And moreover, my last gig was 7 years ago. Once, at M&G in Salamanca I told to Mika: "Come to Marbella". He looked at me strangely, but maybe in his subconscious this word was printed in some way 😆😆😆😆 well, just joking 😎 I felt so privileged at the gig. The venue is incredible, between the rocks, my seat in the 3 row was just what anyone can dream of, I heard Mika telling the world Marbella so beautifully and so many times! Marab Posted July 28, 2023 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Hi I finally emerge from this crazy spanish getaway ! And sorted my photos and vidéos. It was short for me but dense and intense. Left alone, but met a lot of fans on my way and on the spot . Mila marked his place in this elitist Festival, with a public which seemed probably used to "Ibiza" parties.He adapted by making efforts in spanish language, in songs and chats. The public even conquered,remained quite wise.We were not very much Mikafans.We got up to danse most of the time but sat down then after each song.No rush to the stage. As you can see on videos on IG ,Mika disappeared and reappeared at the back in the crowd standing up on the high stand behind us. He sang Life your live,it's not a surprise, even he said that it wasn't used to sing it on stage. 🤣. Only 1 or maybe 2 signs with request but no one went on stage. Mika worked hard, his energy seduced the public ,it couldn't be otherwise.He was happy ! The venue was huge, several stages and the festival was planned until 6 am. It was very far from Marbella city, and far from any accomodations, very difficult to access without a car.We jungled betwwen countless busses, uber,even climbing on the mountain road on foot 🤣. Roxane Posted July 31, 2023 Share Posted July 31, 2023 I know it was nearly a week ago, but I finally have some time to write just a little something here ahah 😊 It was, as usual, a great concert!! ☺️ Mika was full of energy and seemed to be in a really good mood, and even if the audience didn’t seem to know him very well and didn’t dance much at the beginning, by the end of the concert everyone was standing up and dancing (even though it’s true most people sat back down between each song 😅) I was really happy because I heard “Overrated”, “Boum boum boum” and “Good guys” live for the first time 🥰 And seeing the flower piano with the little “May your head always bloom” sign in real life made me cry 🥲 After the concert, we waited for Mika until 3am, unsuccessfully… I had brought a drawing for him to sign and a present for him, but I’ll have to wait until next time haha 😅 But at least I got to meet many MFCers and talk a lot while we were waiting, which was very nice! 😊 3 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Una explosión de vida donde lo más primordial del show vivido ayer en Starlite Festival es la capacidad vocal del artista, y como es capaz de traspasar toda su energía positiva infinita hacia todo el público de la maravillosa cantera que se sentía en todo momento arropado y en constante conexión con el protagonista de la noche. Buena parte del evento presidía con este lema de luces de neón «May your head always bloom», una posible traducción es «que tu cabeza siempre florezca», y es lo que personalmente me resume todo lo que Mika quiere comunicar en sus conciertos. Muchas de sus anécdotas y explicaciones tenían que ver con su propio crecimiento y florecimiento, era una sensación constante de que le hablaba a toda la gente que había ido a verle en su primer concierto en Marbella, de su propio renacer y que esa propia experiencia la podía tener cada uno de sus muchos seguidores que, con sus colores en la manera de vestir, estaban constantemente agradecidos y vitoreando las letras de sus canciones más conocidas y alabando, además, el transitar veloz de un lado a otro y siempre con esa sonrisa inquebrantable en el rostro del intérprete. Y es realmente impresionante lo que hace con su voz. La parte instrumental es su base fundamental para poder jugar con su garganta como quiere, llegar a tonos espectaculares de agudos y falsetes con una fuerza espectacular de emociones y descubrir a un auténtico talento con ritmo y ternura que miraba hacia todos lados entusiasmado por todo el público albergado para disfrutar con él. Además de ese llamamiento al florecimiento personal, encontré que es de los artistas que más celebra su internacionalidad intentando en todo momento durante el espectáculo ir hablando en todos los idiomas posibles que conoce, pero que nunca le ha gustado estudiar porque siempre ha querido más bailar. Por eso mi sensación es que en cada instante su objetivo es unir idiomas y culturas, a través del lenguaje más universal que es el de la música, y la suya comprobamos que es magnífica con ese despliegue interpretativo al que acompañaba una escenografía de disco pop de luces de neón y sorpresas de muchos colores que aparecían de repente ante nuestros ojos. El concierto, con una introducción en el que nos da las buenas noches en español presentándose, arranca con «Lollilop» donde le vemos, de una manera cercana con su pianista y un traje verde completamente brillante, dar las gracias por actuar de nuevo en España. Y ya el abanico de agudos empieza de esta manera tan suave que me gusta más y donde aprecio esos matices increíbles que Mika tiene con su voz. Todos los cambios de ritmo de las canciones se suceden con una percusión de las que retumban con intensidad, y un juego de luces que anima a todos los espectadores a seguir ese ritmo del amor, las flores, el baile y los colores. Para concluir esta conocida canción a lo mínimo, y en ese susurro delicioso que me encanta apreciarle. Le sigue «The origin of love», y el público ya empieza a marcar con las manos esos corazones que llenarían toda la cantera de Starlite. Es un artista que mantiene esas posturas contundentes delante del micro pero a la vez mantiene una cercanía constante con la gente. Y digo bien lo de las flores porque fue otra de las sorpresas, sin duda, con flores enormes que no dejaban de aparecer en el escenario y que Mika iba regalando a los asistentes. Siendo su primera vez en Marbella creo que es de los artistas más felices que he visto en mi vida. Su sonrisa no cesaba nunca, y en vez de ir su voz de menos a más, era su alegría la que iba de menos a más en este show. Suena «Ice cream», ya sin chaqueta, para luego dar lugar a «Big Girl», con un potente solo de batería, en el que consigue cambiarse a un traje blanco queriendo llevarnos a un lugar mucho más chic que el que estamos donde quiere que todo el mundo estemos bailando. Aquí llega una de las sorpresas cuando baja de repente al escenario y toda la gente puede tocarle, fotografiarle y sacar vídeo mientras anima a todos a «take your breath and close your eyes». Respiramos, por tanto, y cerramos los ojos para «Tiny Love», uno de los temas más sugerentes y bellos que sonaron en el concierto con un final de voz alucinante donde ya en el piano vemos ese contundente «May your head always bloom». La chaqueta sobra para ese momentazo con «Relax» que todos esperábamos, sin duda ésta fue la canción que ya nos hizo levantarnos a todos y que me encanta descubrirle recorrer todo el escenario dejándose llevar por el propio sonido y la vibración tan buena de la gente. «Overrated» es lo siguiente que escuchamos donde la electrónica supera ya los niveles del pop y que me hace preguntarme como Mika puede mantener ese nivel vocal durante tanto tiempo. Es uno de los regalos que me llevo de la noche, el poder descubrir ese tesoro que tiene en su garganta. Y como era de esperar, no puede quedarse en el escenario y sorprende en «Underwater» subiéndose donde está la gente de los palcos superiores y haciendo que ellos sean su coro en esta canción tan soberbia. Les llama el mejor coro gospel de Marbella, y nos hace ver que él se mantiene conectado a todo su público, compre la entrada que compre, y dándole protagonismo con ese agradecimiento constante a que vengan a escucharle. Será también una tónica durante todo el evento querer contar con el público coreando sus canciones y haciéndoles partícipe de la felicidad que el cantante está viviendo. Aparte de «Relax», mi momentazo viene con «Rain» que es una de las canciones que más uso en mis momentos más delicados y es una sensación única estar pendiente de cómo puede llegar a esos agudos y vibrar bailando de un lado a otro. Es inútil que uno pueda estar contenido observando todo lo que Mika desprende en este tema. Se lleva mi agradecimiento por sacar mi propia lluvia interior. Cogiendo uno de los carteles que le regala el público con el lema «Dreams come true», el artista canta «Live your life», para pasar a «Boum boum» con mucha complicidad por parte del público en este tema. Le dedica «Good guys» al productor que estaba disfrutando del concierto, que vive en Málaga y que apostó por él en ese tema, y también le dedica «Yoyo» a su amigo Antonio con el que intentó estudiar español en Sitges para ir llegando al final con «Happy ending» donde desarrolla los falsetes más espectaculares y es la ocasión donde terminan de crecer las flores del piano que presiden el escenario. Por cierto vaya solo de guitarra que me recordó a mi «Dust in the wind» y que culmina la canción de forma preciosa. Tras la premisa de «cuando la vida es una mierda, baila», vamos a la conclusión de esta mágica noche con las tres canciones más esperadas, en traje amarillo mi «Grace Kelly», la canción donde afortunadamente descubrí a este fantástico artista hace muchos años. A continuación, «We are golden», y el momento propina que diría Ara Malikian, para dar el toque final con «Love today» y que no falten una flor enorme, él vestido de morado, una percusión de nuevo de escándalo y cambiarse enseguida para recorrer el escenario entero con una capa verde y un collar de colores donde de nuevo podemos leer «bloom». Florecemos siempre gracias a la música de este artista, y esperamos que esa felicidad crezca en muchas otras raíces musicales donde deseamos escucharle de nuevo en todos los idiomas que quiera desplegar para unirnos de nuevo en una noche tan vibrante y auténtica.
