UMBRIA JAZZ RETURNS IN 2021 FROM JULY 9-18. | Umbria Jazz

 

Today we are forced to make an announcement that we would never have wanted to make: Umbria Jazz 20 in Perugia (July 10-19), is cancelled.

 

This painful decision has been made by the Fondazione di Partecipazione Umbria Jazz (the Umbria Jazz Foundation), due to the prolonged health emergency caused by the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic and to the uncertainty that makes the presence of many international artists impossible at the moment.

 

We acknowledge that this year it will be impossible to realise an edition of Umbria Jazz as we have always imagined, conceived and proposed it.

Some concerts scheduled for this summer have already been re-scheduled to 2021 with these dates:

 

TOM JONES July 13

REDMAN-MEHLDAU-MCBRIDE-BLADE: A MoodSwing Reunion   July 14

 

Others are being re-scheduled and there will be future communications about the new dates.

 

Therefore, tickets already purchased for all the events to be re-scheduled remain valid.

 

For all other events not re-scheduled for 2021, a voucher for the same amount will be will issued.

That's interesting... they're trying to do that in Germany as well, but apparently this isn't allowed due to certain EU laws. As many things are different these days, who knows... but it'll be an interesting point for Mika events that aren't rescheduled now, because many of us might not be interested in a voucher, if it isn't possible to get Mika tickets for it. Or would it be a voucher for any ticket on ticketone / ticketmaster? Does anyone know?

COVID-19 EMERGENCY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS RE UJ2020 CANCELLATION

THIS INFORMATION WILL BE CONSTANTLY UPDATED IN RESPECT OF AND ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY THE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES

 

Premise

The aim of the following FAQs is to provide the necessary information to all those who have purchased tickets for UJ2020 concerts, cancelled due to the international health emergency that we are all experiencing.

 

On January 30, 2020, following the warning by China (December 31, 2019) of a cluster of pneumonia cases of unknown etiology (later identified as a new Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus) in the city of Wuhan, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 epidemic a public health emergency of international importance.

The following day, the Italian Government, with a resolution on January 31, 2020 of the Council of Ministers, given the WHO international public health emergency declaration for coronavirus,  and taking into account the particularly widespread nature of the epidemic, declared a state of national health emergency until July 31, 2020 and implemented the first urgent measures regarding the containment and management of the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency throughout the entire country.

 

Considering also:

• the obvious cause of force majeure, consisting in the international public health emergency declaration for COVID-19;
• the consequences of this international emergency situation (blocked flights, closed borders, etc.);
• the significant constraints and limits imposed by the Prime Ministerial Decree of 17.05.2020 until 31 July 2020 for outdoor performances, of the constraints and limits incompatible with the nature and characteristics of the UJ2020 Festival programme, which had been scheduled from July 10-19, 2020 and so falling within the period of validity of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 17.05.2020;
• the cancellation and/or postponement of concerts by all the international artists who would have performed at UJ2020;
• the obligatory and inevitable - for all the aforementioned reasons - cancellation of UJ2020; for no reason can the Fondazione di Partecipazione di Umbria Jazz be considered in default of the purchasers of the relative entrance tickets.

The provisions of the following FAQs apply in addition to the conditions and terms of the official sales circuits (online and offline) authorised for the sale of tickets and in addition to the conditions and terms that regulate access and use of the event location.

In ottemperanza alle disposizioni per evitare il diffondersi del COVID-19, Barley Arts è spiacente di comunicare che i concerti del Revelation Tour di Mika previsti per mercoledì 15 luglio a Perugia, martedì 4 agosto a Taormina, giovedì 6 agosto a Riola Sardo (OR) e lunedì 10 agosto all’Arena di Verona sono annullati.

 

Sarà possibile fare richiesta di voucher ai circuiti di biglietteria entro e non oltre il 31 luglio 2020. Per maggiori informazioni sulle modalità di inoltro della richiesta, consultare il sito del circuito di biglietteria che ha emesso il biglietto.

The summer dates of the MIKA Revelation Tour are cancelled

In compliance with the provisions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Barley Arts is sorry to report that Mika's Revelation Tour concerts scheduled for Wednesday 15 July in Perugia, Tuesday 4 August in Taormina, Thursday 6 August in Riola Sardo (OR) and Monday 10 August at the Arena di Verona are canceled.

It will be possible to request vouchers from the ticket circuits by and no later than 31 July 2020. For more information on how to forward the request, consult the website of the ticket circuit that issued the ticket.

In relazione ai concerti di Lenny Kravitz, Mika ed Anita Baker che hanno subito la cancellazione a causa dell’emergenza epidemiologica, Umbria Jazz comunica che procederà al rimborso monetario per i suddetti eventi.

Chiediamo al gentile pubblico ancora un pò di pazienza per definire tempi e modalità di rimborso che ci ripromettiamo di rendere noti entro il prossimo 10 Settembre.
