Yea, I had exactly five tests/quizzes this week. And it was really stressful because one of my teachers gave me a cut for her class when I wasn't even in school, so I had to get that straightened out. Where are we meeting the day of the gig? 3. WHEN are we meeting the day of the gig? 4. WHAT are we going to do after the show? I know some things have been tossed back and forth and we have time to decide, but I just want to be sure we actually DO decide on these issues. I don't want to miss anything! I saw that titty offered her advice, as she lives there in NY, and also JV who is in NY, as well... I'm not a regular in NYC by any stretch, I only get there maybe once a year... so I'm going to rely on folks who seem to be in the know. Please help us! I was thinking, why don't we have a meet-up for lunch, get to know one another, etc? And then make our way over to the line at 2-pm-ish? --Jack Having been to New York in the winter this makes a lot of sense to me... I desperately want to be in the front for the show, too, but we'll all have pneumonia if we stand in the line too long... Man, though, 10 am is earrrrrrly! I suppose we could have brunch... but remember, NY in February is really-really cold! Waiting outside from 2pm on is bad enough already... The doors don't open until when? 7 p.m.? Having recently stood in line at Glasgow in the cold, dark, rain from about 4 until 7 I can tell you that's not a fun thing... even though were lots of us and we sang and had fun, after about 2 hours you're ready to go inside in the warm and dry... We need to make a MFC sign so that it can be in our group photos.....Maybe when we all meet for brunch, it can be our 'project' ...... I had a big poster made up with the MFC logo for the DC meet last summer -- I could do that again if you all want? YOU'RE NOT SURE IF YOU GOING TO PHILLY? i'M GOING TO THE SHOW AS WELL. BUT I DON'T SEE MUCH MCFERS GOING THERE.I'M GOING BY MYSELF! No, Philly isn't looking good. At first I thought I would be able to make it, because it's the closest, but it's a Thursday -- so I don't think that's going to work... Anyhow... it all sounds swell, I'm getting very excited. Revica Posted December 30, 2007 Share Posted December 30, 2007 iiiimmmmmm back!! miss me? lol, it was amazing, i saw plenty of manatees...weird little-- er big things...lol...and mucho alligators, etc. -waves to Finkster and everyone- its so cold back here in NJ! but, thats okay, its getting closer and closer to Feb 2nd!!! we really need to get serious about this -nods- so, i know so far something like getting there morning-ish (depends ofcourse) meeting for lunch/brunch, maybe a little project for our MFC sign? getting in line early (although we have some complaints for weather and waiting so we'll have to see exactly what we are doing..) thats my summary...did i miss anything? also, about the standing in line problem, maybe we could keep our spots in groups? so then, if someone needs a break etc. etc. .. go in shifts..
