Call it the 'Tip of the Week' - the Alarmschijf was 'founded' in 1969 and it has brought many number 1 positions throughout the years. Mika just lost his no.1 position with Relax after 7 weeks - hopefully BG will become his next no.1 in the Netherlands? Big girl (you are beautiful)’ van Mika is de Alarmschijf Mika is lekker bezig. Hij heeft wekenlang op nummer één gestaan met ‘Relax, take it easy’. En dat terwijl veel mensen bang waren dat de Libanees/Britse zanger met zijn hit ‘Grace Kelly’ een eendagsvlieg zou zijn. Die angst blijkt nergens voor nodig, want Mika heeft inmiddels al 3,5 miljoen stuks van zijn debuutalbum 'Life in Cartoon Motion' verkocht. Mika’s nieuwe single ‘Big girl (you are beautiful)’ is ook weer een vrolijk nummer. In onder andere Engeland, Ierland en Finland staat het nummer al in de top tien van de hitlijsten. Hoe hoog Mika dit keer in de Top 40 terechtkomt is nog even afwachten. Je hoort ‘Big girl’ als Alarmschijf. Short translation/summary: it says Mika is going strong, he kept the no.1 position for weeks with Relax although many people were worried that he would be a one hit wonder with GK. He has sold 3.5 million copies of LiCM. His new song BG is another happy song that has reached the top-10 yet in England, Ireland and Finland. Oh well.
