Thanks! :thumb_yello:

1200 people? I'm not convinced... I guess there were about 500. A woman told us they had even moved the stage forward to make the venue smaller than usual.

I didn't like the supporting act very much. They were good musicians, but a bit boring imo. :boxed:

OK, I don 't even thinkthatanyone is still reading this thread, but as promissed, I'll write my report. First of all, it was, so far, the most amazing Mika's gig I've evr been to (and my 2nd gig of his so far). Enjoyed it from the very beginning until the very end. :biggrin2:

I arrived at the Monte Carlo Bay Resort Hotel, nearby which is "La Salle Des Etoiles" where the concert took place, around 4 PM. Cubitus, Polysemia and I met around 4:40 PM and tried to get near the concert hall but were soon expulsed by the security guards. It was really awkward :sneaky2: . As they told us the doors would open around 7PM, we decided to have a quick drink somewhere near. Well, it turned out we CLIMBED the whole Monte Carlo to finally sit down in front of the Royal Casino and drink some good juices (or Sprite, for Cubitus). Our feet were aching so badly, as we were all dressed in classical clothes, and Polysemia and I wore high heels (which I lately changed to flip flops, cause I couldn't stand the painful feet anymore :aah: ). We had really nice conversation, and then tried to make ouor way back to the concert hall. When we arrived, about 6:50 PM, there were already about 30 people, and at least half of them weren't even dressed in costumes / dresses, but in Converse and shorts. When we saw it, we went nearly mad, as we felt like complete idiots (at least, I did) to dress really official, meanwhile most of the crowd didn't give a damn about their clothes for the evening. The first doors opened around 7:15 PM and we made our way to the second, closed door, of the Salle Des Etoiles, which stayed closed until 8:20 PM. While queueing, Cubitus saw Mrs Penniman coming outside and managed to go and talk to her, so he could come up on stage with Mika - he suceeded. He was carying the giant Toy Boy, and even waved to Polysemia and me while he was on stage. :biggrin2: When the 2nd doors opened, the people in the back were pushing so hard, there wasn't any space to breath, and someone has even stood on my foot, already aching :bash: We went to the concert hall as quickly as possible, and managed to be front row. The set was amazing, flowers everywhere and the satge was really close to us, and so small! If you raised up your hand, you could've almost touched the musicians! The first part of Mika, a group of two musicians, were pretty horrible, personnally, I really wanted them to go. Once Mika went on stage, I went completely mad, singing along ALL the time, screaming, jumping and dancing / taking photos videos. I really enjoyed Happy Ending on the piano, so soft! During Rain, he went shirtless, it drove the crowd completely mad :teehee: As it was a very short concert, he didn't sing Good Gone Girl, I See You or Kick Ass (which is my favourite song, so it kept me quite disappointed, I was waiting for it so baaadllyyy! :tears:) but he sang "La Solitude", his favourite song by Barbara. It was pretty moving, there's something special about this song.... He was talking quite a lot to the public, playing around whit Martin and Jimmy :naughty: , and dancing with the Bride and the animals during Lollipop. During "Love Today"

he changed lyrics from "Hey Girl, why can't you carry on...." to "Hey BOY, why can't you carry on...." . He managed to neither fall off stage nor forget his lyrics which was really great! Loved the trumpet solo during Stuck In The Middle, the Death March and the beggining of We Are Golden, where he added some new lyrics (BTW if anybody can write these lyrics down here, I'd be really grateful. I think there are some vids of WAR live in Monaco on the YouTube.) it was really marvelous, such energy! :biggrin2: When the show ended, the first thing I've done, was running, sprinting to the toilets and drinking, as I haven't eaten / drink for about 5 hours!!!! Water has never tasted SO GOOD in my whole life! Amazing ** After refreshing ourselves, Polysemia and I went outside, to wait for Mika to come. We met Cubitus, who was in a really good mood, as he got to meet Mika, and got and autograph and a photo (we're still waiting to see that, Cubitus :D ). Bodyguards were really tough with us, didn't want to tell when / if Mika's gonna come.... We waited for about 2 hours!!! But then they got all the barriers off and told us Mika was long gone... I was so disappointed! I said "goodbye" to Polysemia, which I was so happy to meet, what a wonderful girl :huglove: , and went back to my hotel. It turned out Mika went outside, about one hour after I left. Though the concert was an incredible experience, I was still really sad I didn't get to meet him ,as both, Polysemia and Cubitus did. Well, I hope the next time will be the good one!!!! :)

thank you very much for your lovely and detailed report Elaire! :flowers2:

Reports are always appreciated, even late ones :wink2:

I understand you, i go mad at Mika's shows as well :teehee::biggrin2:

He's been singing "Hey Boy" instead of "Hey Girl" at last gigs, i think because he addresses to the giant Toy Boy :biggrin2:

do you remember how long it lasted?

I adore La Solitude and he sings it so beautifully! :wub2::tears:

I'm really sorry you didn't meet Mika, but I'm sure you'll have a chance in the future :original:

Here're the introduction to WAG (thanks Lollipop_Monkey - Mana)

"Running, running around

Sick of acting the clown

Leaves me nothing to do

But have to think of you

So much left to go wrong

Didn't knew I belonged

If I had words for hate

Would I have lived this way?

Now I'm sitting alone

And I'm looking for help

Left here on my own

I'm gonna kill myself

Many years have gone by

I'm still wonderin' why

I ever let the world,

let it bleed me dry".

(In the acoustic version he says "hurt" instead of "kill")

I have already uploaded all the videos. You can find most of the gig on my Youtube account now. :thumb_yello:

I know we shouldn't have filmed. But being able to watch that fabulous gig again is such a blessing. :blush-anim-cl:

The audience was so quiet during La Solitude. :wub2:
