone line but my french is dreadful so..... Anyone else having problems... please tell me it's not just me😂

I'm not sure if any taxi company would take you that distance as its not worth their time unless you agree to pay quite a bit more, I could be very wrong though! If you do end up changing hotels its worth asking the reception to book you a taxi for the times you want and on the way back too. Thats what i've done before when i've been to Paris for mika stuff. They usually know good companies to go with and it saves me trying to find a taxi company and then communicating in my awful french!
