  1. To those of you who (like me) ordered the tourbook online and received a message that delivery had been postponed: I‘ve just looked up my order, and it says that I should expect delivery after April 14. So there‘s hope! Either that, or it‘s merely sort of an automatically set due date by the shop system. We‘ll find out in a few days.
  2. Well, we've got a saying in German that freely translates to "three times not scolded is once praised". Obviously, that also applies to the Netherlands
  3. One more proof that Dutch and Germans are obviously close neighbors in many regards
  4. I really had to laugh, comparing this to press reactions from other countries. Typical German euphoria, being like „Yeah well, Grace Kelly was good, but he‘s not the next Freddie Mercury. Anyhow, the show might be nice, so, maybe give him a chance?“ A very good example of maxed out German ecstasy
  5. Wow @MFC_Hasi, you‘re a true artist, the cake looks so fantastic! And the rainbow colors inside Thanks so much for this great idea, also @mellody for the absolutely beautiful flowers
  6. Then I‘ll definitely want a photo proof! I‘d even appreciate a heads-up in case he reacts via Instagram or whatever, as I still successfully manage to keep away from these platforms
  7. If there‘s any chance of some photos or a video from the cake handover, I‘d really love to see Mika‘s reaction to it I wish all of you who will be in Berlin a fantastic time!
  8. @mellody I won't be in Berlin, but I'm in for the gift, thanks a lot for the great idea! Money is on its way :-) You can add "Sascha (Deepblue)" to the list.
  9. That is such a beautiful report, @Presci1108, thank you so much! You've found wonderful words to describe it, and it really brings up the emotions in me I had after the Lille gig
  10. Well, at least it was very easy to convince her to come with me to the KUNST!RASEN gig in July
  11. Btw, to cite my wife after the gig: „Even I liked that!“
  12. Tickets have arrived!! Nothing against eTickets and stuff, but it's somehow nice to receive something "real" via mail
  13. Hey there, does anybody by chance know a place where I could get Mika-related postcards (besides from having them printed individually)? I am doing postcrossing regularly, and there are actually lots of people who tell me that they also love Mika when they read it in my profile. So I thought it would be nice to have some appropriate postcards in my repertoire I understand that there have been postcards in Mika‘s merch store, but there isn‘t anything anymore … If someone has got a good idea where I could find some, that‘d be really great!
  14. I just saw that the VIP packages are now available on regular sale at bonnticket.de as well. They are quite expensive at 218,50 €, though …
  15. Finally back home, and as speaking is not an option today, I thought I might also sit down at the PC and share some impressions with you that one doesn't get from Instagram or press releases. First of all: Sorry, but no videos from my side. My smarter-than-me smartphone actually made some great ones - but it also somehow managed to mainly record my terrible singing and ignored the sound of the arena. This is a big achievement, obviously, as I have not even been able to hear myself. Anyhow, as I don't want to disturb you with terrible noises, I'll keep these videos for myself I could find many adjectives for this gig that sound somewhat appropriate, but I don't seem to find just the right ones. I am actually a bit lost for words on how good the concert really was. Mika has been such an incredible powerhouse! He interacted with his audience incredibly well, especially with his "enfants terribles", as he called them, in front of the stage. We had seats on the upper part of the ranks, but still with a very good view. And I was honestly surprised about the diversity in the audience. I sat next to a very quiet guy, probably 70 or 75 years old, but once the show began, he exploded and hit every single note as if his life depended on it. We had lots of fun singing together, even though we couldn't speak to each other, with him only speaking french. Around us, there have been families with children, older couples, younger couples, groups of friends ... It has really been like a huge family event with such an incredibly happy and peaceful atmosphere. In general, the crowd simply went crazy whenever Mika did - well, basically anything. It was during "Big Girl" when he suddenly popped up in the upper ranks, and the cheers were simply enourmous. He then had to interrupt the intro to "Sweetie Banana" and restart after a minute because he was completely out of breath, having somehow got back to the stage in no time The fan whom Mika invited to the stage for "Elle me dit" - I think that has been his once in a lifetime moment. The guy danced so incredibly well, and I think he only realized the huge cheers and applause as he left the stage. For me, it has probably been the best experience of any kind since years and years. I loved every tiny bit of it, and when we went back to our hotel, waiting at the traffic lights a bit away from the venue, somehow realizing what I had witnessed there - I simply teared up in front of Gare de Flandres and had to stand there for a moment in the fresh air and breathe. This won't have been my last Mika experience, for sure! I am incredibly thankful for having had the opportunity to be a part of this. Saying to Mika "you made my day!" would simply be a MASSIVE understatement. Yesterday has been one of the happiest days in my life.
