Iridaceae Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 No Billy Brown never intended t be a bad person.But he "used' someone else to hide & not face things he had no control of in his own life. I am sure there was family & peer pressure & all of that. It is a tough situation in our society today let alone forty or fifty years ago. The crime is he used another human being. I have met the women & children who suffered terribly from this single decision of the Billy Browns of the world. The damage is horrific! Do you have any idea how long it takes a women to recover from this & how long it takes her to trust "anybody" again. It entails things that you wouldn't even think of. You are right - I don't have much sympathy for their selfish actions. I do have sympathy for the Billy Browns. Sometimes there is no other way for people then hide themselves. Being gay isn't properly accepted by everyone and being a minority isn't always easy. People discriminate, that's a fact and if someone can't cope with the discrimination then is maybe at the time he makes the decision to marry a female and have children the right one for him. Also there are people who once were 'fully gay' and noticed that it hurt their family (parents), they were discriminated, couldn't get the job they deserved because of it and so on... and married and had children to live a 'normal' live. Just because the environment is such an important part of the decision the Billy Browns have to make I wouldn't judge them all to be using somebody and being selfish. (This is just my opinion and I hope I've made myself clear, I'm not saying I'm right at all.
